RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 04-06-2011

Exactly my point, thanks for backing this up gabriel because i'm sure many people in the forum don't support it but it will be another VanBommel situation, once he hits 30 goals mid season everyone will love the transfer, the difference is Ronaldo will be close to 100Mill , bommel was freeBig Grin . No player other then Messi can offer what he can however, we add a top notch midfielder or two a nice LB and bring back astori and get mexes, we are set hello Barcelona.

It is funny how people react in this forum. When Berlu did not wish to spend and kept getting the likes of Emerson....us fans kept saying they need to spend more....and some fans kept saying, well thats not your money. NOw that Berlu wants to spend, they say don't b/c he is too expensive....
For once I am glad Berlu wants to splash big on PLAYERS again, and that's what BIG and GREAT teams do season after season. Just remember that the GOLDEN AGE of Milan, Berlu broke the bank to get Gullit and then the REAL MVB in back to back years, not to mention getting Frank at that time too.

Spot on, exactly.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 04-06-2011

Berlusconi is under INTENSE pressure in Italy right now. He's currently awaiting a trial where he could even go to jail (although with his power, most likely not).

Perhaps he wants to buy assets asap I'm not sure why.

Having said this, I highly doubt we'll get Ronaldo. He'd cost close to €100 Million, an astronomical amount for a team who won't buy Coentrao for 24, and has been very very shy on the transfer market up until this past summer.

Lastly, Cristiano Ronaldo seems very confident playing in Madrid, a country very similar to the culture of his home Portugal. Furthermore, it was his favorite team growing up, he's the star of the team, a team who has unlimited funds, a great squad, a great coach, and a great rivalry with Barcelona (Messi). He will not leave. Milan has great tradition, and is of the top 4 teams in Europe in regards to History (Man U, R Madrid, Barca, Milan) however, he will not have any emotional reason to join our team, I'm sorry for you guys and appreciate your optimism. I'd gladly take him, but he won't come.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 04-06-2011

they wont buy coentrao for 24 because in b&gs terms hes not a real champion, he could be in the future but berlusconi only REALLLY splashes out the cash when it comes down to players like messi,r10 at barca, ronaldo etc. so you never know

Geo, how is Cissokho playing this year on a regular basis? His agent said Milan is interested but things will go on only after we secure the scudetto...

Coentrao for 24mln... we'll he is a top class player.

Cagliani Belgian midfielder is said to be close to us, I cant remember his name.

No other news.

P.S.

I dont want CR7 in Milan. Milan is class team.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Beppe - 04-06-2011

CR7 is class!!! But too expensive and not realistic.

I watched Cissokho like 5-6 times this season (not that much, I know) but I'm not too impressed by him. Coentrao on the other hand Smile

Cissokho doesn't convince me ...
And since yesterday, he is in a bad story with fans, he insulted some fans before the training session (fans are angree because of the results of Lyon, and in France, when fans are angree, they insult the players during the training sessions ... but this time, it's Cissokho who insulted the fans).

I don't want this guy in Milan, even if he is going to be clearly better than Antonini in long term, he has no brain, he sometimes has very bad performances (which is a problem for a defender), I already saw him arguing with some partners during games, and now this story with the supporters ... For me, talent is there but he isn't a player able to support the pressure of a big club. Lyon is the biggest club in France, and alongside Marseille, it's the club with the most pressure from the fans because they want their team to win the championship each season since their seven-title-in-a-row run ...

There are better players in Italy to be honest (Balzaretti ?) ...

Actually, people tend to say "don't spend huge on one single player" because they still think Berlusconi won't spend millions and millions in one single mercato and are afraid that buying this guy could mean no other player coming ...

Anyway, I think Berlusconi understood that with the financial fair play rule starting soon, it's now or never to buy WC players, real stars ...
(and I don't believe this guy could come without any player traded ... I also don't think he'll leave Madrid, but at least, this rumour is seriously taken by Mourinho as he said he heard that and will leave Madrid if they sell C.Ronaldo)

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACMILAN1983 - 04-06-2011

Geo how is Taiwo performing this season? I get the feeling we will see him in Milan colours next season.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 04-06-2011

Lets assume, Berlu spend 200Mil on the squad this summer.
100M going to CR7
20M on Hernanes
5M+Flamini on Sandro
25M on Robben
10M on Nagatomo
8M on Lucas, if that agreement about not signing Ganso is true.
0 on Mexes and Astori
Trade Papa for the 50% of Boateng
Sell Cassano for 15mil

While letting go of Pirlo, Seedorf, Janku, Oddo, Bonera Dilac, Urby and Legro.
