Don't get me wrong, but how much lower Milan can go with the new buyer? If Silvio continued the path that have taken us the latest years, we could get relegated ourselves! I would prefer also to have a sole investor, something like Abramovic, but i assume that none wanted to step up for us or that Silvio wanted too much to give the club (i dont know how much PSG or Man.City or Chelsea costed to be bought)
I understand that people are sceptical, but for me it sounds a better deal of what we had the last years. Hope the best

Yeah it's normal that the fans are sceptical. I think it's important to remember who we are though. We're not like QPR (my local club these days, actually), Racing Santander, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, etc. We're bigger than clubs like PSG, Man City, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Inter.
We are A.C. Milan, a truly massive club and a famous international brand. We've won 7 Champions League trophies and a formidable total of 18 international trophies, in addition to 18 scudetti. We are simply an institution in world football.
I understand that at this time, we're all a bit pessimistic about the future of the club, but it's time to start remembering who we really are. I really, seriously doubt that anyone would buy a club like Milan without having some serious ambitions for the future. The club is too big for that, the investment that the buyer will have to make is too big, and while it is possible to buy a small Spanish or English club, fuck them over for a quick profit and then leave, you can't possibly get away with that shit at Milan. Comparing it to the world of business, it would be like buying a company like Sony and running it into the ground to make a quick buck. It's just not something you do.

Doyen have players like Mangala Kondogbia Barbosa Brahimi.But cant just put them in Milan.
Felipe Anderson and Falcao are not owned by Doyen anymore IIRC.It wouls be a shame if they brought players to Milan then sold them away after a year or 2 when theyve had good exposure.
I still dont think this sale will be concluded before June at the least (be it sold or not) there are elections coming up and Berlu is a manipulator.I wouldnt be shocked at all if he didnt sell.But Im hoping he does.
€70 - €100m transfer kitty.Interesting while it certainly wont bring in established world class players , it could bring in 3/4 very very good players that we need badly.
As for who I have no idea.If we dont get rid of Agazzi Zapata/Rami Zaccardo Mexes Muntari Pazzo Cerci along with the already leaving DeJong V.Ginkel then it will be bad.Saponara is leaving as Empoli will use the €4m buy out option they have on him and plan to sell him to Napoli.
There are still some very good options for free like Schaar Uchida Khedira to name a few getting those and using the "€70-€100m" could see us bounce back quickly.I hqve my doubts though.

That is just rubbish that Mr. Bee is going to make a football manager investment. We have no option to buy something that is world class, because of Milan bad finance and that Fifa Fair Play propably also will give us a fine in the coming years, because we are to far away from the targets Fifa Fair Play have in their regulation.
So please - don´t believe a new owner whoever it will be, suddenly just will invest 100 of millions in new players. It is not possible anymore since Fifa Fair Play came and we need to follow the rules or we will get in even deeper shit. PSG already gave received a fine for 60 million euro´s - so their CL adventure will be very near 0, if we look what they have earned in CL and then have to pay the fine

lancelot, good to see you post again. If nothing else, this whole situation has increased forum activity!
aim, you've made some really good points, but I do think based on your posts you might be in a bit of a panic about the sale. Please don't take that as offensive, but it's like Bee's already owner and destroying the club when I read your posts. I really do understand the fears, but hey, we have no control over what's going on and what will happen, so let's just relax and see how things play out first. As lancelot said, it's not going to be worse than the situation in the past few years.
Anyway, silfersd raised a great question in the mercato thread:

Basically it's passion, PR or profit. Bear in mind Berlusconi when buying Milan bought it as a PR/Political tool, not out of passion. Before that, he wanted Inter (who he used to support), but failed.
As for Bee's group, they're intention is clearly PR. The Arab investors will be following the initiative of Sheikh Mansour and building the public profile globally. The Chinese bank are run by the state, who themselves are making extreme pushes to develop the sport in China. Bee himself has been involved in initiatives (e.g. WLS) and seems to want to make himself a figure in the sport.
I've not included Doyen as they aren't viewed to be an investor, but a partner. They are in the game for profit and no doubt that's what they'll want with Milan, but I'm waiting to understand their role better before I can give any opinion.
Anyway, as controversial as it might be the situation feels like the Glazers buying United to me. I'm not saying it'll be the same, but I think the investors see the potential in the Milan brand (which despite failures on the pitch has seen growth) and will look to take advantage of that. How they go about that is up in air, but I can imagine it might not be popular in the short term. Talks of investing 70-100m this summer seem nice and it might happen, but I doubt every decision they make will be popular, because frankly as I said before this isn't likely to be a passion project.
If they're as ruthless as the Glazers, then expect decisions which will be potentially damaging to the club. The Glazers took over United and then put the club in massive debt by having them pay the interest on a loan they took to buy the club. This is something Hasan raised as an issue a couple of pages back and it's understandable that it's a major concern for stakeholders in the club and those like us with personal attachment to the club.
There's another reason I compare the situation to the Glazers and that's the news that the 49% the Berlusconis own should the deal go through will be put on the stock exchange in a year. That's something the Glazers have been doing with United and they've made a lot of money out of it.
All that said and comparing this situation to the Glazers might appear negative, but it's not necessarily all bad. Under the Glazers for 10 years, United have found themselves in an interesting position. As a brand, they've seen massive growth as a business. When the Glazers took over they bought the club for 750m and it's now worth over 2 billion. The club is now making more money than ever (even when the Glazers take their cut) and it's been well advertised that they can now spend huge sums of money in the market, out of their own pocket. That club, despite failures on the pitch, is self sufficient and operating as a business, making a profit. On the pitch it's been less impressive, though under Ferguson they were still performing and were winning. Now it's a different picture, as they've spent amounts most dream of under Moyes and Van Gaal, yet they've struggled. However, that surely comes down to those who decide the sporting project there, not the businessmen. At Milan, that responsibility will fall with the coach, players and those who are likely to be brought in as part of the new management, such as Maldini and Lippi being rumoured.
As always these are just some thoughts and I don't claim to or know if this is actually the case.

Like the deal says : 70-100 M will be invested,but not to buy players which will will remain in Milan for like 10 years and bring club back to the roads of glory. They will buy players which they can sell after 2-3 years for much higher price.Some of those players will be success,some will be failure. Part of those money they will take back to cover their initial expenses,part will be invested into new players and circle will continue to happen all over again. In the future so big injections of cash(70-100m) will not happen. With that tactic Milan will never be able to rise to the roof of Europe again.We'll be something like,for example,Porto.

I know i havent been here lately, many things changed in rl since i joined here over a decade ago, but now with Tapatalk and my Z2, i will be again a regular here
From what i see, Silvio decided not to sell the majority of the club, maybe because of the elections soon to be held in Italy. Hope that despite the obvious reason, he will still be able to spend and make with whatever other help he may have (from Bee for example) our Milan again great. I am so pissed to see teams that in the past we would not even mention them in our posts, mock our great Milan.

Chelsea costed £60m for initial takeover,and M.City £120m,PSG i don't know either ,but after that owners spent 2 billions(Chelsea) and 1 billion (M.City-£350m for debt),so,in spite of that,they maybe would pay more for initial takeover for the club where they would have less further expenses,or which have greater reputation.
But,for me,main question is not how much lower club can go,but how much club can improve under new owner.
Situation at this moment is far,far away from good,but if you would forced to make a choice - do you want ACMilan to struggle(even in relegation battle) few years more and than eventually had chance to go back to the top,or to immediately became average club with no chance to gain any trophy in next 50 years,what would you choose?

In my opinion: Berlusconi back to the top in few years is as much speculation as Bee keeping it average forever.
As for a Chelsea type owner, like I said before, if he existed he would have come forward not only already but before Bee. Because Berlusconi has those types of friends in high places, if any of them were interested they would have jumped to the front of queue as soon as Berlusconi hinted at a sale.
EDIT: I mean a few years ago there was even a rumour of Putin himself being a possible major shareholder. Those kind of people with egos and money would have been at the forefront this year if they were truly interested.
