I agree. Brozovic is one of those players that will inject quality in our midfield and has the potential to be a very good player, something like Bonaventura worked out to be I guess. I'd say he's worth around 6-8mln euros tops.
As far as Kramaric, I would pay up to 15mln euros for the kid. If hes putting up those numbers, there aren't many young players like him coming around doing that.
However, Muriel isnt a player I'd be disappointed with. He has similar qualities to Pato, when Pato was the golden boy in Seria A I always used to think Muriel was a very similar, but slightly less talented version. They had speed, flare and all, but were both injury prone. Muriel would be a good addition, and if we're not going to let Niang play then I guess we're better off sending him to Udinese where he'll develop better.
Illaramendi and Khedira rumours dont excite me because I dont really believe in them much. Illaramendi on a loan is somewhat believable because hes not really playing at Madrid and his wages arent crazy, plus hes young and will probably like to come for the sake of developing via more playtime in a competitive league. Khedira has very high wages, great player mind you, but it'll be hard to 1)convince him to come to Milan 2) pay his huge wages 3)beat competition from every other top club around the world. Both are very much worth trying for though, so let's see how everything turns out.

When Milan secured third place vs Siena almost 1.5 years ago, i expected a quality CB and CM from MGT which could make Milan a scudetto team. İnstead MGT signed Kaka and Matri. we could have signed both Benatia and Strootman with that money. Now Kaka left, we are paying Matri's half wage. Now that Milan needs a quality CM and a real CF, i assume that MGT would sign anyone except a quality CM and CF. As long as Galliani is in charge at Milan, i dont expect anything from Milan mercato. He always find a way to mismanage the limited budget.
Both Chealse and Bayern wants Khedira, in this case, he wont come. i dont think that his wage will be a problem for Milan. Kaka's, Torres's, Balo's wage was not a problem for Milan. The problem is Khedira wont come to us when he has a chance to play at highest level with Bayern.
Milan has a good team. This Milan side just lacks WC players to reach the higher level in Serie A. When Milan needs a creative CM, Signing Baselli doesnt make any sense. it would be just waste of money.

I agree €10m is a lot for Brozovic now , but he is good and would improve our mid.Unfortunately to sign these players a team must and many will pay €10m.Guys like Brozovic Kampl who moved to Dortmund for €12m , Xhaka Shaqiri when they left Basel will cost a bit more than what they should.
You have to pay that little bit extra to secure them ,thats something Milan just cant do.
Despite shedding Torres and getting Cerci things havent changed ,theres little to no money available.The club will lose a truck load of money this year, there is still a massive wage bill and its hurting.A lot.

At this point, and the way our team looks right now......I would gladly not buy anyone except for a quality (real quality) CM.
If we could not spend 7-8 mil on Brozovic, not spend 7-8 mil on Vangioni (example), and possibly sell a couple players......then why not spend that money on one signing and make it a quality one. No need for mediocre players that might turn out good at this point. Look for those types of players in the youth system. Any signings at this point should increase the quality of the starting 11.
The issue.....we have €0!!!
I watched Inter vs PSG yesterday....and Verratti controlled the whole midfield. What composure on the ball, whether under pressure or not. Didn't put a foot wrong on the ball. He also created the goal with a beautiful over the top ball to Van Der Wiel. Where have the days gone when getting a player like Verratti here was normal. This is nearly impossible now. But not all is lost, because there are players of similar qualities that we can get.....I just hope that we go for them and not other washed up have beens.

Cerci will sign in the next few days.The loan is for 18 months , worrying part is Atletico can sell Cerci if the see fit after the first 6 months.Milan have no buy out set or a first option if Atletico want to sell.
All Milan can do , is match or better any offer if Atletico want to sell.
Niang to Udinese on loan and Muriel possibly coming to Milan is a rumour.I havent seen Muriel much the last tear and a bit , he seems to have not progressed as people thought.He'd be a Menez alternatice I guess.
The Brozovic train has passed Milan by , Zagreb will not budge from the €10m fee they want.Arsenal are exoe red to up the €7m offer the offered last week.

As I often do, I thought it would be worth sharing an article by Jonathan Wilson about the transfer market:

I found it really interesting as it points out a lot of the issues I have with football in modern times, particularly how teams are rarely built with a clear philosophy and even when they are, clubs often lose sight of what brought them success and look to build the brand with big signings. An example imo is Barca, who are no longer identifiable as the side that Guardiola built and with every passing year seem to be less and less focused on building around their own talents, instead buying big newsworthy players.
I thought the idea in the final few paragraphs was very interesting, as it's very closely related to the ideas I've been suggesting Milan need to take for the future. The article says how smaller clubs who adopt this approach might struggle to keep their players, but I would hope that Milan are big enough to be an exception.
