Dev, I got no stats to support the Basketball closing the gap but it has more to do with general observations. Like Nike and Addidas commercials, or how many different professional leagues around the World.(Pro league means the players in the league are all full time players with wages enough for a solid living.)
Also agree with your definition of success.

Motta is just a typical bone headed Milan mercato move.He's 32 his wage would likely be €2.5/€3m he isnt free so would cost a fee.His Value is €6m apparently but could be got for half that.
When you do the math even if its a 1.5 year deal it will cost over €10m.That money would be way better spent on a younger mid like Brozovic or Baselli or Soriana Obiang.That €10m or more would pay their fee and wage in the same period.It happened last year where Essien who cost nothing cost more in wages than what Roma so far paid for Naingollan , and what Napoli got Jorginho for.This club is blinded by names.
Im seing fans elswhere defending a move saying teams need older players for exoerience.Well Abiatti Zaccardo Agazzi Lopez Bonera Rami Alex Mexes Pazzini Monty is enough players with careers full of experience.

Yeah to Leicester for €12.5m such a waste.But TBH we cant afford that.Thats right AC Milan compete with Leicester City financially.The fact is we cant the truth is we wont.

Chelsea wouldnt pay 12.5m as they wanted loan him out and may have thought a Salah issue , Juve wouldnt pay it.Leicester would , he is very good .I was doubtful but he's been great for Croatia and in the EL too.

I bet he has a clause so he can leave when Leicester are relegated at the end of the season. That's when we pounce. Players who don't succeed at their clubs.
