CSKA Moscow's €25m valuation of Keisuke Honda ends Juventus chase

That would be good news for Milan, since he is on sale for 25mil. With his Asian/Japan appeal, if he manages to play well and stay in Milan for 5 yrs, while Milan get to at least the quarter finals in CL in those 5 years. Just the extra TV revenue from that will probably be more than 25 mil.

Ganso>Honda as a football player.
It's not always a guarantee that a club will explode in a given market just because of an Asian player.
For every Nakata there is an Inamoto.I prefer Ganso as a football fan of AC Milan, Honda is good Ganso is better and will get even better ,while I don't know if Honda will reach that level.
Just my humble opinion.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - sylrus - 07-06-2011

its different
nakata is the 1st asian player in serie a after a long time they didnt have 1
the 1st one is king kazu
the diff is nakata beat juve in his debut
and yes
not every player is a nakata
lots of them is inamoto
but im pretty sure honda can be a "nakata" if he comes to either serie a, la liga or epl
and yes
ganso > honda
either 1 we get is fine for me

Have you seen Honda played? As he is not an unknown from Japan as he played in CL, ANd WC already. I am pretty sure he will do well in Milan and Serie A or any team he ends up at. At this point I think Honda is a better player but As I said earlier if I have to choose between the two, Ganso is the one as his upside is huge and he is not a bad player currently either.

Honda might not be a guarantee gateway for Milan to the Asian market but it certainly won't hurt. As mentioned, he is not a bad player actually he is a very good player and if he signs by Milan today, he will be in the starting 11 and is the most complete midfielder Milan have.

Another thing if Montolivo, and Marchiso is going for around 20 mil, than Honda is a bargain at 25. Since I don't think there are any Italian midfielders between the age of 23-29 who are better than him.

I haven't seen much of either ganso or Honda in real life(TV), but after seeing everyone ranting and racing about them I decided to buy them on Manager mode on FIFA11. If they are anything like they are in the game, then, I would prefer Honda. He is consisstently my best and most complete midfielder, he scores goals, long shots, good with both feet, he is tenacious, he has a high work rate, his stamina is rated at 90. Ganso on the other hand has better ball controll, dribbling skills and vision but his work rate and stamina are low and he is easily pushed off the ball.

This is the team I am playing with in my 4th season, if only it was real...

this is my current fifa11 team
Javier Hernandez Pato

Hamsik

D.Silva B.Schweinsteiger Honda

F.Coentrao V. Kompany T.Silva G.Van der Wiel

J. Hart

Subs:
D. Lovren
G. Rossi
I. Afellay
I. Abate
N.Sahin
C. Erikssen
P. Reina
Robino

In Allegrie`s system, honda would be a great addition, could play both ACM (boateng style with much more vision and technique) and also a very hard fought LM since he moves a lot and has a great shot.

Honda is inconsistent. He was often even benched in CSKA. That's what makes his price down. I think 20M are max for him, he should be no more expensive than Hamsik. Marchisio is expensive because he's Juve's youth product, one of the best they currently still have. Montolivo are nowhere near 20M even though he's captain, because his contract will expire in 1 year.

But I agree he is versatile, strong, has good technique, a lot of willpower... a better version of Boateng, I would say.
