I must admit, I think David Luiz is still far from convincing me at this point. Since joining Chelsea I've seen no growth in him, particularly his temperament and tactical discipline. A player who has the ability to become world class and with time on his side, but Villas Boas has to work hard to get it out of him.

I've not seen Dede, but hearing the general comments from Brazil (and Brasileiro in particular), this guy seems a very interesting prospect.

All that said, the dream CB signing in my view at this point is Mats Hummels.
Alex has anyone but him to blame for his career does not reach the point that his talent deserved. Capelo(Pelegrinno later) wanted him at Real Madrid, Carlo at Milan and even Juve and Bayern now, but he chose to stay at Stanford Bridge where he was never rated that high.

David is having the same problem as Alex in the past at Chelsea, Continuity. And with Villas Boas things appear to be the same. Not saying it for you, but David is clearly the scapegoat of Chelsea defense. Luiz mistakes reverberated more than the ones of Terry and Ivanovic. But thast my opinion...

Can you tell me about Mats Hummels? Why you rate him high? Never had a chance to watch him... Btw, how do you rate that Spurs CB and captain(can´t remember his name now)? Saw 2 o or 3 impressive games by him... Thanks!

Hahaha

I dont think it is fair to state Luiz has not improve much at Chelsea. I think it has more to do with the surrounding. I still think Luiz will be huge. As for Alex, he should have force his way out of Chelsea after his spell at PSV.
Agree...

Luiz style is what make him amazing and will hurt him sometimes. But it will improve with the time...

Regarding Alex, as I said in a post above, I agree too. He has anything but him to blame. He´s a very professional, but sometimes you need to put you first.

Do it, my friend.

I just hope Dede does not make me a liar! Lol

Dede is being called a lot since September, will. Just these last calls he wasn´t because he´s playing in Brazil.

But Mano, as always, is late to his duties. Dede had to have been called for Copa America, to gain experience, but Mano chose bad as always.

Galliani: "I'm not sure if we will sign anyone, but, if we do, it will be on loan"

This guy is such a liar, I suggest all of you to not read his quotes anymore. He will buy or not buy whomever he wishes and you won't know until the day it happens, so it's clearly a waste to discuss it. We have 4-5 Strikers, and sh&tty midfielders, yet we're looking at more strikers. This Management really has no idea what they're doing.

Lastly, it seems as though the Management wants to get rid of Taye Taiwo, and it's not even December. Perhaps they didn't watch his games in France enough. How is it possible to be COMPLETELY SURPRISED by a player's quality, and want to sell him just when you signed him?? I did not watch him since the 2010 World Cup, in which I thought he was an average LB. Certainly better offensively than all other LB's we have, but weaker defensively. Can't they help him with that as they did with Abate? If not, they should stop fishing for cheap crap, and buy some quality, and for god sakes, do you homework.

Probably no one will read this because this site's been dead for quite a while now, but interested to hear some thoughts.

Aside from him being a liar, I wouldn't be surprised if the press is twisting his words horribly. Smile

RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Mystik - 11-15-2011

I tend not to believe anything the management says till I see the player in our colours..and the announcement on the website. But then again given the Suazo fiasco, even that isn't good enough anymore.

EDIT: If anyone is interested, Germany is playing a friendly vs The Netherlands now. Both Hummels and Gotze are currently on the bench but I hope they get decent substitute appreances. I anticipate that at least Gotze should get some decent minutes today. I'm at work now but I'll probably download this game and the Italy-Uruguay game later tonight.

Things could be worse. There are many cases of selling someone after half a season.

Juventus signed Ziegler for free at the end of last season and sold him before this season started.

I didn't even know that they could do that. Big Grin Okmilan

What do you mean? Everything's perfectly normal here.

RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Gabriel426 - 11-16-2011

Didn't Milan signed Zeoni and then shipped him out 2 weeks later in a package to get Pippo?

that's right. that did happen, but I somehow thought it was different. Ziegler lasted a few months at Juventus, so he must have signed a contract when he joined Juventus. As for Zenoni, I thought he was never in our plan anyway, and from the very beginning, we bought him just to trade him out for someone else (Pippo). I wonder if he was ever given a milan contract?

I am curious as I remember there is some rule against a player transferring twice in a season.
