RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - slifersd - 01-16-2015 Considering their performances this season, the injuries to DES and Zapata is probably a blessing in disguise than anything else. Now Inzaghi has no choice but to not play those two ticking time bombs in the back. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - honsano - 01-16-2015 (01-15-2015, 03:01 PM)ACMILAN1983 Wrote: The rumours of Inzaghi shifting to 4-2-3-1 have started again, though this time to accomodate Pazzini, with Menez behind with SES/Bonaventura and Cerci/Honda on the wings. Previously it was because of the lack of midfielders. Interesting proposed set up. It was about time as the 4-3-3 never fit this team. I imagine such a shift would fit Honda who can fill in for Bonaventura. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - nefremo - 01-16-2015 On paper that's the perfect formation. It puts our best players on the field at the same time. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Jay Crisp - 01-16-2015 (01-16-2015, 05:31 AM)nefremo Wrote: On paper that's the perfect formation. Good on paper mediocre on grass ![]() We are once again linked to Munoz of Palermo good CB he's free in June (surprise) Zamparini will start moaning now saying he's €80 billion. With Bonaventura, generally based on performances he likes come deep to pick up the ball when behind the forward, while Honda has usually performed at his best in his career when he's allowed to play higher up the field. With Cerci and SES, both of which also like to play high, it might be difficult to get the right balance when working the ball from the back. On 4-3-3, the club only arguably has 2 (De Jong and Montolivo) out of the 3 midfielders it needs for a 3 man midfield. Even then, the two players are potentially at their best with another player alongside them. The other midfielders in the squad either don't have the correct qualities or haven't shown anything to suggest they can or should be trusted. Excellent post. Why our MGT doesnt see this , on 2nd thought they probably do.As long as its all free players this is unlikely to change as its whos free rather than who fits. The loan with option is becoming a pain also , not because its a flawed or bad way but because clubs are reluctant to go this route with Milan , because theyll likely not take up the optiom or offer 20% of the original agreed price. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - ACMILAN1983 - 01-16-2015 Thanks Jay
