They remain confident that the necessary funds to keep the wages paid will arrive by this new deadline.
There is another issue on the horizon, as the total sum to be paid in order to balance the books by June 30 is €37.4m.

The club (mainly Fassone) are set to meet UEFA today regarding FFP sanctions.
I must admit I was initially in favour of FFP and to an extent still am, but think it needs a full review with changes implemented. Yonghong Li and his financial situation aside, if a club is taken over by new ownership who want to invest in the club to make them competitive, FFP makes it very difficult for that to happen. From a business perspective it's too restrictive and in the case of our example, it's actively preventing the club from investing for long term competitiveness, making it significantly harder and almost impossible to dream of reaching the levels of those who invested heavily or initiated their success before FFP was introduced, implemented or fully enforced.
FFP was meant to help ensure financial security of clubs and bring a little parity in competition. However, in its current state it's resticting investments into clubs and building a bigger divide between the clubs at the very top and the rest.

FFP is a nice idea, but implementing such an idea in Europe is very challenging. European countries all have different labor laws and are generally in favor of protecting employees at all cost. Trying to come up with a system where it is fair for all the teams from all countries and restricts the earning potential of players is almost impossible in that environment.

Milan have been granted a UEFA licence to compete in next season’s Europa League, indicating a relatively lenient Financial Fair Play sanction.

According to the latest reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, UEFA will fine AC Milan €15-20 million as a punishment for their failure to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
