It is true since they are getting older but Milan midfield played better without these two players? Do you have any proof? Even a single proof? As far as I remember, Milan struggled when both of them were absent in Milan games last season. Recent friendly games showed how Milan struggled when Seedorf was absent (I actually don't count Seedorf since he played well only in the last games last season but he is the only left creative midfielder we have now, so I have to count him).

They have major roles in their national teams prove that my doubt about them as GREAT players (or rate them as avg-good players) is wrong? Hmmm, help me, I have problem to find good-great players (or world class player) in today Italy national team except Buffon, Chielini and Cassano. Montolivo and Aquilani were expected to be great players even until now they are still labelled as talented players.
And Boateng? Are you kidding me mentioning his role in his NT? It sounds like he plays for a great NT. He is German but he doesn't play for Germany NT. Constant? This guy has major roles for his NT? OK, I can believe it but what NT?
Boateng, Montolivo and Auqilani until now only reach the level of good players. They are not yet great players or at least better than good players. Of course there is possibility they could be great ones but I doubt it due to their age including Boateng.
Well, good players spread in all over the world but not great ones.
1. When Pirlo and Seedor played in our midfield we were outrunned by opposition players,that was more than visible in many games they played,because of their performances they were even booed by the supporters.Also Pirlo played only 17 games last season so his role in last year's scudetto was minor.Seedorf on the other hand played good only in his last couple of games where he scored decisive goals,but before that it was all rubbish.He still can assist like a genius I can give him that but he can't run like he used to...
2. Boateng isn't German he is Ghanaian and he plays for their national team who was almost semifinalist in the last WC, and yes he definitly had major role there,but he is very good player due to his running ability,stamina and technical skills...
3. Boateng,Aquilani and Montolivo can become great players in Milan. For example:Andrea Pirlo was considered as a talented player but then Inter almost ruined him but when he came to Milan he became the player in the world on the DMF position...there is no reason why that couldn't happen to at least one of those players....

You forgot, Milan collected points and got to the top when Pirlo was still playing. He was our best midfielder in the half of the season. Then when he was injured, we struggled. It was getting worse because other midfielders were also injured. We were doomed without both Pirlo and Seedorf. Seedorf was decisive even only played very well in the last games but still he DID help Milan to collect points and bring Milan to scudetto. I am not talking about Pirlo AND Seedorf playing together but I am talking about Milan without BOTH of them. Pirlo was never bood and Milan got outrun not solely because of them but because OUR MIDFIELD WERE OLD (VERY OLD). Seedorf was the one who got boo.
You can share how many points we lost when one of Pirlo or Seedorf played and how many points when both of them were not playing.
By the way, did you watch our summer friendly games? We were stuck since we don't have creativity on the midfield. We were better when Seedorf was playing (hate to say this though

He is German, his brother plays for Germany. That means, they are both Germans but have also other nationality.
Nothing you mentioned could describe him as great player. He was very useful for Milan last year but that doesn't mean he is great player. His characteristic is suitable to Allegri's tactic for CAM position (even not very optimal). He is not the player we can rely on to bring us to succeed the Europe. He is good player but not more than that.

You compare players who are over 25 and players who were 21-23 years old when playing for Milan? Aquilani and Montolivo ARE NOT YOUNG players. Of course there is still probability they could be great players (small chance IMO) but for these years they could not fulfill the expectation and until now they are still called talents even already in their peak-performance's age.
Boateng, due to his football ability (which I think average-good) does not have big chance to develop to a great player.

Boateng is Ghanaian,it doesn't matter where are you born.I am born in Croatia but I am Montenegrin. You can apply that on Boateng's case....Ok if you think they are not great players then who is most suitable for Milan?

Siregar, Boateng is born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father, so is eligible to play for both. He has represented Germany at every level of the youth side, but eventually chose to play for Ghana due to his father's background (this is also why he prefers to be called Prince). Personally, I do feel he can be an absolute star if he continues his development, as I think he has a lot of ability that often isn't recognised and he's only 24. Interesting to note that when milannews held a poll about last season's player of the year, Boateng finished second to Thiago Silva.
As for the rest of our new players, we need to give them a chance imo. None are stars right now, but all have ability and I'm interested to see them in our club. It's very possible they may not be of the quality of Seedorf, Pirlo and Rino, but it's always difficult to compare new arrivals for a new generation to established stars who already have a fondness in our hearts. If I'm totally honest, I never imagined when I first saw Rino play for Milan that he'd go on to become a club legend, nor would I have ever guessed that Seedorf would come to Milan to be recognised as one of the best midfielders in the world, and a legend himself.

It is another issue about blood vs place people grew up.
As I said in my post in the past, Milan should first identify their target. Galliani co (at the end of last season or at the beginning of this season) set CL this season as the target along with Scudetto. Having target like that, our transfer-in does not reflect our target. With this new signings our target should Scudetto with CL only to raise as much money as we can. I don't have problem if management target only Scudetto since it is also a realistic plan. I like also their investment in youth and I think the should buy talented youth like Shaarawy (a player which ready to take part in the first team, not very young one) than super star if we do really have to limit our expenditure due to lack of money we have.
So, who is most suitable for Milan? Depend on what Milan management want from the team.

Not going to comment on Boateng bc I think he still have room to improve and given how he plays he might just reinvent the CAM position like Pirlo did with DM. Like the traditional CAM position is about creativity and goals....but Boateng is about movement off the ball, pressing and rushing into thhe box when there is space. Given how creative Ibra and Cassano are, there is a good chance that Boateng can become the Pirlo of this era.
As for Aqua and Nocerino, I would even add Monty To the mix since he is heavily link with Milan. I doubt they will become great players like Cesc, Xavi, Pirlo, Gerrard and Ballack like I mentioned but they could become great compliment players in Milan. Personally, I am all for giving them a chance to prove their worth but honestly, if they are any good they should already showed it by now. I also don't buy into the late boomer theory, unless they did not have a chance to play regularly.
Lastly, I think Gattuso is great and he is actually the Dennis Rodman of football, someone who worked hard, understood his role and played hard, but how many players now and in the past can you say that
they are the exception and the exceptional? Point is, I really can't see Monty, Aqua and Nocerino being one of them.

That's why I mentioned his brother who choose Germany instead of Ghana. Both of them are German (and at the same time Ghanaian).
From the quality and ability he has shown with Milan I doubt he could turn to be a great player or absolute star. He miss the completion skills. He can dribble but not that good (not bad either) which makes him can't be the player who break the defence but has to move random like he has been doing, his pass' quality is good but he also often made error passes, his ball-possession skill is not bad but not good enough to be in central of offensiveness and lose ball often enough, etc. Overall his football skills are over average but not that much. His big advantage is that he suits Allegri's tactic (player behind two strikers) even though there are players could do better there.

I don't judge the players we got this season because they never play for Milan, I only rate them before they join Milan. They can turn to be a great player, or at least a useful player like Boateng. Especially Aquilani.
I only complain the management act in summer transfer window.

About why we might get a shot at CL,I think we are half a notch behind 2 giants of la liga,we'd better counter-attack them instead of making effort to controll the rythem.bale and ayew pair will be more useful than robinho and cassano.
Bale for 40 million and ayew 15 million.robinho values 20 million,and cassano 15 million.we only need 20 million to complete this rejuvenation.
