He does not tracks back and like Robinho, they both are better suited to play as a SS.
Even if Milan play a 4-3-3 like Barca or Real. Two of Pippo, Cassano and Robinho will be on thhe bench. If Hulk comes, there will be three of Hulk, Pippo, Cassano and Robinho on the bench.

For those of you who think we will play Aquilani & Seedorf at once, or Boateng, Aquilani and Kaka, that is not what will happen.

AC Milan may attack in the league against certain teams when it tactically calls for it, but our tradition has been as a typical Italian team to score once or twice and play a lot of defense. Italy (comprised of a semi-Milan midfield) won the World Cup with Gattuso, Pirlo, Perrotta, Camoranesi, etc. by allowing the other team possession but playing sound tactical defense, combined with counter-attacking play.

I just don't feel we have the players to play all-out attack like Real Madrid & Barcelona. Expect 2 or 3 DM's which is what Allegri has shown he likes. Eventually, we'll need younger, more dynamic, 2-way midfielders (Cesc, Hamsik, Oezil), and not specialists like Kaka (plays very little defense), and Gattuso (no offense).

I personally thought Hamsik was great for our formation as he works very well at the top of the diamond, can do many things, and runs into the box (similar to Boateng) which free's up our strikers.

Its goal.crap, but still:

AC Milan make €15m Kaka move, and are prepared to wait for Real Madrid retreat on price

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - BINHO - 08-27-2011

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forum as I left 24-7forums which everyone is very disrespectful, due to the fact that every club as their own thread so many supporters post on other club's threads, and it becomes a lot of fights.

Reading some posts here it seems everyone is quite intelligent and on the same page. Our Summer Mercato 2011 has been descent at best. More than the fact a World Class player (midfielder) did not arrive, the fact that our Management lied about it is what is more disappointing. It seems as thought Berlusconi & Galliani don't want anyone knowing if they have money or not, with the truth being they're not willign to spend (whether they have or not). Some clubs have money and do not spend (Arsenal), some clubs have money & Spend (Man City), and some clubs go into massive debt (Barcelona). It seems we're in a 4th category of teams who don't have and don't spend, despite having an owner who is apparently won of the richest men in the World?Huh

Mexes, Taiwo, Aquilani & El Shaaraway are a step in the right direction. One ACM would be prefered and my choice was always one of Hamsik or Ganso. My feeling over Kaka is that while he would improve our squad, he's not moving us into the future.

I like the packed 4-man diamond midfield but with 3 hard working midfielders could we not play something like this (IF Cassano&Robinho track back)???:

--------------------Ibra/Pato------------------
Robinho---------------------------------Cassano
----------Aquilani----------Boateng-------------

Taiwo--------T.Silva-----Nesta----------Abate

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum BINHO, hope you enjoy it here.
There is a distinction between prudence and being cheap, when management promotes the team like 'champions' it should back it up more forcefully than this. Despite some good signings like Ibra and Binho this club is nowhere near practicing what it preaches.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 08-27-2011

We strengthed the squad with Mexes, Aquilani, El Shaarwy and Taiwo. 4 Good buys though we spend very little. We got much money from loan and co-ownership deals, we sold some players, such as Astori to Genoa for 4-5 m euros. We reduced wages after Pirlo's and Janku's departure. We sold Borriello to Roma for 10 m euros. at least we didnt need to sell one of our big player for FFP unlike inter.

Everyone here dreams of a big player. Hernanes was playing as CAM at Sao Paolo, Hernanes is playing as CAM at Lazio. Fabregas always wanted Barcelona, its very hard to buy Basti from Bayern, Napoli wanted to keep Hamsik. actually, Would you believe Hamsik would bring a CL to us? However he never played a CL game before and Napoli wants 40 m euros for him. if Hamsik does well in Cl this year, then he wants to leave Napoli next season, if Milan doesnt buy him when we need him, i'd be angry at Galiani. Btw Hamsik plays as CAM for Napoli as well. Both Hamsik and Hernanes doesnt play as mezz'ala at their clubs.

Someone in here mentioned brazilian U-20 attacking midfielder Dudu before. He seems to have joined Dynamo Kiev for around 5 million euros.
