That actually can be true in Galliani's mind. I bet that's how he sees himself. :d
While I appreciate his passion and love of our color, when he got rid of Leonardo and alienated Maldini, I don't think all fans would still agree that whatever is good for Galliani is also in the best interest of our team.

Getting a Jose Mauri has less to do with his contribution to first team, but much more to do with getting an asset for cheap (free). Look around, most of the big teams around the world nowadays sign young players even without a clear need for them. These young players gets farmed out and either gets bought out by another team for profit; develop well enough to become a major contributor for the first team; or used as trade in for bigger deals. Chelsea is an expert at doing this with guys like Van Ginkel. This stable of young players allows Chelsea to become financially independent for at least a period of time even without owners pump in money. I am not saying we should go out and spend 50M on under 20 players just for the hell of it. But when a good young player with big time potential becomes available for almost free, i do not understand why we are sitting on our hands and pretending we don't need him. It's just good business, which, of course, is too much to ask for these days from Milan, I guess.
As far as Galliani and Doyen is concerned, I have always been of the opinion that centralized power structure only leads to eventual failures. A leader, no matter how brilliant, cannot run an operation this big without overlooking something. Specifically to Galliani, even his biggest fans must admit that this guy has been playing loosey goosey with his job for a number of years now. From his public comments, botched transfers, lack of planning and failure to adapt to the new business environment. For some reason, Berlu absolutely refuses to get rid of him, which is fine. But to say the least, we needed to have other people in the hierarchy to relief some of Galliani's duties. That is why I am in favor of having Nelio Lucas or whoever step in and help out. I don't know much about Doyen, but these guys are successful in the soccer business for a reason, and I wanted some fresh voices and ideas to usher our team into the new era.
Predictably, Galliani reacted to this badly and now drove these guys out just so he can run his team exactly the way he has done in the last 30 years. This team has resisted evolution and changes like a plague, and now the good old ways get to continue.

For the money of kodongbia and jackson martinez... i'm happy the deal didn't go through. Remember Napoli signed Higuain for the same money we were trying to sign jackson... whom is older at the time of the transfer and imo is a less prolific goalscorer. Same goes for kodongbia. Witsel is a fan of Milan and wanted to go to Milan 4 years ago when he was bound for Zenit st petersburg. Milan just didn't bother to sign him. For the money offered to monaco we could have gotten Kevin de Bruyne, undeniably one of the most promising creative midfielders of this day. Another option we can sign for that amount of money by the way, is Angel de Maria. His wages will be higher, but again, I rate him higher than either of these two. Julian Draxler... same thing. Romelu Lukaku would perfectly fit Italian Football, he'd cost 40m and less in wages than jackson and he's regarded as the next drogba at the age of 20!
There are many more options and while at first I was keen, you have to be realistic. What's the benefit of signing a player who has not yet confirmed his status and another player who will be past his prime in 2 years? We need to sign players at a max age of 26, maybe 27 depending on the position. Players with which we can move on. All respect to Ibra, he'll make us champions but he's gone in two years due to retirement and we're left with a 20 million euro hole due to transfer fees, bonusses and wages for him.

My fear is that players just wont sign for Milan.I mean guys DeBruyne Verratti Hummels Cavani Witsel WILL NOT SIGN FOR MILAN ..IMHO.
The damage has been done , the club is a joke and playesr are not that interested (top players , Baselli's no problem) agents will not advise joining Milan.
As I said if a playwer is free cheap old troublesome not wanted by his club or mediocre and cheap Milan can get it done.
If a player is good with high potential or at his peak and in deman , no way will they join Milan.

That must be one of the most incorrect statements made on this forum. He was top at both benfica AND zenit. He's the type of player that can be a real anchor while still distributing the ball.

From what I saw he did well , for the type of player he is he played well.I saw a fair bit of Zenit the last 2 seasons as the Russian legue is on TV here.
Why do you say he failed what about his play was a failure to you ?

Apparently Sinisa wants Bertolacci for trequartista. He's a very good player, but I don't think he's a definite starter or of the quality to significantly raise the quality of this team. I see him of a similar level to Bonaventura, though I don't think that's a bad thing, as I think Bonaventura earnt a chance to be a regular this coming season following last year's performances.
Anyway, players like these can be excellent if surrounded by quality. I would expect the other names I mentioned, the likes of Cavani, Xhaka, Allan and quality defenders to raise the level of the team, these guys compliment them to give strength in depth.
On Galliani intentionally getting rid of Doyen (well, looks like they'll just take a backseat advisory role now), I don't really think that's the case. More concerning is Galliani given freedom to decide who to buy and how. Not to say I ever wanted Doyen, but I don't want it all to be Galliani.
On the Kondogbia deal, there's something really concerning about it. I'm reading that Milan offered 40m and 4m salary. Apparently, Inter offered 30m plus potentially 8m bonuses and 3.8m salary with bonuses. That means to an extent, Milan offered more money and yet the player chose Inter. If true, also considering what's going on with Martinez, something is seriously wrong with the way Milan is selling it's project to sought after players.
Edit: On Witsel I do have my doubts. Not to say he's not a good player, but honestly I've never really fully understood the hype around him. From what I've seen, which admittedly is kind of limited, he seems a good player, but without any particular qualities to make him outstanding, which is what I expect when looking at the money required to buy him.

Bertolacci is not a trequartista
he a jack of all trades a master of none.He's like Jack a good reliable hand that will work hard.If he's been signied as a major component of out starting 11 then we'll be in for a rough ride EL at best.
