RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - WCmilan - 11-25-2011 We should get tevez he'll give ibra/robinho/pato a rest and we should play him always for schudetto, along with el shaarawy, then we can buy a midfielder like ganso or montolivo or de rossi who isnt cup tied to help us in CL. i think our attack is okay for CL as long as they keep form, by having tevez not available for CL we can let him play more seria a games letting perferably ibra rest.. Then we will solve our midfield issues for CL and possibly yes another LB RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Hasan Rossonero - 11-25-2011 I like the thought WCMmilan, but how much rest Ibra gets also depends on how Tevez will adjust in the team. Further, he hasn't been playing much lately, so integrating him may be a slower process than we hope. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - xudong - 11-25-2011 I know what you mean. You are saying that Tevez an be used as Ronaldo in 06-07, but still, I would like to have someone that can directly contribute to our CL. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Jay Crisp - 11-25-2011 We should sign Brock Lesnar play him at CB ...Tevez is quality and no reason why at Milan he wont be made behave we make players better its what we do , and while they'll spend 25 million on Tevez they won't on a midfielder we need it but they wont , If a Iniesta or Fabregas came up or Sneijder for 20-25 million theyd buy them.We have no problem 10-12 for a star player off form or a bit troublesome , they just won't take a punt and spend that money on a Gotze or Ericksen or Hazard and thats a big problem , anybody can see these guys are not only prospects they all will be great great players. So while some say no to Tevez spend it on a mid , if Tevez doesnt come nobody will and that money will not be spent on a mid unless its a world class player with issues coming at a cut price if ye get me. I was wondering how come I didn't know who he was. Then I googled. and if Allegri needs to make major change to fit Tevez, we may see some loss of points. Remember what happened when Ibrahimovic first joined? Allegri seems to always need quite a long while to get a new system to work. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Hitman - 11-26-2011 my post on Tevez: I'm fairly confident he will not cause any problems here. He didn't cause any at Man Utd, the one who caused the probs there was none other than Ferguson who is notorious for his problems with many of his players - he simply had Tevez play at Utd for free and play so good, but he didn't want to pay the 30m to sign him. He thought with 30m he could improve the team instead of keeping it the way it was - he never caused any probs there. Only probs caused were at City cause they treated him like dirt. The only reason in the first place he accepted to leave Utd and go to their rival club and a club much lower, was because of the wages they paid initially. It takes quite an amount of money to convince someone to go from a CL challenging team to a nothing team (what City was when he joined them). He is no money whore, he is no problem maker. He's been wanting to leave City for a couple of years but they couldn't cope with that fact so they've forced him to stay against his will - and it was one step too far and that is why he said he didn't want to play. Yes he is a tough nut, he always was, but so were Cassano and Zlatan in their careers. There's no reason for him not to come here. The problems he's had have always come from an initial action by someone hurting him. He hasn't caused problems out of nothing - like Balotelli for example. Just like how Balo is proving to be a star and indispensable for City now, Tevez was that once upon a time for them, and can be that again. He's a fantastic player. I just dont know what will happen if he comes here. I prefer Inzaghi in the CL over even Ibrahimovic for us, but it is obvious that Allegri doesn't rate him. Then there are other players like Cassano, Robinho, Pato and El Shaarawy - not to mention the untouchable Ibrahimovic. Milan's management will definitely not pay that amount of money and that amount of wage for a player to be 5th sub. They have a plan and it definitely includes selling one of our stars - and I don't like it...however if it were to happen, it's not up to us fans and we have no control over it, and Tevez is the ideal player to replace one of the four players leaving. I think it's obvious that we will see El Shaarawy leaving on loan in January. There's a chance Inzaghi will leave in January, very disappointed...if he comes to Montreal Impact though I'll be satisfied with it . I agree with most people here, this money should rather be spent on a superstar midfielder like De Rossi or Fernando. We need such players and I actually do think we have a sensible chance of winning the CL with a little bit of luck... It doesn't look like MvB or Ambro will return to world class form any time soon though, and seeing as both their contracts expire in the summer, it might be a smart idea to invest into that position immediately. In conclusion, the attack is fine as it is, however if the management have a plan to sell a striker in Jan or Jun, then Tevez is the best replacement - especially on a loan/option to redeem deal. If he's just a luxury addition - then it is vital we spend that money on a midfielder (or two) instead. I would like to have Ganso and De Rossi in January - that would take an investment of about 30m (the amount we were going to spend on Cesc or our big money signing last summer). Ganso can come for 25m (maximum) and De Rossi for 5m (he won't come for more than that, because if Roma dont agree he'll come for free in June). And he is exactly the player we need + within reach. I don't think we can get him that cheaply. He has played for Roma all his life and stated that he wants to stay.Honestly, I don't believe he will "betray" his lifetime club like that. But if were to pay Roma a good transfer fee - 10/15 millions, then we might get him without unsettling Roma or the player. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Hitman - 11-26-2011 No way 15m euro when he's got 4 months left. Keep in mind we have an ace up our sleeve - Adriano Galliani. That would make sense if it was in August last year, but the thought of him being free in May will certainly be on Galliani's mind and for sure he will not spend that amount of money - for sure. It's not about the quality of the player, it really is about the contract in this case. Even Messi in this position shouldn't be bought for 15 - because in this case Roma have no more control over the situation at all. It is up to them whether they'd like to lose him for free, or accept our 5m bid... They could ofcourse accept Man City's 20m bid but they can't force DDR to accept it, however if we have an agreement with De Rossi - it's checkmate Roma ![]() For some reason I feel De Rossi has been very contradictory with his comment the last couple of months, and I feel he simply is postponing his contract extension until January so that the fans won't turn against him and create a mess at the club. He keeps saying we are negotiating and we are reaching a goal. The difference betweeen Montolivo and De Rossi is that Monto has openly declared he wants to leave, De Rossi is playing the waiting game and saying he's unsure (when he already has probably made up his mind on whether he's leaving or staying). I think he'll continue postponing his contract talks until eventually Milan come in with the offer. I do think he could be our Mister X after the failure with Fabregas. We still though will need another creative player like Ganso to play as trequartista. De Rossi can do MvB's job pretty good - but even DDR is limited and not the complete midfielder. My dream is to have a midfield trio of Aquilani - Monto - Nocerino - De Rossi - Boateng - Merkel (and 1 WC midfielder like Schweinsteiger) with a natural trequartista like Ganso (we also have many players who can take that spot like Urby, Merkel, KPB, Monto, Binho). RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - will4li - 11-26-2011 If cassano can't fully recover, tevez replace him.if pato injure himself again this season, tevez replace pato.otherwise, robinho should leave.it doesn't make sense to spend big on a 5th striker. I think if we spend 25 mln on tevez, the management has already desided choises on midfield. we will see who'll be at janurary or next summer. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - xudong - 11-26-2011 Man$hitni in Man$hity has said that he would try to recruit De Rossi regardless of cost. De Rossi may want to stay in Italy, but the money may be an important consideration. And I am sure that Roma (if they can't keep him) will not want him to stay in Italy if possible. We will have a hill to climb, but it will be a dream move. |
