Well no, actually it isn't. Pricetag varies. If you're talking about the asking price, then it's a completely different story.
Being just a candidate isn't good enough, at leas for a player like Maldini, who has played in the highest levels of football for quite a long time. In the years Maldini has been playing, Ihor Bjelanov (pardon my ignorance here, born in 1990 so no idea who the guy is and how good he was) Matthias Sammer and Fabio Cannavaro won the Ballon D'Or. Paolo came only 3dr twice, in 1994 and 2003.
Modric is already an established player, and while Gotze is very good and promising, Modric will fit our system perfectly, he reminds me a bit of a younger Seedorf. Pace isn't everything in football, footballing brain is the most important IMO, and Modric has it. Just look at Xavi, not the fastest player in the world.
I would choose Nasri, because first of all he fits in our current system. Secondly, I don't like CR at all, a crybaby, diver, cheater, selfish etc. I'm not saying he's a bad player, on the contrary, can't deny he's the second best player in the world by quite some distance.
lol id pick cr7 without a doubt, doesnt matter if he doesnt fit our system he'll still manage to end the season with 30 goals

Now He is one of the best CB's in the world and he is at his top. We dont have any problems in Cb's, maybe we can need someone to replace Yepes/Bonera at 4th or 5th choice CB.
Sheva wanted to leave Milan, however Milan wanted to keep him. Yet Milan wanted to sell Kaka. Just because,
1-He had a 20 m euros a year with taxes wage bill.
2-His injuries.
3-He was in decline since 2years.
Milan took the decision to sell him, they even let Kaka to talk with City first. Then he rejected them.
United sold Ronaldo, i wonder if their fans says they would sell Vidic soon.(considering they have better alternatives than us for CB position)
We have Nesta who can retire next season, Mexes, who didnt play full 90 mins yet.

Milan is seeking replacement for Gattuso/Flamini's place in january. Casemiro is for RCM not for Van Bommel's place.
