If Cassano has to leave (I don't want he leaves, he is our super sub with low wage, happy or at least not unhappy playing sub's role, still has some years ahead him), I choose Drogba over Adebayor although Adebayor is significantly younger than Drogba.

We are missing the match winner, player who can decide the game with a single goal. Player like Shevchenko, Inzaghi in their prime age. Drogba is old but his physique IMO allows him to play for 1-3 years more and he could be also our decider coming from bench (Inzaghi's role in the last 3-4 years). The problem with Drogba should be his wage, transfer fee and our new policy that we give only 1 year contract for players who are or over 30 years old.

Ummmm what is Ibrahimovic & Pato? If they're not match winners than who is? That's not the problem AT ALL for us. We lack creativity and dynamism in Midfield. Someone who can create and link defense with attack. Boateng, Gattuso, Van Bommel have tons of energy but not scorers, decisive passers, or players with technical ability to do something beautiful so our "Match Winners" can actually be of use. ie/Pirlo

They are not yet. Ibrahimovic was indeed very importan player for us but he is not yet a decider in Europe. Same with Pato. We don't have player in caliber of a decider who does utilize his chance and decide the game from it. In the Caro era, we had Shevchenko, Kaka and Inzaghi (plus sometime Seedorf when he played behind striker). Now we don't have such player. I do hope Pato will be that kind of player but until now he is not yet there.

Your speaking of Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi. Maybe Tevez, Eto'o, and Drogba (in past).

There are VERY few of those types of players and the ones we had like that got old and/or left (Kaka, Inzaghi, Sheva).

The teams with those players will not give them up. Ibrahimovic has NEVER been good in Europe and that's been a problem. If he wants to win the CL he will need to carry a team to do it. With Robinho, Cassano, Ibra, Inzaghi, & Pato, I wouldn't think we would need to improve that area, but rather the midfield with Gattuso, Ambro, Seedorf, etc.

Not only Ronaldo and Messi. There are many players. Some of them are Rooney, Robben and Fabregas.

We definitely need midfielder, no one can deny it. What I mean is regarding the transfer of Cassano, the rumor of Drogba and the options (if exist) between Droba and Adebayor. Cassano could be that kind of player, that's why I don't want the leave us but if he has to, I want a player who could be the match winner, the decider, which I think is Drogba, not Adebayor.

The word match-decider reminds me of CL Big Grin Drogba's record in CL is impressive, but he hasn't win it Sagrin He is a king in Chelsea with full of support from every player. In Milan, I don't think he could have that because there is Ibra.

I want Adebayor mainly for Serie A, not really for CL though he can help.

An attacking trio of:

------------Boateng-------------
----Ibra--------------Ade-------

is the most badass one in the world. They can grin out every point in the matches against teams weaker than us.

Adebayor possesses all the football qualities Drogba has and he is 6 years younger. He only lacks the full support Drogba has been giving in Chelsea. IMO, Ade has better work rate than Drogba, and he plays in a larger area than the Ivorian who is a pure SC. I still remember he carried Togo NT to WC2006 (scored 11 goals) and was more or less the only one who actually played for his team in Germany. We would buy a 4th striker if Cassano left, and Ade would be more ready to accept that than Drogba.

IMO, Milan still need a towering striker. Ibra is a tower, but he is not a target man. His heading is not very good, he doesn't often win in one-on-one with keeper and he is not fast.

In conclusion, we should sign a target man for 4th striker IF Cassano leaves.

Breaking News:

Inter Swoop for Hernanes

Gilardino to Genoa "very close"

After capturing Maarten Steklenberg & Erik Lamela, Roma make a move for Porto's Fernando

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Warro Bantan - 08-09-2011

I cannot believe that we still think Fabregas can come to Milan! Stranger things have happened I'm sure, but I don't think this is one of them.

Drogba coming (after the declarations of a contract extension) is also up there in the top 5 incredible transfers of all time (I guess Ibra's arrival was up there....but I can't see a repeat this silly season of last year's transfer heroics)

Montolivo/Aquilani this summer, with Ganso in Jan is what I think will happen.

The bold part is an OK transfer season (good one when Ganso comes) but still releasing Pirlo and get Montolivo/Aqualiani as his replacement is a step back for Milan. What both players can offer more than Pirlo is they are younger (Aqualani probably is better defensively but not a big thing since what count most is the offensive ability).

It's quite strange that Milan is not interested in Hernanes, since last year there were dozens of articles reporting that we are going to sign him.

Anyway, with high-profile midfielders set to change clubs in Serie A (Pastore, Sneijder, Hernanes), it would be a bit disappointing for Milan to end up with only a Montolivo or Aquilani type of signing...
