OGC Nice full-back Youcef Atal has been pictured wearing an AC Milan shirt on Instagram amid links with a move to the club over the last few months.

Atal was mentioned as one of four targets in that report, along with Mehmet Zeki Celik of Lille, Djibril Sidibe of Monaco (on loan at Everton) and Serge Aurier of Spurs.

AC Milan are in advanced talks with the entourage of Napoli striker Dries Mertens and an announcement could arrive next week.

Mertens continues to be strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, but according to Spanish outlet TodoFichajes it is Milan who have swooped for the free transfer of the Belgium international.

not a very reliable source. however, i would welcome with wide open arms Mertens.
Also Mario Götze heavily linked, due to his great relationship with Rangnick.

RE: Summer mercato 2020 - nefremo - 05-04-2020

Not too excited about Götze. He hasn't performed like a top footballer in years now. I think it's the wrong strategy to sign someone hoping that they get back to their best (which in his case hasn't happened for multiple years for one reason or another). We have tried this strategy many times before and it's yet to work.

I'd be very happy if we signed "unknown" younger players like Rangnick has done before. As long as they are well scouted, quality and fit the plan/set up. NOT like Galliani's youngster signings based on agents' opinions only.

You are correct about Gotze, he has been constantly in degradation since leaving Bayern. Instead of getting Gotze or Madrid flop Jovic idk why Milan is not linked with someone like Hee-Chan Hwang of Salzburg who has been quite in great touch and has scored and assisted goals against teams like Napoli and Liverpool. He can be bought in San Siro for 20-25M and his contract is going to expire next year. I seriously do not want Milan to depend on 39-year-old Ibra for Centre forward role.

RE: Summer mercato 2020 - reza - 05-04-2020

All these rumours are actually a good reason to break from the past and risk someone like Rangnick. Year after year with different management we are linked to questionable transfers repeatedly. Not all turn out bad but enough of them do to make team suffer.
1.The player may be good but mostly fits the same type of unsure form or unsuitable for Milan conditions
2.Or if young with little or no past form to judge on they are not cheap.

There may be nothing wrong with the player but Jovic is probably 1. and Paqueta is 2., Silva was 2. too
