RE: Summer mercato 2015 - nefremo - 06-19-2015

Just watched a re-run of Benifca-Porto from April this season. Jackson played like a true target forward. Very involved. I was paying a lot of attention to Oliver Torres though, and he's been impressive every time he's on the ball. Very technical...passer, dribbler, vision, has it all. I wonder if the rumors of our interest were really true. This is the type of player our midfield lacks. If we can't get the likes of Verratti, Gundogan, Alcantara, etc....I'm sure we can get someone like Torres. It's just a matter of targeting this type of midfielder though and not only defensive, physical types.

Looks like Kondogbia could go to Inter. Not sure it is wise to enter bidding wars, as has been the case here with Inter, too much. I guess if a player is good there will be always be other bids but even with big money Galliani should not over spend time in bidding wars.

EDIT: or Juve!

I start to wonder if we really have the rumored transfer kit. Basically any player we are interested, would turn into a long saga. In the end, fans would be so grateful that we even buy one out of all our "targets". Maybe that's what they want. Facepalm

This Kondogbia deal is becoming very entertaining. It's been a while since we competed with Inter over a player worth 30 million, to put it like that. Regardless of what happens (I think we'll get him), it's good to see both Milanese clubs showing some real ambition on the market again.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - nefremo - 06-19-2015

Reports saying that both Inter and Milan directors are at the same restaurant with Monaco representatives and Kondogbia's representatives. Same reports (SKY) saying that we are offering 35mil + bonuses to Monaco and 4mil + 1mio bonuses to
Kondogbia.

Way too much money if you ask me. Never mind the fact that our midfield lacks a technical player more then anything else. Why are we entering a bidding war with Inter? On top of that significantly outbidding them (they are offerings 28mil to Monaco and 3.6 to the player) yet the deal isn't done yet! The hell with Kondogbia if he is whoring around with both Milan clubs for money. This is a fiasco. You would think we are negotiating for Messi and not a 22 yr old who's had one good season.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - slifersd - 06-19-2015

I want Kondogbia here as much as the next guy, but at the amount of money being thrown around right now, he is way over priced. At 25 or 28M, he'd be a heck of a deal. At 35M, he might not have enough upside to warrant that kind of expenditure, not to mention his salary too.

I say we should stay in this fight till the very end, if nothing else, just to drive the price all the way up for Inter. If Inter gets him, we can spend the same amount to get both Imbula (very similarly rated player) and Pjaca. It's one thing to throw around cash for the top level players, but quite another for the tier 2 guys.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - devoted_dm - 06-19-2015

Now it's starting to look like he'll be joining Inter, if the latest reports are to be believed.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - nefremo - 06-19-2015

Good. He can go to them. It looks like he prefers to play for them anyway and I'm fine with that. This is absolutely crazy money for this guy. I haven't seen him play more then a couple times, but €35mil + 4+mil for the player is absolutely insane for this guy. Like I said a week ago, Real bought Isco for 30mil. I know you gotta pay these days and especially when other big clubs are interested too...but Monaco is definitely killing us with this.

I say let Inter have this guy for 35+mil.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - reza - 06-20-2015

nefremo is right in my opinion. Another example, Reus had a 30 million release clause until he decided to stay at Dortmund.
