RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 04-02-2011

For the record, I wrote Bonera, Legro, Dilac, Papa, Oddo and Janku out.

Anyhow, Luiz is Probably one of the top 10 CBs in the world. He is just having an off day against Stoke.

In my opinion that's not the point. My post was in regards to the standards we are holding defenders. Arguably, Luiz being one of the best makes it even worse that he made a mistake like this.

Oddo out.... some left back in.

I'm cool with Nesta, Thiago, Astori, Yepes, Bonera, Abate, Antonini, Zambrotta, and one of Criscito/Cissokho/Taiwo/Kolarov (names we've been linked to)?

I'm quite surprised you'd both let papastathopoulos go as he's better than Bonera and Yepes. Plus, if Nesta does retire we'll need some depth in the squad. I'd give him a chance!

IMO papastathapolous is one of worst defenders i've seen at milan since.... well gooch, lol.

But i'll rephrase, minimum a loan cause he's looked awful. Bonera is very meh but as depth, he's fine. Plays every position at a competent level, is my 5th choicer cb anyway so when you get there it's not like you're expecting baresi, maldini, nesta

Everyone will have their off day ESP after International week. Ibra had not been scoring for over a month, does that mean he is a bad striker.

No, it just means we will never find or recapture the standards we are used to. Defensively especially.

Even the so called christiano ronaldo had his own bad times, e.g against barcelona

I will admit and dont be offended La liga, EPL and Seria A are a level over the brazilian league, alot of talent is born and raised there but most of them leave to European clubs by 19-25 yrs old sometimes even younger. I'm sure milan did help groom kaka into what he was, not talent wise, but what I meant was it takes more then just talent to succeed, the team your playing for needs you to find confidence with out confidence trust me a player can be half of what they could be. Kaka broke into the team very well and impressed and I didn't say he was garbage at Sao paulo but theres always a chance of a plyer not flourishing the same in sao paulo then in milan, when your on the ucl stage and your facing lets say real madrid and your staring c.ronaldo and ozil and the likes and your in a full stadium everyones expecting you to make the difference confidence plays a big role in this. Milan seemingly has a very serene environment, which is why i said brazilians most the time succeed with us for that matter any talent should. Leonardo plays a big role in this because hes brazilian and im sure he'll make the best of ganso but we can't lose out on him. ganso is to big of a talent to let go and im 100% with good confident mind he'll be our next superstar. Him and pato should be wonderful and there chemistry will also improve for ur NT too
I read nothing in your post that lead me to think you were bashing Brazilians. Far from that, WCmilan... What I disagreed in your post was the notion(at least for me) that they were nothing before coming to Milanelo.

Look, this post I´m quoting right now, I couldn´t agree more. All your points are spot on...
Quote:also benfica signed bruno cesar for corinthians good bad? did we miss out on this? hes a cam
At first he´s a CAM, but that could not organize and offense.

I had some discussions at the old forum with bayern because he thought Bruno Cesar was better than Ganso and imo it wasn´t even close.

Regarding your question... No, we did not miss anything! Until today imo Bruno Cesar is overrated and doesn´t even know how position he wants to play...

Bro, throughout Cap, Baresi and Nesta career, I know for a fact that they made mistakes even when they are at their absolute best. I don't think you can judge a player by one game or by one mistake.

Having said that, maybe Cap and Baresi were in fact at another level of T. Silva and D. Luiz, but they are one of the best if not the best CBs at their generation respectively.

To me Bruno Cesar is the new Julio Baptista

I am not having a go at you, you have the right to say what you think, but WHEN and WHERE exactly have you seen him play? Two, three games? That one bad game vs Cesena?

And to say that he is worse than Bonera? (who as depth is...fine?).

I have to kindly disagree...

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 04-03-2011

We linked with Cahill who is valued at 20 m euros...i dont know him as i didnt watch him even one time...

Whenever i watched Lazio's Dias, i thought that he is solid defender and he is one of the reason why they fly high this season...
