RE: Summer mercato 2024 - k7r - 08-19-2024

Chiesa going to Inter would be disastrous, a double impact for us in my opinion. Milan management should know that this can be potentially mean Milan can say goodbye to their title ambitions (if there were any).

The only way of preventing him to go to Inter is either we get him - Chiesa has to lower his wages, we send Kalulu/Saele/Thiaw whoemever to Juve.
- OR -
Roma get him instead (with Dybala almost gone)

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Beppe - 08-19-2024

We wont go for Chiesa, he’s Italian.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Sleeping Giant - 08-19-2024

Give him 6M/yr, thats only way to get him. Chiesa suits us more than Inter, He would either be Wing back in Inter or competing with 2 superior players for CF position. He would be fool if he chooses Inter over Milan.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - nefremo - 08-19-2024

Chiesa actually makes sense now. Especially for the squad list registration.

I didnt know this was also the case in Serie A and thought it only applies to CL, but apparently it's applicable for both (although with slight differences). We can only register 25 players older than 22 years old (born after Jan 1, 2002) with Serie A. From those, only 17 can be foreign (not trained in Italy for 3 seasons before the turned 22). The rest (over 22 yo) need to be Italian. Then we can register however many we want (foreign or italian) that are under 22 yo.

The list of foreigners over 22 yo sits at 19:
Maignan
Emerson
Kalulu
Thiaw
Tomori
Pavlovic
Theo
Bennacer
Adli
Reijnders
Fofana
RLC
Pulisic
Saelemaekers
Chukwueze
Leao
Morata
Jovic
Okafor

So if we want full use of our resources, than we would need 3 from the above list to leave, in order for us to sign 1 foreign player. Currently only Adli and Kalulu seem in discussions to potentially leave. That still doesn't allow us to sign a foreign player.

Thats why it makes sense to sign an Italian. Chiesa in, doesn't have to mean 3 out and we can focus on only selling Adli and Kalulu. We can then (for example, not that we need to) keep Saele and take in Chiesa.

That can mean:
CF: Morata, Okafor, Jovic
LW: Leao, Saele (+Chiesa, Okafor, Pulisic as options)
RW: Chiesa, Chuk (+Saele and Pulisic as options)

This allows is to use Pulisic as an ACM and not lose quality on the wings.

At this point I'd swap Kalulu with Chiesa and not think twice about it. (Since it doesn't look like Juve wants Saele anyway but they really want Kalulu). Then just offload Adli and we are set.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Leoni9900 - 08-19-2024

Inter is in negotiations with Juve. They will get him, reinforce their squad even more and we will continue to be the afterthought in Milan.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Leoni9900 - 08-19-2024

Marco Brescianini scores for Atalanta in his debut along with Retegui. Maybe we need to steal their Sporting Director

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - slifersd1 - 08-19-2024

Kalulu apparently turned down Juve lol. That bum ass club can't even attract a bench player. F them

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Sleeping Giant - 08-19-2024

It is Gasperini magic potion not particularly DS. He turn avg or above avg players look like Top tier players.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Santino - 08-19-2024

Same mercato, some old striker, a double failure looking to turn things around at 25, and a last year contract. And where is the 100% useless player signed for 4-5 milion?
They scout players on transfermakt.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Santino - 08-19-2024

Pierre Kalulu to Juventus, here we go! Deal in place after further talks reported earlier today.

Loan fee will be around €3/4m fixed fee plus €14m buy option clause not mandatory plus €3m add-ons.

10% sell-on clause confirmed in case deal becomes permanent in 2025.

Bad, bad deal....
