AC Milan are looking into the possibility of re-signing Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain and are ready to pay in excess of €20 million for the Brazil international."

According to Goal.com this is reported by Corriere dello Sport. So, yeah right...

Excess of 20m? Didn't we sell him for something around there.. Anyhow, that ship has sailed, I'd rather spend 20m on a top top quality midfielder. For defenders, we should try to get Fabian Schar.. IIRC he's free next summer, great player or will be at least he's still young.

Milannews says we have a deal in place with River Plate for Vangioni and we are in talks to sign Brozovic for January. Anyone know anything about this Brozovic guy? Please share Big Grin

Brozovic is not Essien or Muntari, and that's good enough for me, lol.

RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - reza - 12-02-2014

We sold Silva for ~42 million, it was Ibra who went for 20 million.

Brozovic is good and could be very good.We offered 4m (I doubt that) Dinamo want 8m.Schalke Arsenal Inter Liverpool are also in the running , and will pay what Dinamo want.No chance he ends up at modern Milan.

Oh ok thats right, thanks for correcting me. And wow, I'd still pay 20mln for Ibra today.

Apparently this deal with Emirates should mean there's something to spend in the mercatos. However, I'm less convinced on who we apparently want to spend on, as we're looking at Brozovic (who's a decent player actually), Vangioni and Okaka. Definitely not convinced the latter two are what we need.

Im not so sure. Its a 30% increase on our deal and with no UCL this year and I honestly think next season ,I really dont see anything different than what we've been doing. Its 100m over 5 years so €20m a year with an extra few Million per year.
Maybe we'll sign a €3/€4m player but nothing more.

Vangioni is nearly 28 no one had heard of him and he had no offers Europe , He'd be a huge risk.River want €7m too so that wont be happening.

Okaka would be a terrible move , he never managed more than 7 goals in a season , and both his 7 goal seasons came in the lower leagues.
He's playing in a team thats doing great playing to best of their ability and he's a focal point...going through a so called purple patch this season which is his best performance wise ,yet he only has 2 goals. He would fail miserably here.Samp also want €15m so he is not cheap.Everton Villa Valencia Stuttgart Inter Hamburg are also interesred.

He'd do nothing here.A lot of our failings are due our dire uncreative midfield , our CF have nothing to feed off.Look at Matri he was decent to good at Juve a 10+ a year striker comes to Milan crap...leaves Milan good again. Our problem areas are never addressed. We need quality in midfield but its as likely to happen as Milan winning the UCL LAST YEAR.

RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - WCmilan - 12-05-2014

Whether we spend it on transfers or not remains to be seen, but surely it will be helpful to the club in some way, shape or form.

Good things are happening in our club, the big problem is they should have been done a long time ago. I'm referring to our now talent stacked youth teams, our plans to build a stadium, and our emphasis on shorter contracts for old geezers and hopefully the next step is to stop signing past prime big contract players in the first place.

Please no Okaka, I will never watch Milan again. He lacks any skill at all, he's just a big physical guy, but he'd be frustrating to watch.. He goes against everything that I would personally look to in an ideal striker. We're making a huge mistake by not trying to buy Kramaric. He's the only player who shows the promise to be something big that isn't completely out of our financial reach. I have a feeling he'll end up in Italy with Rubentus or merda..
