RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - el fre - 08-12-2011

I think that currently Cassano is a much more needed player for us than Balotelli.

Cassano's main thing is creativity and assists which is something we lack due to our weaknesses in midfield.

Pato and Robinho are players of the same type as Balotelli and we don't need one more...

In a couple of years, i'd welcome Balotelli IF he shows he can act as a grown up.

We can talk about the Milan atmosphere all day long, but in the end, the guy is a complete idiot and could be
just the opposite of what we need in our dressing room which is packed with dynamite already with guys like Ibra, Cassano, Boateng, Gattuso...etc..

If Balotelli were as good as Messi, I would say it's worth the gamble...but he isn't. Yet. Let's give him time to improve and grow up..until then, Cassano is good.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 08-12-2011

I dont think it is the atmosphere around him that causes his problems. It is more to do with himself.

He only played two coaches, Mancini and JM. You rarely see JM comes out and state a player must act more professionally.....since he shields his players well, and thats why they love him. Even if we give both the benefits of the doubts here and assume that JM does not know how to train Mario or Mario just can't understand JM straight methods, I think Mancini treat him like a son at Inter and thats why he brought him to City. You have a tough methods and a soft love methods, while both seemed not to work with Mario. Thats why I believe the problems lie inside Mario and not the environment. After all, Mario never played under someone like Fergie and Capello where it is their way or the high way.

As a fan of Milan, ofcourse I wish bringing Mario in will help him as a person thus becoming a better player. However, I don't think thats possible at all. Honestly, I think Milan is better off without Mario than with him at this moment.

Exactly Gabriel. How Mou publicly criticised him several times speaks volume. He once said “Nothing has changed. Neither the way Balotelli works nor his attitude. His effort in training is 25 per cent; if it was at 50 per cent he would be one of the best players in the world." That was then here is Mancini's latest comment "I have to speak to Mario every single day and I think maybe now I need a psychologist. I don't know why he does the things he does, except to say that he is a young guy who will eventually grow up. But I have known him since he was 17 and he is even worse now than he was then."

I agree that the serene atmosphere at Milanello might do him good, but with five strikers that we have now, I don't see any necessity of having him here even on loan.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 08-12-2011

Yeah, boring like hell.

This moment last year we were still happy with the signing of ... Sokratis Big Grin and debating about the usefulness of Boateng.

just to break the boring afternoon...

This time last there was some talk of Robinho and the Ibra rumours were there. This year there is jack.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - russo-neri - 08-12-2011

Goal also quotes an italian daily about us not going after Monto this summer. That's actually a wise thing. We should spend our money (whatever we have) on someone else like Ganso and then pick up Monto next summer (for free!) when hopefully Ambro, Gattuso and Seedorf all retire.

And finally the Cesc BS comes to an end. I'm so glad I don't have to keep hearing that there is still a chance.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 08-12-2011

Cesc to Barcelona.... what a lovely dream that was while it lasted.

I am, however, shocked we did not get anyone. I'd come in for 25 million for Hamsik. Then get Ganso. We just apparently withdrew our bid for Montolivo. If we don't do anything the rest of this mercato we're going to be a joke.

NO CHANCE of winning anything with Gattuso/MVB/Seedorf as our midfield trio.

Furthermore, if we were to get rid of Cassano & buy Balotelli, we would be Worse, period, end of story.

Am I the only one who prefer balo over cassano? posts here make me wonder why not mancini try a swap balo for cassano.
