i wont let myself into discussions of who's eventually better, but, silva knows the environment, has played alongside Nesta. in my head he is the better option

They each have their strengths and weaknesses but at the end of the day they're probably close to on par at this stage. Silva USED to be significantly better.
That being said, Silva has the sentimental value plus the fact, as you've said, he knows the environment.
Would be amazing to see him and Ibra together at Milan again

Some rumors speculate that Donnarumma will not renew; Raiola will also refuse a sale. Those speculations are really depressing to read, even though I can't be sure of the credibility.
I like Donnarumma and think of him as an important piece to rebuild our future, but his attitude (never truly coming out to declare his allegiance to the team) annoys the hell out of me.

If they do not want to renew and refuse the sale then they then drop the guy for the remainder of his contract. have him training with the juniors and playing no games.

Allan would be a good pickup but I wonder if it would happen. I mean the falling out is only relevant if Gattuso stays on as coach.

Competition for him is immense Inter, Everton both lurking in the shadow for Allan. But I don't think Napoli will sell him anything less than 50M

Has anyone watched Silva regularly whenever I've seen him this season a few times in Ligue 1 and mostly UCL he's looked a shadow of what he was the same last season.He'll be 36 by the time the season starts and unlike Ibra he did rely on his fitness and physical ability and it has dropped off as expected with a player his age.Even if he halved his wage it's still massive he also picks up a fair few niggling injuries and the older he gets the more frequent they are bar nostalgia and having him in the dressing room I dont see it as a very good move.Maybe for 1 year on 4m a year it could be beneficial.

Instead we can go for 21 year old Defender Malang Sarr whose contract is ending in June. He is very highly rated guy.
