Apparently the chinese buyers are prepared to put 150m deposit down.
I find it odd Silvio still wants to keep the majority share, pretty much everyone wants him to sell and are pushing for it. Even at the shareholders meeting yesterday there were calls for Galliani to resign and Silvio to be just "honorary president".
Speaking of the shareholders meeting, is no one discussing it? I was out all day due to work so couldn't comment, but it was very, very fiery based on the news.

Those minority shareholders, they have waited until 2016? Don't recall hearing about them being vocal at all. If B&G remain, if the sale doesn't go through, they will have been so so late to be this critical.

Apparently they only own 0.07% of the shares. They matter for NOTHING, in terms of decisions in the club. HOWEVER, even though they can't really do anything concrete....they have at least raised chaos and have said the same things we have been saying here for years now, but in Galliani's face. All the media reported this and it has surely added pressure on the management. Galliani must have been red in the face like a tomato, and thankfully it didn't end there as the media was running stories all day about this.
I think this is the most pressure Silvio has ever had to do something and to make people happy. There is fire from all sides. I just don't think that he can possibly maintain status quo at this point. He either has to sell and give in, or fix the club himself (even if he tries he won't be able to do it with the way it is set up to operate right now so deep changes in management will be needed which he is clearly not willing to make). He will completely ruin his reputation if he doesn't sell and go back to not investing any money. I think the fans have completely had it. I think next in line are sponsors and the likes and revenues will keep sinking while the fans base will keep shrinking until we become completely irrelevant in the world of football.
Something will happen. Something HAS to happen. No sane person, no matter how egotistical and narcissistic, will keep this going the same way it has been going for the past few years.
As for the shareholders' meeting and Galliani, his answers were even more frustrating.
On the comparison with Juventus (in terms of how many people work for the club, more than double compared to Juventus; revenues; success; planning; etc)...his simple answer was more or less "every club has a different story so it is impossible to compare". WTF??? We are a football club, they are a football club. We are in Italy, they are in Italy. Same statures among football in the world and you could argue that we are even bigger (or were)....so it's a completely legit comparison...one for which he couldn't use bullshit excuses like "the taxes in Spain allow for this...or the teams in England own their own stadiums, etc"....so he used a bullshit excuse.
On questions about excessive payments to agents (REMEMBER, The agent fees for Rodrigo Ely were said to be 7 MILLION!!!!!!!!)....guess who the agent is!!! Galliani's simple answer was, "agent fees are excessive all over and all teams pay high agent fees". SO NOW, he is willing to compare what we do to other football clubs! But on the Juventus question....no!
He pretty much showed the finger to everyone in that meeting, just like how he has been showing the finger to all of us fans for years now! This man has no shame and whatever little respect I had for him, I just completely lost it all!

Pretty much agree on all nefremo. Your right, the shareholders own so little it's almost pointless, but they list concerns and communicate directly to the management what a lot of us think. The fact it's so public now is also a sign that they are trying to push for change.
Reza, they were also extremely vocal last season, again mostly critical of Galliani's work.

Well the biggest problem in this case is B&G and Fininvest unwillingness to 'play the game', I disagree if we blaming Galliani about high agent fees, every few months there are stories about huge agent fees in EPL, huge fees in South America (both agents and third parties). Sure, we should be happy if those costs don't exist but in the meanwhile this is football nowadays. I know we have often seen Galliani & Raiola deals that make us angry but agent fees is not a Milan only problem.

Reza, we are talking about a player whose value is AT MOST 1 mil! We paid 7 times that to his agent. It's not like we had to pursue his agent, fight other teams for his signature and wanted Raiola's help so than we agreed to this ridiculous fee!! I'm not sure how you don't find anything wrong and fishy with this...
These are the problems Barbara brought up a couple years ago, and Raiola was on top of her hit list. But than her daddy and Mr. Galliani shut her up very quickly...and kept making deals with him! I wonder why....

Agent fees is not an isolated problem for us, but our agent fees still look abnormal. Sure, EPL teams pay a lot of money to agents as well but those teams spend big on high level players too. For example, if you spend 30M on a player and paid 3M in agent fees is not the same as spending 10M on a player and paying 5M on agent fees. I read somewhere that we paid 8M in administrative and agent fees for Ely. Why is that? He cost nothing from a transfer fee perspective but we had to pay 8M to Raiola to sign him? That's the kind of stuff that makes no sense to me. And those are the kind of transactions that Galli needs to explain.
I also find our financial results interesting. We reported that we lost almost 90M last year, but that was after we spent over 90M in transfers. Does that mean we would have broken even if we didn't spend on transfers like we did the previous years? If so, then how come we lost 90M two years ago as well when we didn't spend anything on transfer? Something doesn't seem to jive there.

We would've still recorded a loss. Not as significant as 90mil, but I'm sure a very high figure nonetheless. We didn't spend 90mil last summer....we made the promise to spend 90 mil, and those 90mil will eventually show up on the income statements....but not all at once. All, or nearly all transfers are made in installments. So if we for example are paying Sevilla in 4 years, we'll pay them 7.5mil every year. So basically, we recorded 30mil of assets, but 22.5 mil of those went into a liabilities account (that wont show on last year's income statement) and only 7.5 mil was an expense that affected last year's budget and the figure that would go on last year's income statement.
At least, that's how it should be done. I'm not sure what the guidelines for football clubs are, but it will be more or less along the lines of this.

Even by those standards, 7 mil Euro to Raiola for RODRIGO ELY is ridiculous. We didn't even pay anything for Ely.....or maybe we paid 500,000. Usually, agents will make a percentage on the transfer fee. Sometimes that percentage is ridiculously high.....but again, this is borderline illegal. A private deal of some sorts on the accounts of Milan! We are a company that records 90mil in losses, yet dish out 7mil in agent fees for Rodrigo Ely!
Barcelona paid crazy money in all sorts of questionable fees to get Neymar. BUT, they got Neymar......a top player in the world that would've otherwise probably gone to their biggest rival Real Madrid. So sure, it's crazy and unethical and I don't know what.....but no fan really objected because it bettered their club.
We on the other hand complain that we don't have money to sign quality players so we sign them for free.....we don't have money to hand out hefty contracts so have to release Ibrahimovic (example).......YET, we have no problem dishing out 7mil to Raiola for absolutely NOTHING!
