RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 07-19-2011 Inter really has no future though .. They have more elderly players then we did at our worst - materazzi, cordova, zanetti, cesar, cambiasso, lucio, stankovic are all nearing the end or past there prime.. and those players were big for everything they've won, eto'o is not exactly young either but he is still a great player so i didnt include him in that list, even maicon is half the player he used to be.. lucio suprisingly is still quite solid. i think it'll be hard for inter to rebuild, if iw as them i would sell sneijder because god knows if he wont preform next season and that's another player like maicon whos value will drop by quite a lot , then they wont have much to sell to buy.. and budget wise there not the richest of clubs either RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 07-19-2011 It's only money and since all governments are printing so much of it nowadays (idiots), we may as well spend it while it's worth something. I say Fabregas & Schweinsteiger ![]() In all seriousness, I think we will see (hope we will see) 1 great midfielder. I think Milan is either deceiving everyone or they have a few possible choices and have not secured anything yet (Fabregas, Ganso, Montolivo, Pastore, Hamsik, etc) Any speculation you read is well,,, speculation. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - fLame - 07-19-2011 Welcome back M.O.I.! In regards to the Inter's dooms day talk - I wouldn't be so swift making conclusions. Writing off opponents is the biggest mistake one cane make. So, for our own benefit I would still take them very very seriously. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACMILAN1983 - 07-19-2011 Welcome back to MM MOI ![]() (07-18-2011, 07:39 PM)WCmilan Wrote: That guy Lucas really impressed me, the commentators were calling him lucas silva, is that that marcelinho guy? yep, Lucas Marcelinho, Lucas Moura and Lucas Silva are all the same guy. ![]() (07-18-2011, 11:39 PM)mrki Wrote: Hi MM friends Technically speaking, Montolivo is a really good player, but i'm yet to see a coach who gets the very best out of him consistently. That said, I don't really remember him working under any great coaches (Prandelli's the best probably), which may have made him suffer. If he comes, I only hope Allegri can get the best out of him. (07-19-2011, 08:52 AM)fLame Wrote: Welcome back M.O.I.! Inter have lots of rumours around them, but they still have all their players and Gasperini isn't a coach to ignore. Unlike Benitez, he's a more likeable personality and unlike Leo, he tactically astute and well balanced. If there's one thing which will make Inter click this year, imo it's Gasperini. That said there are still questionmarks whether Gasperini's the right man. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 07-19-2011 Really disagree about Montolivo, Dev, as he is a solid player and nothing more. I really doubt he could add anything to the current Milan lineup beside squad depth. If that's the case, then Milan should have kept Merkel and play him instead. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 07-19-2011 Rumor: Milan offer 5.5M plus Paloschi for Montolivo. Fans: No Montolivo, Yes Schweinsteiger ![]() About Inter, they are not a team to fear (maybe Barca is), but we can't write them off. Gasperini is a good coach. I didn't know exactly how his Genoa played 3-4-3, but I remember a great and balanced 3-4-3, Brazil in WC2002. ----------------------Marcos------------------------ -------------Lucio-------------R.Junior------------- ---------------------Edmilson----------------------- ---Cafu---------------------------------R.Carlos--- ------------Kleberson-------G.Silva---------------- ------------------------------------------------------ ---------Ronaldinho--------------------------------- ---------------------------------Rivaldo------------- ------------------Ronaldo--------------------------- - Edmilson is a DM who can play CB to defend against counter-attack. - Cafu and R.Carlos own the right and left flank. - Kleberson and G.Silva are two mezz'ala who can both attack and defend. The mobility of the four: Cafu, Carlos, Kleberson and Silva help the team to have 7 men on attack (plus the front 3) and 7 men on defense (plus the back 3). The most important players for the system to work are Cafu and Carlos, the wingbacks. Barca's system is quite similar, but they have only D.Alves, so the LF - Pedro and the LCM - Iniesta must play wider. Inter can play: ----------------------------Cesar------------------------------ --------------Lucio---------------------Samuel--------------- --------------------Cambiaso/Zanetti------------------------- ---Maicon----------------------------------------Nagatomo--- --------------Motta-------------R.Alvarez-------------------- --------------------Sneijder----------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------Eto----- ----------------------------Pazzini----------------------------- - Cambiaso can play CB. Zanetti can't own a flank because of his age, he should be moved to the central or be a sub for both wings. - Nagatomo hasn't reached the WC level yet, so Eto needs to play wider to help. This is also the best way to use a energetic player like Eto. - R.Alvarez's natural position is ACM, so Inter can sell Sneijder and play him higher. This is an awesome system. IMO, Moratti must have thought of it before he appointed Gasperini. However, this is also a very demanding system. Maicon now and Nagatomo are not strong enough if they face a big team which can double the flank. And the subs: Jonathan, Chivu and Zanetti are unknow or not enough for the big task. All Brazil's R3 were phenomenon, they can create magic, while the front 3 of Inter are just mechanically strong. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 07-19-2011 I think the Inter back three will be Lucio, Samuel and Rannochia with Maicon and Nagatomo playing at both flanks. Personally, I think Serie A is Milan to lose next year, b/c of Ibra. Say what you want about his second half, but as long as he can help Milan get all the points in the first half, and chip in here and there in the second half, Milan will win Serie A. 3 pts will always be 3 pts in the league no matter when you get them. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Nalx - 07-19-2011 (07-19-2011, 10:58 AM)Gabriel426 Wrote: I think the Inter back three will be Lucio, Samuel and Rannochia with Maicon and Nagatomo playing at both flanks. Don't count your chicken yet, mate. We might've won the league six and twelve points above the 2nd and 3rd place respectively but that doesn't necessarily mean the title is ours to lose. In 2003-2004 we won even more comfortably with 11 and 13 points ahead of the 2nd and 3rd place. Back then we still had Sheva, the top scorer of that season, Kaka won the MVP on his debut season, and not to mention many of our players like Pirlo, Seedorf and the likes were in their prime ages. Looks like we're set for another title, right? Wrong. Juve won it, albeit later was stripped due to Calciopoli. Heck, we couldn't even be categorized as real contender until last season, often ran out of gas as early as winter. If anything, a scudetto shield can also mean having a target printed on your back. Every team wants to beat you. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 07-19-2011 i read something true this morning, i want to share with you. Defensive Mediano: Intercepts balls and breaks up plays... and rebuilds the attack. Fairly straightforward. Van Bommel, Rino, Ambro, etc. Pure CM Regista: Organizes the play, the fulcrum of the squad, typically operates just in front of the defense. Pirlo was epitome of a regista, and operated in front of the defense. Cesc is a much more mobile regista - and a fucking awesome one. Centrale: A CM that operates pretty much in the middle and is good in both attack and defense. While Schweini can play almost any midfield role, he is best described as a centrale. Offensive Mezz'ala: Seedorf. The trequartista's right hand man, able to dribble through players, play one-twos, shoot from outside the box, assist, and score goals. And, contributes defensively, though he does not regularly get back deep (because lack of stamina or tactical reasons). Esterno: Urby. A winger who beats his man to deliver the cross into the box. That's why Galliani and the media kept referring to him as ESTERNO during his transfer. Credit to Patistico from other Milan forum. i read that Moggi said that Calvano will be WC and compared him to De Rossi. also it seems he impressed Allegri in trainings. Regarding inter, i think that Castaignos, Jonathan, Nagatomo and Alvarez are good signings for the future. Jonathan is pretty good right wing back. They have Ranocchia for CB, they want to sign Casemiro and Banega. i can see they will have some problems to replace old guard with quality players in right time. i dont rate and i dont want Montolivo. like i didnt want and dont rate Witsel. Montolivo tries to play solid, good passing, good shooting. we watched our last game with them. What did Montolivo do? he drived with the ball?, made some dribblings? make some 1-2's? e.t.c. he stayed at his position, played a static role, has one good shoot. Above all, he is not a Mezz'ala. But Asamoah is. i want us to sign Asamoah instead. if we are thinking about Montolivo or cheap alternative for LCM, it means that we will go for Pastore. Ganso didnt impress during Coppa America, actually he never convinced me, plus he is risky transfer considering his price tag and injury problems. Santos asks for a fortune for him, they dont want to sell while Pastore is on the market. if we go for a cheap alternative for LCM, i'd rather to have Asamoah. Asamoah plus Pastore. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Jay Crisp - 07-19-2011 I like to speculate or dream if you will.Schweiny Cesc Ganso Hamsik Pastore , but being logical and reasonable I'd say like i said a player 10 - 15 mil bout 2 mil a season will arrive , And if Montolivo comes I cannot see anyone else coming. Montolivo Mexes Taiwo El Sharawwy will be it. Thinking about last year we needed 10 players fresh blood , and we have got.Ibra ,Binho ,Prince ,V.Bommel , Cassano , Urby ,Yepes ,Amelia ,Mexes ,Taiwo ,El Sharawwy, Paloschi , maybe Montolivo thats 13 new players getting rid of , Janku ,Favlainho , Onyewu ,Dida ,Pirlo with Seedorf Oddo 1 of V.Bommel Ambro to follow next summer. I don't see a Pastore Hamsik Ganso Schweiny Cesc arriving at all. Last year Ibra was a steal and Robinho was cheap enough by today's standards Cassano was super cheap and Mexes Taiwo were free.I personally prefer those deal's but none of the player's mentioned will able to arrive for less 30-35 million , and some 40 million +.I know FFP is coming up but we don't have that money to spend without a present (which we have never got a present from Berlu costing upwards of 40 million) from Berlu and say what you will no way thats happening with his fine. More about Ganso wanting only AC Milan well his agent says so http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2011/07/18/2580304/agent-reveals-santos-ganso-would-prefer-ac-milan-move-over-paris- |
