Anyone?

I wouldnt mind him, he would be surplus and he would not be always fit, but when available he is class. Still had good stats. He could be an extra weapon in a scudetto push. He is much better than chuck or saelemaekers.

He would have to be on excellent terms. He can’t be relied on as he is injury prone. However, I can’t think of a better player for Liberali to learn from than a similarly sized Dybala. I know it won’t happen, but he would be one to hone the future.Honestly I’m very concerned about Pulisic in the middle. I think he will be physically nullified and injured.

We better get excellent terms on this Kalulu deal as I’m not sure why we would strengthen Juve without financial consequences. Maybe we want to thank them for Higuain?

I also dont see the positives in the Kalulu deal, we loose a good player and we strengthen our opponent without getting the money for it. This buy option is very weird, whats in it for us in this deal!? I dont get it.

And do we need to buy a replacement? We have 4 central defenders now , but recent seasons have proven player choice can get very thin with many injuries. Theo can also play there but we dont have a replacement at left fullback.

We also have bartesaghi and Minotti, buy are they ready!?

Hummels and Hermoso are still on the market for free…

I think our option for a CB is to get a younger player to replace Kalulu. Hummels or Hermoso would want top minutes but we really only need someone who will be ok with playing every 3-4 games or to cover an injury to the top 4. Kind of like how Gabbia was. And for the love of God let’s bring back Tonali

Yeah so someone like Kalulu Big Grin

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - honsano - 08-14-2024

This Fofana deal is getting ridiculous. A few weeks ago we should have provided the best and final offer. We need another body for the double pivot and they need to get used to Fonseca's system.

I'm getting worried this is going to turn out like CDK. A whole summer of waiting and speculation. When we finally get him, he crumbles under the pressure.

I've been very critical of how Milan handles negotiations, but on reflection and some revelations, it's hard to criticize the club on this occasion. Here's a player on his last year of contract and who has made it clear he wants to join us. So it would be unwise to throw money at Monaco. The initial offer of around €15m is quite adequate considering those situations.

Okay, now things have changed, and it's confirmed we've upped our offer to fixed €20m plus add-ons. Still Monaco is refusing, asking for €25m fixed plus further add-ons. That's really unreasonable.

At this point, I ain't blaming us if we decide to walk away.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - slifersd1 - 08-14-2024

I think it is important to understand what our priority is during a negotiation, are we trying to win the deal or get the player? This front office, and a lot of American sports league teams, seem to place a greater deal of emphasis on "winning the deal". The negotiation can only conclude on their terms and make them feel smart. Problem is, that also meant they often times lose the players they need, because not every negotiation is going to end favorably. For a crucial transfer like this, I rather see us putting up the extra few million to ensure they get the right guy instead of "winning the deal". Zero reason to f around and risk ending up with our second or third option who doesn't fit as well.

RE: Summer mercato 2024 - reza - 08-14-2024

If Monaco are crazy to ask for money that shouldn't be paid (final year or whatever) it doesn't mean we can wait until they lower demands. Fofana is not Messi nor is he proven actually, but even if so our concern should not be Monaco this or that, our concern is to start season with best possible team. This is closer to when Cairo was asking 100 for Belotti than other cases like CDK Big Grin

Three days to season and 18 days to deadline. Morata for Giroud, Pavlovic for Kjaer, Royal for possibly Kalulu is hardly much.

Why do you say that? I think CF, CB, RB and CM/DM is exactly what we needed before the window opened.

So in terms of actual "need", we are getting exactly what's needed. In terms of quality? Time will tell.

As far as timing goes, as long as we get exactly what we need, I don't care if we go to 8/31. It's not ideal, sure. But it's the way the market works....especially for a club like ours that operates under a strict budget.

Don't forget youngsters Origi and FBT who are training with Futuro/gone AWOL and will be like new signings... Grinser044
