About hamsik,if we can get Gozte at the similar amount,I hope gozte move.we have boateng who is bit similar to hamsik,and boateng is getting better and better tactically.
Torres is playing manifique football right now.I think he doesn't has issues with the club any more,which means robinho is going nowhere.his fans can be relieved now.

I was thinking Montolivo in our midfield could be really interesting, as I can see him replacing Van Bommel in the side, rather than being used as a mezzala. It means he'd need to learn a new role, most critically adding a new "ruthless" element to his game to be more solid, but in that role with his ability to distribute, we would have a really interesting midfield.

You don't learn to be 'ruthless' at 28 years old or whatever age he is. That's Van Bommel's personality, as it is De Jong's, Gattuso's, Nocerino's, Flamini's, etc.
Montolivo is skillfull but not a high energy player, nor one to run all over the field making tackles, and protecting the Mezz'ale. So, I really don't like him. To me, he adds nothing. That player that you speak of is De Rossi, and he could be free at the end of this year. I would throw a ton at him to get him to come, as he is a player who scares attackers, not Montolivo.

Not only does he scare attackers, he also has extreme quality... and I think he deserves to win something by joining a bigger club.
Seriously though, I have been wanting De Rossi @ Milan for years. Should that happen, he will take us to the next level, mark my words.
p.s. + we will have the team with the biggest number of bad@sses ever - Nocerino, Cassano, Ibra, Boateng, MVB, Gattuso, De Rossi... and we can always sign Balotelli too.

This rumor seems like made up crap from the newspapers.
We don't even have room for Inzaghi to start / sub in. Why would we get Del Piero?

Maybe the term I used was incorrect, but in ruthless I didn't mean I want a destroyer like the players you listed. In my view in the Van Bommel role, a player must be good at reading the game with good anticipation, athleticism and have a good distribution to perform the basic duties of a regista. Pirlo had everything except the athleticism, which meant he offered no security in front of the defence. Van Bommel has also changed since joining Milan, as he rarely makes the cynical challenges he is known for and most of his defensive abilities now are based on reading the game and intercepting/winning 50/50 balls.
Montolivo's never been a favourite of mine, but he's definitely more athletically capable than Pirlo and therefore has potential to offer greater protection to the backline.
At 26, I also don't think he's too old to adapt his game to the role. It's not a question of telling him to completely play a different role, but rather getting him to play with more aggression and determination.

We need to replace Seedoef big time.His legs can't do it Aquilani isn't that guy or Montolivo or Hamsik.Someone who can dictate and run a game with the calmness and creativity Seedorf could and occassionaly can.
There are a few guy's but they are either not available or too expensive.It always comes down to money and we have a lack of it so will have to be smart , and althought just hear say Abidal and Del Piero are not smart buys and giving more contracts to Seedorf Yepes V.Bommel Gattusso Ambro Inzaghi Zambro also isn't smart.We could let them all go but would have a pathetic squad If we did.
I really see no way we can be on the level of a Barca or Real again.Sure over a two legged afair with great defending and smart attacking we can win like Inter did , but to consistently outplay and beat these teams or Bayern Chelsea and Utd , without a complete overhaul I can't see it happening.

As for a LB, how about Santon ? watched Newcastle play tottenham for a 2-2 draw last week...santon was on bench (as the other LB is really playing good for them right now) but came on as a 2nd half sub...which was his premier league debut and made an instant impact.....would be good if he came in a similar deal like aquilani from Lpool.
But to be realistic, all we r going to get this winter is Montolivo............
