RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - reza - 08-12-2025 (08-12-2025, 06:56 PM)nefremo Wrote: 2) Goal Scorer(s) Leao as a CF risks being an Allegri mistake. Especially since actual Serie A games are not the time to find out if it is a mistake or not. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - xudong - 08-12-2025 Tomori and De Winter both can play RCB and RLB. Adding Saelemaekers and Jimenez, though we don't have a pure right fullback (not counting the new guy), I feel that the position should be covered. We may have some options from the Futuro/Primevera too, such as Dutu and Magni (is he going somewhere?). As for CF, I don't know how I feel about Hojlund and Vlahovic rumors, so I will trust Tare with any decision he will make. However, I also read that Cutrone is no longer in Como's plan and they are trying to offload him. Maybe we can just get him back and don #9? If he doesn't work out, we can always blame it on the #9 curse. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Aficio - 08-13-2025 Ibra's wife once asked: Who is the bald man sitting on our sofa? He's stayed there for a week. Ibra: Galliani, from Milan W: What can we do about it? I: Ay, ok, sign with Milan... There are some different versions, but Galliani surely did all he could to get Ibra. Now Tare must do the same for Hojlund, especially when his family support the move to Milan, where only 30km from Atalanta. Tare has met Modric personally in Croatia, so he knows how. The one week period let us know that he has estimated the trouble. We need a CF as the reference point of attack, something Hojlund can do with his size and speed. MU fans say that Hojlund is not strong enough, often beaten by EPL defenders, his runs are not good enough, his heading is nonexistent,... But he is the best we can get given current status and policy of the club. There are still a lot of queation marks. Agree with all the above. Only thing I might add that points to the fact that we're seemingly not rushing into signing proper RB is that in a 3 back formation perhaps Jimenez / Alexis fits the bill in general because they'll be allowed more attacking freedom almost as hybrid RM/RB or simply attacking right backs with of course defensive duties. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Aficio - 08-13-2025 Require 40m for Musah seems absurd for most of us, but there are less than a week to the first official match of the new season for most teams in the big leagues, so the needs become higher. Nottingham Forest's next match is on 17th August. Nottingham Forest also follow James McAtee of Man City, whose price tag is about 40m. Same age, but the experience is totally different, the Englishman only played about 100 professional matches (43 for Sheffield United in 2nd league) compare with 200 of Musah (47 matches for USA not counted). And after sending Bondo on loan, we only have 6 professional midfielders: Modric, Ricci, Jashari, RLC, Fofana, and Musah. Modric's age and RLC's injury likeliness are concerns. So we don't need to sell Musah. Let's see if Tare's negotiation trick works. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - xudong - 08-13-2025 Musah has his own unique attributes that set him apart from his colleagues, which means that he would either succeed spectacularly or fail miserably. I am just surprised that (iirc) Tare said during his first interview with Milan that Musah isn't what Milan need and he is so far still with us--maybe Allegri played a role in that. I also don't think the rumored amount isn't that far-fetched. First, it is PL. They are just stupidly rich. Second, it is so late into the summer, so there ought to be an 'inconvenience' add-on fee as most teams would need to scramble to find a replacement and most likely get charged higher price too--though, IMO, we don't have to replace Musah. I honestly believe that with the remaining 5 and the several players from attacking and defending departments that can makeshift, we will be covered. Third, it is Musah. I still believe that he has a high ceiling so in some way I am really indifferent if he is staying or leaving (but it has to be for good money). He is so young and yet already a veteran. Also, wasn't he the captain of English U-21 team too? That ought to say something about his quality and promise, and should certainly play in our favor facing English buyers. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Arildonardo - 08-13-2025 Done deal. Leoni to Liverpool for €35m. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Arildonardo - 08-13-2025 Athekame medical on August 14. If we could haven sold Chuk and Musah in time, I think Tare might have made a run at him. We are instead linked with Okoli, Flamingo and Djimisti. |
