RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Jokka - 11-19-2014

Now Mancini's back at Inter watch Puppet Pippo get schooled in the derby. Mancini's a world class coach who's won trophies in every country he's managed. Whenever he's not won, he usually finished runner up which is commendable. Meanwhile Puppet Pippo's shown he has absolutely no clue what he's doing. He plays the wrong formations, players out of position, no tactical movements and horrible substitutions. Despite this, he continues blabbering inappropriate statements about winning trophies and becoming Milan's Alex Ferguson DevilolDevilolFacepalm

Checkout the difference in intelligence/class between Mancini/Puppet Pippo when questioned about Alex Ferguson...

Puppet Pippo: "The last time the President was at Milanello, he said he would like me to be the Coach for the next two decades.”

“Therefore I say that my dream is to become the [Alex] Ferguson of Milan, because this shirt has given me everything, this club understands me."

Mancini: “I don’t think we should look too far into the future, as we should remain focused on the present. Ferguson was at Manchester United for 27 years and I don’t think I can do that! It’s a different football, anyway."

Read some depressing news today...apparently Juve's interested in signing Cristante in January. Cristante's barely played and they're willing to offer Isla/Giovinco. Can't blame Allegri really, after all he played Bryan more than anyone. So that's another great young talent Juve will acquire alongside Coman, Pogba, Morata, Berardi, Zaza, Gabbiadini Devilol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this the link you posted?

If so, Mastour is #10, while Locatelli is #8 (alongside Modic in #5). All names are very highly rated though, you're right. De Santis in defence looked to have a good game though I'm still hesitant about his seeming lack of pace (there are a couple of examples in the video). The GK (who wasn't Donnaruma I believe) also looked pretty good.

Its not depressing. He looked good could be good but is nothing special. He wanted to leave this summer and can't get a minute on the pitch. While I agree with most points you make , its getting a bit tedious how EVERYTHING Juve do is great when its not.Coman has a a few good minutes he has not established himself to even 10% of what Pogba did and remains to be seen if he does at all.

Zaza isnt a Juve player they own none of him. They have a buy back option for June 2015 at 15m they may or may not use it.
Berardi is going to a victim of Tevez Llorente and Juves forwards it'll be years before he goes back if he does at all.As he's co-owned and they must be resolved next summer.Morata if he explodes can automatically go back to Real for 25m if the trigger that,

Everything isn't all rosy at Juve it looks that way because Milan are shite.

And you're Puppet Pippo ...what did you expect after Seedorf stating the obvious albeit in a silly manner , Berlu was always going to hire a yes man.

Disagree on Cristante. He put up impressive numbers and played great when given the chance. Also, he won many MVP awards and lots of calcio journalists have said Milan made a mistake selling him. Benfica's also a club with excellent scouting so know what they're doing.

Re Juve, I'm half serious and half doing it for kicks. But honestly their entire management's on another level compared to us. Look at where they are now compared to us when you consider we won CL 7 years ago whilst they were playing Serie B! Not only do they own their own stadium but have a squad full of very good/world class players. They spend money on transfers and have acquired shares in the worlds top young talent.

Now that Allegri's switched formation expect Coman to get more playing time. Don't forget he also started at Juve a year younger than Pogba did. Also, if Zaza continues performing I've no doubt Juve will pay the transfer fee.

Berardi will definitely end up at Juve sooner tather than later. No way in hell Juve let's a super talent like that slip away. Besides, with Allegri's new formation there's space for him.

Morata I agree is a difficult situation but worst case scenario Juve make a profit on him. However, he may decide to stay at Juve if Real buys another Galactico in his position.

Meanwhile we have a squad full of fodders/free transfer trash/unwanted rejects and don't own a stadium. We also can't spend $1 without selling somebody of equal value first Devilol We are midtable Bbilan and should be proud Devilol

RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - ACMILAN1983 - 11-19-2014

Jokka thanks for clarifying on the video. If you could put up the other video again I would appreciate it. On Modic, I've not seen a huge amount of him, mostly just bits here and there. I was generally more impressed with Piccinocchi before he got injured. On Donnarumma I said it wasn't him in my post, I just didn't know who this other guy was. On De Santis, I do consider him a very promising defender and I like how he can move the ball out of defence, but it's moments where he seems to get beat by pace that worry me. An example in the highlights I posted are at the 3 minute mark. It might be that his body's not fully developed and so coordination isn't always there, but essentially I've noticed a few times where he appears to lack recovery speed when attacked 1 on 1. I might be wrong not seeing enough of him, but it's something I've just noticed.

Jay, I agree about Juve not really being an example right now, although obviously they still seem to be much better managed than Milan. I've been very complimentary on their management for a few years, but in the past 12 months they've made little progress. I also think that's where issues with Conte came, despite denials. I do disagree on Cristante, I do think he was a very unique talent. It's kind of sad to consider where his career is right now though, I do wonder what's going on at Benfica (I know Rui Costa personally wanted him there).

On this Pippo and Mancini debate. Pippo until now is yet to convince me he's the right man for the job. His recent Ferguson comment was also odd imo, as it only adds more pressure on him. However, there is no way in hell I would describe Mancini as a world class coach. For me, he's mediocre at best, having had results in places where the odds were greatly stacked in his favour and is more reputation than talent imo. He's a very average tactician, a terrible man manager and quite frankly appears to have a screw loose in the head.

RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - reza - 11-19-2014

A bit more Sneijder rumours, not sure where he fits with Pippo's thinking but I guess if it happens we will see...

I do agree as in I think Berardi will be at Juve. They are in a better position , far better.
On Cristante he is a talented young player but ofcourse nothing is certain. But the fact is he doesnt even have 5 full senior games under his belt , he's played 7 games but doesnt have 7 full games. The hype on him is a bit overrated IMO.I would of preferred to keep him and use him over Essien Muntari Poli or the dire Saponara. He would of gotten more time this season , but with frustration and not wanting to stay he decided to move and move he did.He has not done well but hes young new country new club is isnt easy. We'll see in 3/4 years if it was a horrible mistake.

On Milan Ive pretty much given up.The rumours of good players will be there , but we'll end up with whoevers free or super cheap.Pippo is a puppet which is why after horrendous results theres been no criticism.Until B dies or sells we'll remain like this.

He's a good prospect nothing more yet , he's done nothing to make me think he's unique. Now Im not suggesting hes poor or average. But there are other players in his position in that 18-21 range that are far better.I do think he's been overhyped .But I also think he'll get better and be a valuable player to whatever team he is at.I just think after the amount of gametime he has he get way overblown as a talent.Ive seen some fans say he's the best young mid in Europe...he's not , not even close.

Yep that's my thinking exactly. Like I said, ignore ALL transfer rumours regarding players that cost MONEY. We won't be buying anyone unless we sell somebody of equal value first. Given we've barely got any saleable assets left don't expect anything over 5m+. Just keep focussing on the free transfer list and club drama's involving bad boys like Taarabt. Obviously there are some very good free transfer options like Khedira or Gignac but Galliani's too dumb to seal those deals. He'll probably ask them to pay the club to take them on Devilol

Puppet Pippo on Montolivo "His recovery will be our best buy."

Berlusconi/Galliani's hands so far up Puppet Pippo's backsde he's starting to talk like them! Puppet Pippo deserves his own little segment on The Muppets! DevilolDevilol

RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Jay Crisp - 11-20-2014

Schar , Uchida , Khedira , Gignac , Ayew , Konoplyanka , Giovinco , Kaboul , Milner , Vlaar , Lichsteiner , Dani Alves , Kramaric are all out of contract this summer. Now Im not suggesting sign them all.but those are some of the better free players , I bet we dont try for 1 of them.

Id take Schar Uchida Khedira Konoplyanka Kramaric in a heartbeat
