Im fairly certain Pippo does have a plan , formations he'd like even players he'd love to be able to use.Problem is he wont get them.Like was mentioned MGT are reactive & illogical.We need mids , without wanting Hazard Pogba etc... Pippo could say Brozovic & Baselli are 2 players I want we need please get them.They wont be superstars now but in a couple of years it will be worth €16m or so we'll pay now.
Galliani will listen chat with BerluManiacal and come back to Pippo and say I got you 2 players...Raul Meireles & Adel Taarabt.
The economical side of things always dictates who Milan sign , and in a stupid way.Galliani could see Sneijder available for €4/€5m whatever Gala would want and think my god its Sneijder.Sign him for 3 years at say €3m a year so he will cost around €23m after the 3 years.
This will always happen instead of say Kramaric for €8m on €1m a year and Brozovic around the same.Sure its €28m but my god theyre 21 & 22 not 30+ coming off 4 + horrible seasons.Not saying we'll sign Sneijder or Kramaric or Brozovic , just using examples

Tbh I'm not even sure Brozovic is the answer, he's just the most interesting name we've been linked to. I'd say guys like Bonaventura and Saponara have the right qualities for the midfield, but neither seem capable of taking on a lot of responsibility in the side, nor are we talking about world beaters.
A guy like Baselli might have a future as a replacement for De Jong, but I don't see him as an immediate goal. The problem is the club are apparently looking at him as an alternative to Brozovic. It makes no sense as they're totally different with different qualities.

In truth if they actually wanted to get back on top like they KEEEEEEP saying.They should actually get a plan stick to it , go after Reus balls to the wall (I know it wont happen and if they tried he'd say no anyway) as his clause is €25m this summer.Then get guys with potential & 2/3 other high quality players.But we know they wont ,Gallianis comments about Berlu wanting to get Milan back to the top.Then saying Milan are the most successful club internationally even though thet arent.He even said we were top of Europe in 2007.
They fact is fans are hoping for Brozovic & Baselli and they may lift the into EL qualification, but without actual very good players we wont get 3rd regularly ,and if we do then the UCL last 16 will be very tough.I fully expect that only the top 2 in Serie A will get UCL in a few years as the performances by Italian teams are poor.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. No one even mentions getting to 1st in the worst Serie A ever.

I agree that Bonaventura isn't a world beater, but I really like him as a player tbh. Clean and tidy hard working player, doesn't make many mistakes and knows how to make a pass. He's not the world class player we desperately need in our midfield, but I'd still consider him a relatively important player for our future for the time being. Even if we had a world class midfield, he's be the perfect player to bring off the bench. He's probably the only good purchase we've made in the last few years.
Baselli like you said is very long term, and Brozovic I like from what Ive seen Id like to have him. If Suso is still coming, I wonder if he will play in midfield or on the RW

Schone's agent is suggesting he's ready for a club like Milan. He's not one I'd personally go for though, actually one from Ajax that's caught my eye is Davy Klaassen.

I agree I do like Bonaventura and have always advocated his signing. I do consider him valuable, just not someone I'd say is likely to ever get us competing at the top in Europe again.

Yes, Klaasen would be great. He's also a midfielder who scores a ton and that's something that we haven't had in a while.
Problem is he'll cost money that I don't think we'll pay. He is destined to end up in the premier league for someone like Tottenham because they wouldn't mind paying 10-15 mil for him.

I don't think we need a replacement for Torres, we need an upgrade. A cheap replacement will help us as much as Torres does. Absolutely nothing.
If he can't be upgraded, then don't bother I'd say.

I agree.We have Menez and SES who well is going through a very long rough patch , my hope is he'll come good , but I'm not sure he will confidence and fear are a big problem for him.
Pazzo Niang cant rely be relied on due to Pazzos age coming off a knee operation and Niang just being very young.We definitely wont be signing good players anytime soon.I see a Bonaventura type signing once a year in the summer as the best we can hope for.Now Jack has been good and solid , but it would be nice to get a player a few levels up.But those cost money.
