Why r all of you so negative, i am sure by end of August, Mr.X will be reveal as Ballack, while other champs such as Cannavaro, Beckham, Scholes and R. Pires will arrive.

Yes but financial troubles couldn't just start in one day - with or without the court case - remember this was an appeals court actually reduced the fine. Almost certain there wasn't much chance of reducing the fine to zero.

My point is he isn't really poorer in August than he was in May so should have kept Merkel to play mid this year too.

Don't forget about Strasser... Another young midfielder we let go for the next season. He isn't too bad either, not to mention that he got kicked in the back by king Zlatan, and that makes him even more valuable. Smile

Eto said goodbye to Inter players in locker room. It is similar to Sheva with Milan, but Inter receive less money and Sneijder can't lead the team like Kaka.

commentators for real barca game were saying what a great preseason he's been having

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - russo-neri - 08-15-2011

One rumor today has us trading Zambrotta for Montolivo. We definitely have 1 fullback too may on this team. But it's risky to give up Zambrotta. His ability to play either left or right means he's first choice sub for both spots. Antonini fails too often and Oddo is a waste (aside his game winning penalty yesterday). Much better to sell oddo for peanuts than losing Zambro IMO

I agree. Zambrotta is a key squad member, he is at least reliable, opposed to Antonini and Oddo. All these variations including Cassano/Zambrotta indicate we're really unable to cough up 10 millions for Montolivo... And this puts our alleged interest in Fabregas also into question, as I don't think we could realistically considered bidding for him, with this kind of non-existent financial background.

First, I don't think we ever had a bid on Cesc. I think all the talk about Cesc to Milan was just an invention by deluded fans and exasperated by certain posters who claimed insider knowledge. Those posters are being called out/trashed on the other site and rightly so. The person on this site (gregapenny) obviously doesn't have the balls to come back here. (Or maybe he's having lunch with Galliani talking about plan B, ie Mr. Y)

Second, I don't think it is necessarily a sign that we have no money when we say 10 million is too much for Monto or Acqui. It might be that Milan mgmt simply doesn't rate either player very highly.

In any case, I am officially exhausted with Mercato. I feel like a fool for spending so much time on this site arguing who should come and who shouldn't. Just 16 more days and this silliness will be officially over. Unfortunately, it means summer is over as well...

The BEST post in this thread since the post number 4721

This guy was priced something like 25-30 mil few seasons ago. He was really impressive in Euro 2008. Kind of the ideal player to partner Prince, MVB & Flamini in the midfield. Just wondering how much he is worth now? He is a pure talent by the way!

Although Kaka back is still my dream number 1. Imagine AC Milan in UCL semi final against Barca, Madrid or Bayern. Who would you trust to be ACM's deciding factor?

The man who lives to decide these occasion:

Pato Imbrhimovic
Kaka
Prince MVB Flamini

or an over hyped fake, fragile Kaka-wanna-be kid with a mediocre future from Brazil?

Pato Ibrahimovic
Prince
Ganso MVB Flamini

I don't expect Kaka to play 30 games in the league & 16 in UCL like someone like Prince, Silva, Abate etc. ACM can play Cassano or Robinho as trequartista & still win away to say Genova, Bari etc (no disrespect), but when its high pressure game, then the flair of Kaka is what AC Milan is missing rite now. The guy single handedly carried ACM for 2 years even when injury prone after 2007 UCL win. I don't see why he can't do it again? Nesta & Inzaghi have over come severe injuries with ACM, so why not Kaka? He will be at home rite?

One more thing, for people who say Kaka would be a flop because history is not on his side like $heva case etc, well there is away the first time for something to happen new.

To hell with all other discussions, just imagine this:

One of AC Milan's all time loving sons is possibly coming home back. How can you not be happy to see him in red & black with the number 22 again? This is AC Milan we are talking about & Kaka is not even 30 yet Blush One reason why some have doubts over Kaka's return is possibly because of the fact that Kaka was the best in the world in his time at AC Milan. Maybe they just expect to see the same #1 Kaka. Let just be realistic & hand over that title to little Messi followed by Critiano, Robben, Iniesta etc. Maybe not the former #1 Kaka, but still he could be the deciding factor for ACM to go long way in the UCL.

One recent relative example: Robben was injured before the World Cup, rite? The Dutch still decided to gamble & took him to the tournament. When he returned, the Dutch just stepped up to a different class & almost...... almost won the World Cup if he had gone down in the final ....

For those who claim Ibrahimovic is the focal point of ACM's attack, I just want to warn them. Be-careful what you wish for. This guy simply can't score in the knockout stages of the UCL. Don't believe me? Check the statistics.

You don't know, we don't know about Fabregas' transfer-story before his move is official. The point is all of us here in MM only use 'I think, we think' when they talk about transfer of Fabregas. We know it when it becomes official. So, why should poster who knows nothing about Fabregas' transfer-talk judged gregapenny and made fun of him? Huh
