RE: Summer mercato 2020 - reza - 05-22-2020 (05-22-2020, 04:31 PM)Artan Wrote: ok, everyone has different opinions, me inclusive. we dont have to agree, yet, lets give the new project time and see what happens. we tried many different options in the past years, none worked. lets see what rangnick will do. i surrender until december. There is no need to surrender or anything like that. Different opinions are always good. I think I (we) are saying that multibillionaire B&G way is not possible anymore and somewhere in between like 70 for Paqueta and Piatek failed too. MM was too monotone lately, everyone agreed. recognizing Mazen's absence, i thought to fill in his boots on a side note, Devilsmania.com died just because everyone agreed on a topic, so , there was nothing to discuss about. RE: Summer mercato 2020 - Sleeping Giant - 05-22-2020 Journalist Pietro Balzano Prota has claimed that AC Milan’s scouting team have two teenage Brazilian stars on the wish list ahead of the summer. Two names, in particular, have emerged: central defender Bruno Fuchs (19) from Internacional Porto Alegre (who have financial problems) and also central midfielder Diego Rosa (17) from Gremio. A bit old news(1 week), Napoli and Milan are interested in signing FC Lorient starlet Enzo Le Fée, FC Lorient has already set its market value at 10-15 million. Napoli are closing in for former Milan target Everton Soares for reported around 25-30M RE: Summer mercato 2020 - Artan - 05-22-2020 Baresi and Massaro reported to take Maldini and Boban places in the management. This is apparently Gazidis idea lately RE: Summer mercato 2020 - sylrus - 05-23-2020 why would baresi suddenly take up the director role? RE: Summer mercato 2020 - Sleeping Giant - 05-23-2020 Ralf Rangnick's best signings as RB Leipzig sporting director: Mukiele 16M€ Werner 14M€ Nkunku 13M€ Forsberg 3.7M€ Halstenberg 3.5€ Sabitzer 2M€ Orban 2M€ Upamecano 10M€ Poulsen 1.5M€ Klostermann 1M€ Kimmich 500K€ Keita 1.5M€ Demme 350K€ Konate Free Milan meanwhile Bertolacci- 24M Hakan- 24M Conti-24M Kessie-28M Paqueta-38M Piatek-35M Caldara-35M Andre silva-38M Castillejo-25M Laxalt-12M RE: Summer mercato 2020 - nefremo - 05-23-2020 The interesting part is that other than Keita, none of the other ones were sold for big profits. Demme went to Napoli for a big profit, but not like he was a key player for them and not like they were selling a key piece just to make money. It was normal piece of business. The point is...where do people get these claims that Ralf will sign young players, only to sell them a year or 2 later for profit? I don't see a proof of that. The other interesting part is....majority of those players are not an "A List" player on their own. They are instead, part of a well functioning and oiled group. Naby Keita for example stood out individually due to his technical ability in the midfield, but even he has struggled outside of that group. That's a real testiment to Ralf (and the coaching/developing staff at Leipzig). It seems that just like the Ajax players, more often than not, they will have a hard time once they leave. Not to say they won't have a great career outside of that environment, but it might take sime time. Which brings me to my next point.......i'm very cautious of signing players out of places like Ajax and Leipzig. You never really know how good the player is. They've only ever played in that 1 system under the same drilled in expectations, movements, etc. So we are seeing some links to Leipzig players (natural order of rumours i guess after all this stuff about Ralfl)...which I would normally be very cautious about....but if Ralf is for sure coming, than it might even be better to get some of these players as they'll already be a few steps ahead in terms of tactics. Needless to say...I think linking us tp RB players now is lazy journalism and likely not true. RE: Summer mercato 2020 - Hitman - 05-24-2020 (05-23-2020, 03:35 PM)nefremo Wrote: Which brings me to my next point.......i'm very cautious of signing players out of places like Ajax and Leipzig. You never really know how good the player is. They've only ever played in that 1 system under the same drilled in expectations, movements, etc. I agree, the probability of these players succeeding in Serie A isn’t very high. I believe the opportunity now will be to snatch the absolute best players from smaller clubs for bargains (relatively speaking) or going for that world class player (even though this approach is unlikely by Rangnick) for a 30-50% discount such as Coutinho/Dembele/Neymar. Why do I believe there’ll be such a high discount for these players? Well, a lot of clubs will need to monetize on anything they have and decrease their wage bills. I also imagine some of these already highly paid players may head towards cheaper contracts (Neymar definitely) at their next clubs if they move this year. Clubs cannot sustain those crazy costs and players begin to lower their demands even if only temporarily. Here’s my post on another topic explaining why I believe that it is inevitable that the values will drop next market. RE: Summer mercato 2020 - Hitman - 05-24-2020 If it is true that Rangnick wants to be a sporting director and bring in a coach as well (according to some rumors), I would really hope they seriously consider Pochettino. The advantages of Pochettino for the way the football is played and results achieved is huge. Rangnick’s impressive results came in the sporting side of the club - scouting, medically, technology and style of play implementation across the teams of the club, like what Barcelona, City and Redbull have. The actual coaching Rangnick has had his ups and downs... but Pochettino has only had ups and ups and ups in recent years. He’s definitely a great coach. The combination of Rangnick + Pochettino is enticing. Rather more fitting than Rangnick (coach) + Braida (what would he come for if not sporting director, which is the responsibility that Rangnick wants above all?). But Poch + Rangnick would represent a steep investment cause Poch would also want to bring some of his coaching staff. Could have conflicting ideas in terms of staff with Rangnick but this definitely is an idea worth imploring. Summer mercato 2020 - Lebanese - 05-24-2020 Hitman is right, the market will crash. You have to look further than football. The businesses behind football. Many clubs will struggle to stay alive, we are safe thanks to elliott. I dont think the prices he suggested is realistic but you get the point. |
