Re: De Paul, that's why I much prefer Papu Gomez. He'll still be good for another 2-3 seasons, and if we rotate him a lot, a bit longer than that. I'm also interested to see if Pellegrini of Roma, if his contract can be extended before Jan ... Another interesting player that can play in CAM at times.
I think Leao out left and Scamacca in the middle would work well but then what happens with Hauge and Rebic.

Luis Alberto would be an amazing signing!
Don't remember seeing him play or maybe I didn't notice which would mean he was neither bad nor good.
sure. They can have Theo... just give us 80m. He's currently the best young LB and probably the best LB in Italy so slap a huge figure on him and if someone pays up then fine. if they don't, even better.

It's incredibly difficult these days to hang onto your star players. I'm sure a full season of Theo at his best would have Madrid coming back knocking & teams like PSG. They'd probably offer 8m+ euros per season. We'd better ensure we have a healthy wage budget not only for signing new players but keeping our critical pieces.

Theo just said he won't return to Real.
PSG or City? Maybe.
But for all the billions those teams have spent, what have they achieved outside of they're country?
If we can finish top 4 this season, I think Theo, Donnarumma , Kessie and Bennacer will want to stay.
I think we will rework the wages of those 4 though. That I agree with.

I would bench Leao for either Rebic or Hauge. Leao has potential but his mentality is way off. I almost wish we could loan him but we don't have that luxury right now.
Ideally, Leao+cash for Haaland.
