Niang is an overrated player IMO, 5m is a bit low but I'd put an 8m ceiling as to what he's worth anyways.
Off topic, but I also don't think Luiz/Silva are a dream partnership. Given the lack of top defenders, there aren't really any teams with two world class CB's side by side, but my dream partnership would hands down be Silva&Ramos. Luiz reminds me of an upgraded Mexes for some reason, but he's a solid CB nonetheless, PSG paid too much though if its 40-50mln pounds..

Man Utd linked with a move for Zapata ,with Vidic Ferdinand gone Hummels apparently saying no and Luiz going to P$G united are short on CB options.He wouldnt be a starter as the story says...but shit if Luiz goes for €50m and Luke Shaw for €40m...then surely we could squeez €8-€10 out of them.
Real talk tho..if Luiz is a €50m CB then Zapata is a €35m CB.

I don't really understand the desire to sell Zapata or Seedorf essentially casting him out. I don't think he's a great defender by any means, but certainly not a bad defender, one who probably wouldn't work as a starter, but as a backup offers a decent alternative.
As for Niang, I think 5m is a fair price for him personally. He's proven himself very immature since he came into some fame and hasn't grown at all in 2 years. He's got talent and potential to be great (given his age), but at this point there's very little to warrant us selling him for much more imo. I think like so many others, his signing is just another symbol of failure in our scouting and judgement.

Zapata's the kind of player you add when you've got the likes of Nesta T.Silva Rami at CB.So if Utd are going to a couple of quality CB's I see why they want him.
What I dont understand is selling him (just a rumour ptob wont happen) or cutting him before Bonera Zaccardo Mexes Vergara or Salamon.Unless it is a €10m or close offer.
Niang Id loan out for a year if he doesnt grow or mature then sell him.

I think the possible sale is based on us wanting to just get rid of players and being desperate to do so. As much as we would like to think people are beating the doors at casa Milan to buy Robinho or Constant they aren't. It reminds me of when we were all talking about why the club would hold onto KPB when he wasn't contributing much but we knew he had decent value. Then one of the Milan management guys tweeted that he would love to sell him but there were no buyers at that time. We did get rid of KPB eventually but it took time.
We tend to overestimate the ease at which you can sell a player. We can attach whatever number we want but if no one is offering then they stay. It's the Balos, ELS and DCS that people want to buy not all the marginal players we have accumulated over the years.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you cut a player then you have to pay their salary to the end of their contract right? There is no benefit in cutting someone unless they are setting the house on fire. Otherwise they sit on the bench and wait for the next injury crisis.

I was watching Brazil-Columbia at the Toulon Tournament and watched Doria closely. Whilst obviously still quite raw (he's only 19), he looked like a phenomenal talent. Strong physically and big, but also pretty quick and very comfortable on the ball. His positioning impressed me and he looks like a guy who offers a lot of security at the back. I believe his CB partner was Marquinhos of PSG, who is one of the most highly rated CBs in football, but Doria actually stood out more to me in this match.
Obviously take this with a pinch of salt, as we're talking about 1 match in a youth competition. However, I've got to say if there's any hope of signing this guy, I'm certainly not against the move.

Doria is good ,but atm he dives into tackles way too much.He relies on his athleticism a lot too which isnt a bad thing but he needs to learn to use his head too.Positioning & timing is way off and while he gets away with it in Brasil and youth international level I think he'd be exposed in Europe.But if we could get him (which honestly we cant) learning from an Alex would be good.
