RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 09-01-2011 Anyone watched the friendly match between Como and Milan tonight? We won 1-2 in the end with Ambro's and Urby's goals. There are something to notice: - Kingsley and El Shaarawy started as a two-top, each one assisted a goal. Kingsley played full match while El enjoy 67 minutes. Great prospects!!! - De Sciglio is trusted by Allegri. He played 46 minutes (as RB, IMO). He is also included in CL squad, so I think he is 2nd or 3rd RB this season. - Antonini was tested at RCM again, he played 67 minutes. Bonera was awful but still lasted till the end. I feel sorry for the unlucky CB, but I can't let myself have heart attack. - Prince as ACM again. And here is the CL squad: Abate, Abbiati, Ambrosini, Amelia, Antonini, Aquilani, Boateng, Bonera, Cassano, Thiago Silva, De Sciglio, Robinho, Emanuelson, Gattuso, Ibrahimovic, Mexes, Nesta, Nocerino, Pato, Roma, Seedorf, Taiwo, Van Bommel, Yepes, Zambrotta. No Shaarawy, no Pippo. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - theaxeofpain - 09-01-2011 WTF!!!!!???? No Pippo???
RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - BINHO - 09-02-2011 (09-01-2011, 11:51 PM)theaxeofpain Wrote: WTF!!!!!???? No Pippo??? Is it necessary to have 5 CB's??? Bonera is so bad, I think I am better than him. Out of sheer passion, I'll defend better. Anyways, Pippo is great in CL nights, and the fact he's not there is stupid. Allegri big mistake. BTW, what position is El Shaaraway, ACM or SS? RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - theaxeofpain - 09-02-2011 El Shaarawy can play both positions I think. Anyway, this really shouldn't be discussed here, but De Sciglio? Really? Nothing against him, but Pippo would have surely been more useful than him... RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Hitman - 09-02-2011 ah well I didnt bother coming online for past few days after all the lies by our management so spent it at the beach.....now I'm back to get it off my chest I am ultra pissed at the management - B, G and Allegri for promising quality signings. Stuff like "2 WC players coming if we get the Serie A", all those descriptions of Mr X, "Remember, market closes at 19:00 Italy time, its still open"... they lied to us fans and made us believe in something and ended up with Aquilani and Nocerino. Absolutely lovely. It is not a horrible mercato, but the problem is they said they want to compete in the CL... we only won serie A last year because the rest of the teams were terrible, not because of how great we were. Our team was terribly uncreative, especially in the midfield. Our fullbacks cannot assist when we need them to. We have no 'regista' or playmaker in the midfield anymore, call Aquilani what you want, he is no Pirlo, Kaka, Ganso or Cesc. This mercato only makes Milan's bench better, it is not going to up our quality at all. I think we stay the same while we watch the top teams all invest heavily and get stronger and stronger every year. Painful times being a Milan fan with this management at these times. I don't know if last year was a one-off, but this summer is on-par with the those summers where we only signed Huntelaar and Emerson. I am truly disappointed. I was hoping we would finally return to the scene in the CL. Being eliminated by Arsenal, Spurs and getting thrashed by Man United in recent years doesn't seem to be enough to convince our management that we simply are not good enough any more. If Silvio does not want to invest, it's time he leaves. We are fed up. Galliani is more than a capable business man and great negotiater, he simply is Silvio's face to Milan, I wouldn't blame G - I think it's simply Berlusconi's lack of funds. We all expected a great summer from Milan, all the transfer experts too. Then came that fine, which all of Milan came out and said that will not affect Milan at all.... but that was the biggest lie of all the lies they gave us this summer. It has hugely affected us, but at least, we didn't sell any one our players YET. I think us fans should protest as much as possible for Berlusconi to give the club up. He is not going to invest anytime soon and with FFP coming in, these are the final years where we can invest like crazy and we are not using it. The club's problems is 100% within the management, we need to sort our problems out in the top...because Allegri is doing all he can with the bullsht midfield he's given. Time for us fans to speak up and stand up. No one person is bigger than the club right? It's time to find us a new sugar daddy that's willing to bring Milan back to the top. Best of luck to Aquilani and Nocerino - we hope they can do something with us. Forza Milan RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACM1899 - 09-02-2011 Hitman u have every right to be pissed off. But until jan this is the team and we didnt have a chance to win CL so lets beat inher again. ( I really believe they will give us a run for our money again) RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 09-02-2011 (09-01-2011, 07:09 PM)russo-neri Wrote:(09-01-2011, 05:57 PM)Gabriel426 Wrote: If the Monty deal is true, then Milan will get sue and fine big time by UEFA. As no players with one year remaining in their contract can sign with any other clubs without the consent of their existing club. Even a verbal agreement is a violation of the rule, since verbal agreement can be treat as a written agreement in the court of law. Thats why I think even if this is true, it is quite stupid for either side to leak it out. Since the person who reported this is liable for a libel/defamation charge from Monty and Milan, if this is not true. In short, if Milan is getting charge by Viola, Milan has all the rights in the world to charge the person who reported this libel, as long as it is proven that is not the truth. Thats a huge difference between a WC players and a great compliment players. An example would be a few yrs ago, the mid trio of Fletcher, Park and Carrick. Where none of them individually were WC, together they formed a WC midfield b/c they each compliment each other well. It's funny how you said Monty and Aqua still have not reach the top levels yet. Since i think all players have the potential to reach the top levels one time or another but can they make it, is another story. Carrick like you said is not and never was WC, but like Monty and Aqua when he was mid 20s, people kept saying he could be WC..... Point I am trying to make is that, sometime as fans we tend to read too much into the players potentials and project them to an unreal expectations. Like we look at a what a player is doing when they are early 20s and think that he will only get better b/c he is young......thus thinking he will one day be at the level of the best players at that time. Most of these players never make it, not b/c they don't have talents or lazy or injuries but b/c they are really just as good as they can be in their early 20s. Like if a new early 20s striker scored 10 goals in his debut season in Serie A, some might think he will one day score 25 goals a season with better teammates and plays better.....but maybe he will just ended up scoring around 10 goals a season for the rest of his career with one or two seasons where he scored 15 or 18. Thats actually sounds a lot like Borriello. Legally, nothing could prevent Monto deciding to sign elsewhere or us deciding we don't want him anymore. This was just a "gentleman's agreement" that you would assume will be honored by both parties. It didn't sound like anbody on Milan or Monto's side leaked it out. This is nothing but an unfounded rumor reported by a website that offers no proof whatsoever. Both Monto and Milan would deny if asked (even if the story is true). If courts go after media outlets that report rumors that end up being false, every website that covers mercato would be in jail. Bottom line, this agreement could very well be true which is unethical. But unless someone can provide hard proof (audio/video recording) showing discussions of a deal, there's nothing to worry about. And seriously, how many reports have we heard about Cesc coming here. It's come to the point that you can't believe anything you hear on the internet when it comes to mercato until a signing is official. I wouldn't worry about this little story... RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 09-02-2011 Is that the confirm CL list, then I am surprised Pippo did not make it, actually shocked. Since Pippo was the only person other than Ibra who actually scored a goal in CL last season. I have to disagree with you on Ambro, as I think he's a much more prominent midfielder than given credit for. He's been at the club since 1998 and has played a key role in numerous teams, all have which had different characteristics, so to say he merely complimented the set up I think is difficult. About Aquilani and Montolivo reaching their peaks, it's only my personal opinion but I'm convinced they have much more to offer than what they've shown in the career so far (Nocerino too). Unlike Carrick and Fletcher, who I personally didn't ever rate as highly, I think the Italians have the ability to really go far, but until now circumstances and weaknesses have prevented this. Truth is though, I'm really hoping Allegri can get the best out of them as otherwise they won't add a great deal. |
