RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Kaka1899 - 10-09-2011 Braida is allegedly in Brazil watching Leandro Damião of Internacional. I have not seen much RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - will4li - 10-10-2011 Chinese media here says benfica's javi garcia hints a milan offer, they presume it's about 8-12 mln. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Hitman - 10-10-2011 braida musta gone to brazil 10 times in last 3 years and come back with that RB that I can't even remember his name anyway.. oh yeh and Grimi from Argentina.... and the Uruguayan from last year who I also forgot....lol Braida what a joke RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - ElMago99 - 10-10-2011 Can anyone tell me who Braida is? I thought Galliani was in charge of transfers. Braida is obviously a scout, I know that, but he sucks. MilanLab & Braida seem from what I've read around the internet to be 2 disasters that Milan won't own up to. Did Braida take Leonardo's job? Leo had done some great transfers, recommended more, and has done well so far with PSG. Anyways, going to games in Brazil, Argentina, or anywhere else means absolutely nothing if you don't have any money to buy the players in those games. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Hitman - 10-10-2011 (10-07-2011, 04:36 AM)k7r Wrote: De rossi just said there is a chance that he may leave Roma on a bosman in June2012....as the agreement is not to be reached with Roma.....he wants to play in italy for the next 5 years at the least...but he has also stated that it might be difficult for him to join another italian club ...QUITE CONTRADICTORY STATEMENTS from him.... Contradictory statements show that a person is in doubt and is unsure of what to do... it could be that DDR is trying to be free for other teams to afford him - that's kind of harsh to Roma... almost exactly what Montolivo is doing... however signing players like this is the way forward.... We are b--eginning to sign Captains of teams and big personality players such as Cassano, Robinho, Ibra, MVB, Mexes, Montolivo and the latest name we are linked with is DDR. This is the right way forward.... Reminds me of how Barca used to buy players a few years ago: Giuly, Henry, Alves, Ibra, Deco.... The difference is we are going for bargains and they were spending the cash and buying players whilst at the top of their game. I agree that Khedira won't come, he is not needed..however I think MvB's performance has dropped sooo much compared to last year. I regret letting Strasser and especially Merkel go in a season like this - he would have been incredibly useful. Despite what El Shaarawy is showing in training, and even though he scored a good goal a few weeks ago, he will not have any impact on on Milan this season -- he is too young to handle the responsibility and there are many other players ahead of him.... Merkel would have been great... He can already play at a higher level than some players like Urby/Nocerino and even Aquilani. Noorgard, I thought we had already sealed him up, but I am unsure. Haven't read anything about Salamon. I know we are being linked with Damiao and Oscar in Brazil...Damiao is a good attacker that plays for Inter..if we really want Damiao - then it means we will sell Ibra or Pato. We cannot fit all those players together. I don't think we should go for him though, if we are to get a striker it should either be Balotelli or another Milanista - G. Rossi... If Pato's sold - Rossi, if Ibra - Balotelli....... We also have a Non-EU spot available for January btw.... my hope is for Lucas, but my bet would be Ganso. Braida is obviously a scout, I know that, but he sucks. MilanLab & Braida seem from what I've read around the internet to be 2 disasters that Milan won't own up to. Just like Galliani, Braida has been with Milan as a director since the first day of Berlu's reign so whatever that this club has achieved ever since he deserves just as much recognition that the other two get. The way I see it they work more like a triumvirate. Berlu, as the owner, has the final word, but that doesn't mean he never lets Galliani/Braida do anything that's against his wish. Galliani's persuading Leonardo to become our coach, I think, is the example. Technically he's our director of sport, whatever that means. Unlike B&G who love to take the center stage, he works mainly from behind the screen. He flew here, there, and everywhere, scouting players, sealing deals, etc, but none of these Grimis would happen without the other two's approval. Does that mean he's a bad scout? Heck, every manager/director makes big mistakes, Fergie, Mourinho, Moggi, you name it. Is Braida a good scout then? Well, let's take a stroll down memory lane, shall we? One day he travelled to Marseille to scout Alen Boksic. Back home our Boban got injured. So Braida came up to Capello and Galliani, saying he knew exactly what we need: a relatively unknown French center back, Desailly. Can you imagine that? Our playmaker was injured and he proposed a CB to solve the problem? But he talked Capello and Galliani into it, and we eventually bought Desailly but instead of as a CB, put him on the center of the field. The rest, it's said, is history. RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - ElMago99 - 10-10-2011 I just went to Greece for vacation and flew into Athens the day Croatian Football Team flew it and I met Kranjcar and some other players. My wife who is Croatian took a picture with this guy, and I took a picture of another guy (I think Stipe Pletikosa). Can anyone tell me who the guy I took picture of is? I was very embarrassed to not know who he is. Thanks! ![]()
