Actually, no. He was ousted from his position during Barbara's rise to power. She wanted to curb the influence from Galliani's camp, and to entice more of the younger generation of our Legends back to work with the club, but we all know how that ended up.
Initially it was suppose to be Galliani who Barbara was pushing to step down from his position, however due to Berlu keeping Fester on board, they had to curb someone to make room for Barbara (don't ask me why they did not just add an extra seat on the BoD, I don't know), Braida was the one to go.
As the one who's networks brought in MvB, Sheva, Kaka and Thiago Silva for us, I'd always been of the opinion that Berlu should have let Barbara properly clean house and threw Galliani under the bus instead. Just look at all the good work he's been doing for Barca these past years and you'll know what we've been missing.
By the way, the last piece of work he did for us was signing on Honda. That's probably one of the main reasons why I still have faith in the lad.
As for the Bee deal. Can ANYONE confirm or deny the rumors regarding how it's going?
Officially he signed a pre-signing contract which set a deadline for investment money to arrive at Fininvest on or before 30 Sept 2015, and should he pull out from the deal, he'd be dealt with a very harsh penalty.
Officially Bee was stated to be coming to Milan to watch the Derby as part of his own birthday celebrations, and no mention was made officially as to whether the money would be coming in at the same time.
I've read what everyone has been saying that the plug has been pulled on the deal and all that, but up to now there's been nothing about it officially, just newspaper rumors and pure speculation and analysis on how Berlu was acting near the end of the Summer Mercato. Does anyone have any reliable sources that indicate whether the deal is still going on, or whether the plug really has been pulled?

I recall reading somewhere, probably Milannews that Braida took the fall for Galliani's incompetence. I wish we'd just give Galliani some sort of a honorary position and get in a proper sporting director.

It's unacceptable that guys like Aubameyang, Darmian and Cristante were let go. My fear is that they will end up making the same mistakes with the class of 98.

It does appear Braida's being let go was the result of the power struggle between Barbara and Galliani. However, I wouldn't necessarily want him to return. He's done great and I do respect the guy, but really the club needs to move forward with fresh ideas. Part of the reason we are where we are is the management has been the same for so long with the same ideas.
On the Bee deal, I've been seeing very mixed stuff, so at this point I'd probably just wait and see. It's unlikely there will be any confirmation either way right now.
Having been thinking about the side lately, a part of me wonders if not pursuing Lucas Lima in the summer was a major miss for the club. Looking at what's lacking right now and from the little I've seen of him, he has qualities which would really help.

I know he was linked when it looked like de Jong might leave, but less so during the summer itself. I really like him as a player, at Verona I really thought he was excellent, but obviously his career's stalled a little at Napoli. Part of that I attribute to Benitez, who in all honesty didn't do well at Napoli in his time there. Under Sarri, Jorginho could forge a place for himself, but right now it's difficult to know where. The most obvious place would be as regista, but it's going to be difficult to take Valdifiori's place, especially as he's one of Sarri's guys.
At Milan, I'm not totally sure how he'd fit into the side either. Again, the obvious choice is him take de Jong's spot, but the biggest challenge is finding the right balance with him in the side. I wouldn't say no to him, I still think if he can get his career back on track, he's got a very bright future, but at this point I'd maybe want to take him on loan with an option in January.
