In my opinion no reason exists to be optimistic, but that doesn't mean we will sell our best players every summer.
As of right now if management need the money the order of selling should be:
Theo
Maignan
Tomori
Leao

Leao has go drive off the ball. No fight whatsoever to help the team defend. Look at PSG. Everyone wrote them off because Mbappe left but they’re more of a team now. He would also fetch us the highest return. Theo is just immature and has dropped off so much. Unless Maldini comes back, he won’t get better.

I know our policy is that if we make money then and only then will we invest. However, I think this season shows that we need to invest in top players while also keeping our best ones. When you’re already at the top, huge investments aren’t needed. Inter for example just need minor tweaks to stay at the top. But if you’re serious about trying to compete, you need to spend to build the team. Then you can worry about making the money afterwards.
We don’t have TV deals worth as much as the PL ones. Our money will come from how well we do in the competitions. If we continue like this, we make nothing and will disappear into thin air

Thing is, they (board) are not interested being on top, just making profits. Is this profit going to be huge or small, it is not relevant. At least not to the extent where they would invest now in order to obtain more profits later. Regular CL or trophies are welcomed, but not necessary. Milan is the new Roma.

Marca report Theo Hernandez offered himself to Real Madrid and was rejected as they are targetting younger talents like Benfica’s Alvaro Carreras.
No serious club is interested in a washed up LB who last performed years ago.

Theo offering himself to other teams, Maignan sick of waiting for contract renewal, Man City going to put on offer for Tijiani and now Pulisic isn’t happy with the club direction. Not a good look, especially from a recruitment standpoint. But only the coach is to blame right?

I can completely understand when players want to leave this mess of a team. Its a chaotic and very badly run club, and its going downhill fast. Why would players like Reijnders, Pulisic and Theo want to stay? They are not born Milanistas and there is nothing to keep them here. They have to play for their own careers

A footballer's career is relatively short, none of the mentioned players should waste more time here.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore’s financial sports reporter Carlo Festa, noise out of London suggests that Cardinale is at least thinking about a sale, either a minority or a majority one. The problem, however, is that he doesn’t want to lose money on his investment.
Let’s hope this is true!
