Conrad Harder's arrival was expected today, but has been delayed because Sporting want a replacement before he leaves. I thought all this was agreed upon? Strange.
Also, Di Marzio says Vlahovic arrival is ruled out because of Harder's arrival (when/if it happens).
So this is the only one? A current Sporting reserve...

When then the same club sells an ordinary defender, like Thiaw to Newcastle for 40 million euros, and decides to replace him with another equally ordinary defender, like De Winter, spending half as much, the suspicion grows.
And when finally, to solve the striker problem, it relies on a 20-year-old reserve from Sporting Lisbon, then the suspicion becomes certainty.
This Milan — more and more halfway between Elliott and RedBird — seems to have a very clear priority: keeping the books in order. And to do so, it focuses almost exclusively on trading (buying and selling players), neglecting what should be the real goal: strengthening the team.

Antonio Vitiello has written a rather scathing piece for MilanNews about the summer’s activity after the first game and the disappointment of the season.
“We hope it was just a blip, a major slip-up on the opening day of the season, but to be honest, the impression we got at San Siro against Cremonese was truly awful.
“We revisited all the structural problems of last season, both tactical and technical, but also environmental. It was a disturbing evening, which affected both AC Milan fans and the coach.
It’s no coincidence that the day after the poor showing against Cremonese, a transfer summit was held at the club to try to address the situation. The Tuscan coach asked to improve the squad with a striker, a midfielder, and a defender.
In this final week, the team will be improved, but the feeling remains that the transfer market conducted so far hasn’t improved the team compared to last year. Indeed, in some ways, the quality has even declined.
‘Too many gambles, too many unknowns, and too few certainties. The attack has weakened compared to last season, as has the defence, with only a couple of good players added in midfield."

Why is top 4 realistic? We finished 8th last season and our squad this season is even weaker.
I think we need a miracle to finish top 4.

We did not finished 8th because we had squad for 8th place. But because team was mismanaged. Just look at Napoli. Finished 9th, lost key players - got Conte - won the title next season.
Now we also have "top coach"
, but I won't be that greedy to "demand" title, just half of what Conte did - 4th spot.We might be weaker, but it's not like competition built killing squads. I mean competition for 4th spot... Roma, Atalanta, Lazio...

Moretto: Yunus Musah is getting closer to Atalanta. AC Milan and Atalanta are in constant contact. Musah has already agreed to join. Atalanta are ready to close the deal for around €25M.
Como are in constant contacts with AC Milan to try to close the Alex Jimenez deal. Roma have also initiated talks with Milan for Jimenez in the last few hours.

There are rumors that Jimenez had a falling-out with Allegri, which might explain his mysterious absence from so many matches.
His versatility is valuable,he allows us to switch fluidly between a 4-3-3 and a 3-5-2, same as Saelemaekers. Selling him wouldn’t bring in much money, and loaning him out feels pointless. Worst case, we could send him to Futuro.
Still, I believe the coaching staff are confident they can repair the relationship. A strong performance from the player and some hugs could be the right antidote.

For some, like Jimenez and Saelemaekers, versatility means "Jack of All Trades, Master of None".
Jimenez is still young and can develop, so I wouldn't mind him staying. Not sure about Saelemaekers, I don't think he will ever be good enough to be a starter for us.
I don't think we can send Jimenez to Futuro, Serie D is absolutely not enough for him.

I like Alexis, teams need players like him, because he elevate others with his quick passing and hard work. He can produce quite a few assists and is often involved in build up to goals.
As long as there are other players to score (as i never see him producing a lot there) and he is not expected to hold our defense together.
Jimenez, I am not 100% sure about him, but he can do some really good stuff, but also had some stinkers.
