Well no, actually it isn't. Pricetag varies. If you're talking about the asking price, then it's a completely different story.
Being just a candidate isn't good enough, at leas for a player like Maldini, who has played in the highest levels of football for quite a long time. In the years Maldini has been playing, Ihor Bjelanov (pardon my ignorance here, born in 1990 so no idea who the guy is and how good he was) Matthias Sammer and Fabio Cannavaro won the Ballon D'Or. Paolo came only 3dr twice, in 1994 and 2003.
Modric is already an established player, and while Gotze is very good and promising, Modric will fit our system perfectly, he reminds me a bit of a younger Seedorf. Pace isn't everything in football, footballing brain is the most important IMO, and Modric has it. Just look at Xavi, not the fastest player in the world.
I would choose Nasri, because first of all he fits in our current system. Secondly, I don't like CR at all, a crybaby, diver, cheater, selfish etc. I'm not saying he's a bad player, on the contrary, can't deny he's the second best player in the world by quite some distance.

It's just a personal opinion though, I just plain don't like him. Our beautiful red and black shirt wouldn't look good with that face of his.

lol, fair point. Good movie too, Amir Khan's probably one of the most interesting actors in Indian cinema.

Definitely one of the few actors who does serious work in Bollywood.
And by serious I mean, work that isn't shamelessly plagiarized, and strives to make the audience think.
His wife is an asset to the industry as well. Brilliant work with Dhobighaat (Mumbai diaries).
But then again, I am partial to the Khans, since my mom is a Khan.
Back on topic...we were rumoured to be on the verge of signing Casemiro. Like some have said, Braida's visit to Brazil has caused a speculation frenzy. Let's see who we end up with in Jan.

lol, we should probably stop talking about Bollywood on the transfer forum
rumours are Chelsea and Barca are on high alert as we may decide to sell Pato at the end of the season. Sources are dubious at best though (one being tribal).
There are lots of rumours of us going after Naingollan again, possibly as a long term replacement for Rino. Would absolutely love to have this guy in our squad, a fighter in midfield but is surprisingly technical. He'd be like Nocerino, but imo is probably better.
