Wow. Just wow. I must say this is one of those moments where I was watching the match just knowing I was witnessing one of the most historic moments in football history. It's what makes this sport incredibly special.
I will comment more on the match tomorrow, but we've all witnessed something truly remarkable tonight that will live on in history for as long as we live for sure.

Amateur display by Brazil. Germany was good, yes, but Brazil allowed them to be. It almost took minimal effort to get IMO scoring positions.
Such a disorganized Brazilian team. The two CMs were nowhere to be seen. There was no compactness between the lines...if you could even call those lines. The two CBs were absolutely atrocious. David Luiz was all over the place, in a bad way. Forward, left, right...just not in his own position. I've never seen such an UNdisciplined CB playing professional football. I never thought I would see one in a World Cup semifinal. Dante was bad too.
Emotion took over the Brazilians. They started the game running like crazy, attacking, sprinting, going everywhere......only that they forgot that football is an organized sport and they first an foremost had to be ORGANIZED. It's like some of their players have to be taken back to basics on positional discipline. I really think the euphoria of the crowd got to them. They thought they could win the match on emotion. They paid a heavy price and the game was over after 20mins.
Amateur display. Something you would expect to see in a park for a pick-up game. Zero discipline in positioning.
Not to take anything away from the Germans though. They were great and efficient. Executed perfectly and are in the final.
I'm hoping for a Holland-Germany final. Payback for '74. And it's only fair that the Dutch finally win a WC. They belong in that group of nations.

I agree with Nefremo. Germany were ruthless but to describe Brazil defense as shambolic would be an understatement. Did they really ever have a plan? Or did they ditch that after conceding the first goal? Scratch that, not even their marking in the first goal resembling anything like a plan where every player knows who he's supposed to mark. Instead they treated it like it was their corner kick and moved together towards the incoming ball, leaving Muller with all the time and space to score. After that, all hell broke loose.
Marcello who was so disciplined against Colombia's Cuadrado suddenly lost his judgement as when to attack or defend, something that I've criticised several times already this World Cup. Fernandinho who bullied (or butchered, depending on your point of view) James several days ago suddenly looked like the weakest kid in school. And David Luiz? When the German players exchanged passes casually as if nobody really wanted to score for their third, fourth, and fifth goal, where the f**k was David Luiz? A team's captain should be the last one to lose his head. Well, maybe that doesn't apply here because he doesn't seem to have a head in the first place. PSG just spent 50 million pounds on the rarest specimen in football ever: a player that is all hair but no head.
