RE: Summer mercato 2012 - xudong - 08-01-2012 (08-01-2012, 12:20 PM)ACMILAN1983 Wrote: Thinking slightly further ahead, hopefully that means that when Mexes is gone in a couple of years time, then Albertazzi will be ready to take his place in the squad, leaving us with a group of talented young CBs all ready to fight for a first team spot. Speaking of Albertazzi, I don't think we could count him in Milan's future. It is not him, but it does seem that Milan has once again written him off. How Milan treats youngster is simply frustrating. We spent a lot of money on them yet it never bears any fruit, in any aspect. Can you believe that Albertazzi cost Milan 2M on transfer fee alone when he was only 17? We bought half his right for 1M from Bologna when he was only 16, and a year later, we bought the other half for another 1M. He has played zero game for Milan, and I almost forgot about him until this summer when he appeared against Shalke04. When I thought that he was very decent and probably should (finally) deserve a chance with the team, he is now loaned to Hellas Verona. Verona also has an option to co-own after the loan. I don't remember exactly the loan fee, but I believe it is well below 1M, if at all. There is simply no sense behind this kind of "business". Milan lost talent, lost money, and lost respect. I think Brazil is best team in competition, but they have some flaws. I watched the game against Belarus, and I thought Neymar was really good. To me, he's so explosive and quick, like Messi. He was fouled so much because he was beating people easily. I do have my doubts about him in Europe, as he's so skinny, but if he gets a bit stronger (No need to do what Pato did), he will be a great, great, player. Good thing Gabriel got to start, and a clean sheet too ![]() Also, we're now linked with this guy Alexis Rolin. He's from Uruguay. Do you know anything about him? Have you seen him in Copa Libertadores? RE: Summer mercato 2012 - am I Milan enough? - 08-02-2012 Moratti finally found investor for Merda. The Chinese investors will own 15% share of the club and the agreement includes building new stadium in 2015! To be upset or not? Mano Menezes did two HUGE mistakes with the call for the Olympics that could cost the title. Bring Hulk and not another over-20 center back is the first... To make it even worse, he called 2 young CB´s that have no business in a Brazil NT. Juan(less) and Bruno Uvini are terrible, period! Of course they can improve with time since most of the defenders are late bloomers, but I still can´t digest how theses two, after the terrible S. America and World Cup under-20, can be called for the Olympics. A team with good forwards, don´t even need to be great, will expose the terrible CB Juan is... if Uvini is playing even more. The second was not testing the reserve GK before the competition, to see if the guy can play for Brazil NT. Here from Brazil I can see in Neto eyes how nervous he is... It´s not because he´s at Milan and I hyped him a lot, but you just can sense the difference in Gabriel performance today. NZ did not test him a lot, no doubt, but the young man is so composed and cold blooded... he just have that world class GK demeanor... and keep in mind he was inactive for a looonnnng period. I think if given a chance, he will fight for the second GK spot at Milan. Regarding Neymar, he has it all!!! I agree he´s skinny, but is thick... Neymar is getting muscled but in a good way, and not the madness Milan did with Pato. Plus, Neymar´s game style does not ask for a strong body, quite the contrary... Regardin the Rolin guy, I can´t remember of him... how old is this player? Where he plays? I can´t deny I start to tremble when I see Galliani/Braida linked with an unknown Uruguayan... We won't have our own stadia and we still have to pay rental to use the San Siro. Thats a double loss of income if you ask me. Even if we manage to buy up the ownership of the San Siro (long shot if you ask me, Berlu wouldn't do it), what we would have is a historical stadia in dire need of repairing, rennovating, upgrading and upkeeping. Costs could be astronomical. All the while Merda get a shiney new stadia AND foreign investment! Where's our Oil-rich sugar daddy???
RE: Summer mercato 2012 - GeoTav - 08-02-2012 Didac Vila in Valencia : it's not done !! It seems the young Spanish didn't pass the medical tests ... That means the transfer is blocked now. Is Valencia doing us what we did with Cissokho ? ![]() PS : Conte suspended for 3 months ? If that's the case, we won't be the only club to have some "hard times" (for different reasons obviously) ... RE: Summer mercato 2012 - WCmilan - 08-02-2012 Neymar IMO is beginning to silence any critics. People, I myself didn't thin he'd make vast improvements but he is, I don't think he needs to gain much muscle if any.. Messi isnt muscular but still won't be taken down because by the time a tackle comes in he's a meter in front or to the side of a defender, Neymar has similar acceleration. His dribbling is fantastic but I think he should keep it simpler because ability wise he has it all to be the or one of the best but his mentality still needs grooming. On moratti and those Asian investors...all I can say is brilliant. I dont care who invests in Milan as long as they own 49% or under and have money I'm happy, as long as the berlusconi family is somehow involved to keep our traditions. A new stadium would be great along with our youth project I have high hopes for the direction were going in. Berlusconi in his most recent interview said he would be open to foreign investors if it would aid the team so I'm sure things are going on that we don't know about. That Arab guy may still be in the mix the sheikh guy what happened to that?? RE: Summer mercato 2012 - Revolver - 08-02-2012 I think that 6-7 million for Yanga-Mbiwa is not enough. He's not unknown. He apparently was the best defender in Ligue 1 last year, and from everything I've heard about him, he's a great defender. And let's be honest, for someone who doesn't follow Serie A, Thiago Silva may be unknown too, because if judged by his displays in CL alone, no-one would think he's the best defender nowdays, not even close. In fact, judging solely on this year's CL displays by T. Silva, one may think that Nesta is still a better defender. Comparisons with Montolivo cannot be made, because we're talking about one player who just had a fantastic season and he's just 23, and the other player who had a fantastic season three years ago, followed by two bad-to-average seasons, and yet he's 26 last year. What I'm trying to say is, Yanga-Mbiwa is already a well established defender, and with this miserable offer, we could only wait for him to be free, and hope that on-one will take him, what will surely happen if he continues with his form until January. Montpellier's president is right; Galliani has just sold the best defender in Italy for over 40M, and now wants to get the best defender in France for peanuts. :S RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ACMILAN1983 - 08-02-2012 (08-01-2012, 07:06 PM)xudong Wrote: Speaking of Albertazzi, I don't think we could count him in Milan's future. It is not him, but it does seem that Milan has once again written him off. I'm not that upset about the deal, as I see it as giving Verona incentive to make him better. Co-ownership means that they should be aiming to give him games to increase his value, which they wouldn't do with just a loan. We'd spend extra to get him back, but at least we'd be in the knowledge that the money was used to help him get game time to develop. In this respect, I think we can view this as an investment in the player to get him more development. I don't think the club have given up on him though, it would be stupid after the recent Shalke match. However, I wouldn't say he's unknown, as I've been hearing really great things about Rolin over the past year amongst many journalists who follow South American football and he sounds like a massive talent. Unfortunately I didn't really see much of Uruguay in the Olympics to get any ideas about him, plus they were really bad anyway. I did see his name linked to us the other day at Milannews, which is why I presume Elmago asked about him. Also, you'll be disappointed to hear that we've also been linked to Bruno Uvini in the past few weeks. |
