RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Hitman - 08-11-2011

One day we are close to signing Cesc, the next he's already accepted a wage cut and close to agreeing with Barca. Nervous as fkkkkkkkkkkk here. Today is one of those days where Cesc is almost about to sign for Barca.

It was rumored that there would be a board meeting at Arsenal where they will discuss Barcelona's final offer (they offered one last night). Other rumors claim that Raiola and Ibra both phoned Cesc yesterday and seem to have convinced him about Milan. Same source also claims Raiola has been in touch with Wenger everyday keeping up to date on Barcelona's offer (possibly guaranteeing Wenger that whatever Barca will bid, we will bid higher). All depends on the will of Cesc I believe.

Where the hell is it?

Galliani and Allegri said any major signing will be announced at the end of the mercato, so probably best not to stress until then Big Grin

That is what will happen we'll know on the last day.
If Fabregas doesn't sign for Barca or play in the CL , then it could be him but he could also sign for Barca on the final day.
There really is no talk about Fabregas even considering Milan or vice versa in any British or Irish media not a comment a mumble anything.Just that City will try before the end of the window and Madrid thought about it.I even saw a couple of Malaga links on sky sports and in Thr Irish independent newspaper , but so fat nowt for Milan.
Ofcourse that means nothing but it is interesting .

If we could get a younger V.Bommel as good as he was in his prime a Cesc type player , and Boateng in midfield it would be awesome.
It's do or die now these next few weeks , so step up yellow tie and make us explode with excitement like last year.

Is Vulli a member here ? He usually brings good news in these Mercato times.

Yeah, just enjoy the rumors since before official decision made from both clubs, anything is possible.

Barca (officials, players) can say whatever they want but the fact of Fabregas to Barcelona is the agreement from Arsenal, not the offer Barca give.

Well I can't wait for ANYONE, ANYONE to come... this is starting to get irritating. And a little bit OOT, Cassano captained Italy last night???Exclamation

There is an interview with Cassano on Football Italia. Here is a quote:

Quote:Cesare Prandelli said this was Cassano’s best outing in an Azzurri jersey so far.

“I put in a good performance and I agree it was my best for Italy. I will point out I’m not finished, despite what many have said about me, even if I have 2-3kg too many. When I’m going well, everyone praises me, but when things go badly there are sooooo many who say I’m finished.”

I hope we keep him despite the rumors. He deserves a full season.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Nalx - 08-11-2011

We're not linked with any striker even after Palo's departure and five strikers are ideal IMO. In a way, I think his being the 4th choice is a good thing for Cassano, and until now, seems to motivate him when given a chance especially with Italy NT. And acknowledging of 2-3kg overweight is also a sign of adulthood that we rarely saw in the past. If he can keep it up then we're set up front.

In midfield, contrary to many others here, I don't feel the least bit anxious. It's not complacency setting in, mind you, but I think it's unrealistic for Berlu to fund another marquee signing after the sentence. I never thought I would be able to say this, but Aquilani/Montolivo is enough for me, at least until the next mercato.

Only if Ganso comes in January.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 08-11-2011

With Cassano's pass, even Robinho can score Big Grin

Aqui/Monty is enough for me, too, as I want 2 stars more than the CL. But if a Rossoneri wants CL, he knows that a player like Fabregas, Hamsik, Modric, Jovetic,... is needed.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 08-11-2011

It is not an insult to Italy to say they beat the Spainish B team in a friendly, since they are still more talented than a lot of National teams.

As for signing at the end of August. Well, if they had been working on a deal since Jan and from the start of June had been saying Mr. X will come in late August, do you think they already know who they want to sign or already signed or just their stall tactics for bargain comes August.

Ganso will be ready for Europa Cup, hahaha. For real, I wrote it yesterday, there is a great chane that Milan will end up in the group of Death. If Mr. X ended up being just having Cassano and MVB in CL, Milan better hope Milanlab works.

Or, if no bargain deal comes by the end of August, then they'll say that Raiola is working on the big signing but he needs more time. A year from now and he should be able to complete it... Smile
