RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Mathias - 06-20-2015 For the money that internationale offered kodongbia... Wec van get witsel who is a lot beter and a lot more creative/versatile. Yeah, and I think it has a lot to do with the chaos we've seen at the club these last two years. Inter, sadly, appear to be a more stable club at the moment than we are, even if they are not playing in Europe. I honestly don't blame anyone for picking them over us, considering how we've destroyed our own image. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - nefremo - 06-21-2015 devoted_dm, Inter is not a more stable club then us nor does it appear that they are. Money talked, and they payed over the top for Kondogbia. This player was not worth 40mil. No way people! This is a box-to-box mid with emphasis on the defensive side, almost close to a ball winner. 40mil is insane. Inter outbid us and that's all. Honestly, whether Galliani meant it or not, he fuked Inter over. They are done with spending big this market. They will have to probably sell Kovacic to fund this move and honestly, it doesn't make them better. This guy is not worth 40mil. From what I've seen. Not when Isco was bought for 30mil, Alcantara for 25 (clause or not), Gotze for 37 (clause), etc. This is overpricing at the max and its idiotic. About Jackson, if we really have made an agreement with the club and the player (which is what all reports point to), then it's only right that we do medicals. Would any of you spend 35mil Euro without doing it? And it Jackson doesn't want to wait for it and is changing his mind the Fuk him. The fact of the matter is that we clearly have money to spend and we will get players. To be completely honest, I'd rather get Ibra and Jovetic than Ibra and Jackson. I'd rather get Witsel and Beetolacci then Kondogbia. (Just an example of what that money could buy, not saying that we'll buy those players) I'd rather spend 20mil + 8mil salary on Gundogan then 40mil + 4.5mil salary for Kondogbia. All I'm saying is......this deal was idiotic. Let them have him. I think I just felt disheartened for a moment when I read that Martinez is more or less set to join Atletico. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - devoted_dm - 06-21-2015 And yeah, 40 million is insane for a player who is 22 and relatively unproven. This could be a massive waste of money for Inter, in which case I will definitely gloat
RE: Summer mercato 2015 - slifersd - 06-21-2015 The Kondogbia and Jackson deals were not reasonable costs, I think very few people in the world would disagree with that. But we as a team also need to learn our lessons from the breakdown of these deals instead of sitting on our ass and pretending we were too smart for it. The fact of matter is, in order to sign any top tier world class players, we HAVE to overpay. The reality is that we are a team in steep decline, have a weak foundation (no good prospects, no good first team, etc.) have no CL football to offer and play in a league/country that is also in steep decline. A star player who has any decent suitors is NOT going to want to play for us. I know we don't want to hear it, but it's the reality of the situation. The only way we can sway a big time player to play for us is by overpaying. PSG, Man City, and Chelsea all went through this. When they first tried to become a big time player, they overpaid for the players they got. If we are still serious about this whole rebuilding crap and we don't want to start scratch with youngsters, then we have to overpay for those star players. If Chelsea can get Kondogbia for 3.5M a year, we have to at least get to 4.5M to even have a chance. I don't have a problem passing on Kondogbia if the money got to a point where we are not comfortable with any more. There are other DMs in the world to get. But if we are trying to get our number one targets, forget about paying fair value. We are lucky enough if we get them by overpaying. After the cluster f*ck of the two deals, I think we are not at a cross road. We need to first of all decide whether we really want to go with plan A, which was to rebuild by acquire a crap load of front line stars; Or go with Plan B, which is to acquire young and upcoming players to truly rebuild. Inter already went down this road in recent years, and they are now in a much better position than we are because of their young and talented core. Without this direction, we are going to be in cluster f*ck mode for the next two months and end up in just as bad a shape as we were in last year. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Milanista87 - 06-21-2015 Forget about Plan B. Milan can't develop young players anymore. Milan needs to sign world class players. Otherwise, we don't have any chance for top 3 next season. i expected a 6th-11th degree in Serie A last year after we signed Torres. This year it will be harder. My biggest fear is that Galliani can sign rotation players with that money. Milan can't make top 3 with the likes of Baselli, Bertolacci, Maksimovic. im really sad now. i don't have any hope for the future of Milan. i thought Mr Bee could change something at Milan. We also wanted İturbe, D.Costa last year but we never signed them. i don't think that we realy wanted J.Martinez or Kondogbia. Since we waited too much for them, their deals was in stand by. Milan channel declared that we could sign them weeks ago. maybe its another marketing propaganda from Galliani and Berlusconi. Lies, Lies, Lies, Talk, Talk and Talk. All they could do is... RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Eli - 06-21-2015 Galliani: "The Kondogbia deal was done at 13:30 CET. Monaco had agreed to sell him to us for €40m, to be paid in two installments: 20 & 20." Galliani: "The agreement that we made with Kondogbia on Friday evening, was confirmed on Saturday morning by the player and his father." Galliani: "After we exchanged documents at 13:30 CET, they changed their minds or the other party offered them more money." Kondogbia's father to Galliani yesterday morning: "See you on Monday in Milano." Let Inter have him, for that price and that kind of player, i have no regrets. a box to box mid who´s had one good season so far under his belt, i am sure he is good, that´s why we were trying to sign him, but for that kind of money, thanks but no thanks. I much prefer Allan who will be cheaper, proven himself for a few season now and already accustomed to Italy. This mercato is gonna be exciting, for a change on the last few years.
