RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 08-22-2011 (08-22-2011, 11:10 AM)el fre Wrote: Jay, I understand your frustration BUT the financial situation is very bad, world wide. It is only natural to consier the costs before you buy players for large sums. We invested in El sharaawy, youth player. Yeah, very bad financial situation comes to Milan every year while other club faces financial problem only once in some years. ![]() I just hope we don't do same mistake like when we won CL in 2007, bought almost nothing coz we (Galliani co.) thought (or still think?) we were champions and we could conquer the world. ![]() If Milan really lack of money, they should spend wise. They should invest the money to buy Robinho for CM since we need (since last year) more a CM than a striker. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 08-22-2011 Real signed Coentraro to be vice Marcelo, Sahin to be vice Alonso. Altintop was always a reserve for Bayern. He left them because of lacks of playing time. Taiwo is a solid left wing back. a beast. You can see how he stopped Robben and Krasic... Taiwo was free agent, lets not forget that Real Madrid was after him as well. They signed Coentrao. We signed Taiwo. it seems he solved our left wing back problems. We have Zambrotta, whos ready for always. We have Abate for Rb, i think that if he improves on offensive zone, its a positve mark for us. He had a great season last year, but he ended up with the season just with 1 assist. He needed to improve on crossing and last touches. if you notice that he asisted for Boateng yesterday. His long ball for Super Cup. Taiwo needs time to adjust. He will be better. he will do better offensively. We are in financially hard position. We shouldnt forget it. http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?9266-2011-2012-Midfielders-Rumors-Thread/page120 Lets look at post 2392... We cant make 30 m euros gamble signings while we have free and solid option for left wing back. We have many options in midfield, Van Bommel, Ambrosini for CDM, Gattuso/Flamini for RCM, Seedorf/Emaneulson for LCM. Mezz'ala was the only position we need signings. We cant depent on Seedorf for full season, considering Emanuelson is not a ideal mezz'ala. This s why we are about to sign Aquilani... its really interesting somebody doesnt want him because calling him as a injury prone. Same persons wants Kaka who was injury prone at Real, where Aquilani was not injury prone. Okay he had a year at Roma with full injuries. He is good tackler, he is quick, good dribbler, great passer. Lets not forget Seedorf will start with this form. Aquilani will be vice Seedorf. an alternative to Seedorf. i'd rather to have Hamsik or Hernanes but both Napoli and Lazio doesnt want to sell. They aim high. Lazio made expensive signings, and their wage bills increased so much lately. They want success. They want CL football...Aquilani in this case, for 7 m euros is a bargain for us. We signed Mexes, Taiwo, El Shaarwy, about to sign Aquilani...maybe we can add Pekalksi to them. Malmö midfielder that ibra advised Milan to sign him. Ganso is max 15-20 m euros player if you ask me. But yet Santos is aksing for 50-55 m euros for him. its impossible to sign Ganso. We have ibra, Cassano, Pato and Robinho for attack. its the best attack Milan had in the last 10 years. We can sign Neymar or others just in case that someone comes and offer 60-70 m euros for Pato, Milan accepts it and sells Pato then we can replace him with Neymar or Balotelli. But for now we dont need them. Signing Kaka is more expensive than Fabregas. Thats what Galliani said. His wages costs 20 m euros a year with taxes. Just take a look at the graph then you will see that Milan wont sign Kaka because of his wages. Signing Montolivo just doesnt make any sense considering we will have Seedorf/Aquilani for mezz'ala, Ambrosini/Van Bommel as CDM, Gattuso/Flamini as RCM. We are set in midfield. maybe we can make a 2.5m euros signing in Pekalski. Let MGT work with peace, they will be busy with midfielder signings next year as many of our midfielders are out of contract next season... RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Beppe - 08-22-2011 Alberto Aquilani’s agent has begun talks with Milan after owner Silvio Berlusconi approved the proposed swoop. The Rossoneri chief was questioned about the Liverpool player last night and he seemed to OK an approach. “Aquilani is an interesting player,” the Italian Prime Minister noted while attending the club’s 2-1 win over Juventus. Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri also seems in favour of bringing in the man who spent last season on loan at Juventus. “Aquilani is a player with great quality,” the former Cagliari boss noted. “He’d replace Andrea Pirlo in the squad.” Pirlo left Milan in the summer for Juventus. Franco Zavaglia, Aquilani’s representative, arrived at the club’s Via Turati headquarters this morning for negotiations. It’s unclear whether the player will be signed outright or if he’ll be taken on loan with the option to buy next summer. PRESIDENT SILVIO BERLUSCONI "In the second half we only had four first team while Juve had their first team out and so we only played in defence. But in the first half we played very well and we scored two fantastic goals. There is talk about Aquilani, I like him, he is a complete player that can play on the right and on the left. He is young and he is a Milan type player. acmilan.com RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 08-22-2011 Relax, my friends. Today I bring you another name: Francesco Totti. Both Thomas Di Bennedetto and Luis Enrique don't want Totti as the main actor. This guy is retrying the method he used to push Ranieri out of the team: refuse to train and influence his friends in Roma. However, I don't think he can succeed this time. Having Totti as ACM is very nice. Totti's passing is one of the world best, especially his no-look pass, and his attacking qualities are still there. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Jay Crisp - 08-22-2011 He's also 104 yes old we need to get away from those kind of signings . RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - fLame - 08-22-2011 If we are going to bring in Totti, why stop there? Let's also get Del Piero and bring Maldini out of retirement.
RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - devoted_dm - 08-22-2011 Aquilani is a good signing, so I'm happy to see him come. The only problem is that he is constantly injured, but hopefully Milan Lab can help him with that. At any rate, I thought we were excellent in the first half against Juve last night, in spite of only having one striker available and missing all our Brazilians. I think this can be a pretty good season for us, and Aquilani will probably be able to make a good contribution to the Milan cause. Btw, I don't really think we can complain about our mercato. Not this summer, and not last summer either. If there's one thing I have learned about how Galliani operates, it is that the man has an excellent ability to spot players who will come to Milan for a low fee and then become major players. Some examples of this are players like Gattuso, Pirlo, Kaká, Thiago Silva and Boateng. He has also been able to get us players like Mexes, Flamini and van Bommel for free. It is not always necessary to splash the cash to build a strong squad. And when it is deemed necessary, Milan will spend, like we did last summer by buying Ibra and Binho. But the days of spending lots of money just because we can are definitely over, and personally I think that's OK. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 08-22-2011 For those of you who misunderstand the Tax System on football players in Italy, it's a 50% tax bracket. So what that means is that Kaka's salary per year is €20 Million. 50% of that goes to taxes ( €10 Million ). So AC Milan has to pay higher salary's to it's players because of the high taxes, in order to compete with other countries clubs. The current situation in the world (particularly Europe) is so awful that governments know nothing else but to print money and tax innocent people. Now football players are by no means innocent as they make fortunes, but it affects the clubs greatly. Berlusconi can now show the world that he's sacrificing his club to show the need for higher taxes. The whole thing is so perverse and disgusting, but my opinion, based off of my research is that AC Milan will not ever come back to it's spending ways as the political/economic situation is so bad, I can't see them bouncing back any time this Decade. Expect signings like Acquilani and Montolivo, and low wages. Maybe 1 or 2 stars on the team but definitely not 4-5. The squad is very good to win Serie A, but Juventus and AS Roma are a lot better. Champions League impossible to get to even Quarterfinals with this squad but I will support them nonetheless. I guarantee no new big signings will occur for years..... RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - theaxeofpain - 08-22-2011 It seems that it's only a matter of hours for Aquilani. Here's the live coverage from Milannews. http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=59580 |
