Or Arsenal's for that matter. They're among the best IMO when it comes to scouring over the world for cheap, unknown, promising talents. No wonder Zamparini labelled them "pirates".

Anyway, we're linked with Nasri again. I always like him, and although some of you might disagree with me, I think he's more of a left-sided midfielder than a winger. His contract will expire in 2012 so he might not be as expensive as our other target like Hamsik. That said, Fergie was said to be interested in him too. Sadly, I think MU can outbid us if they want to.

manU wants him, but they also have other players there watching liike modric and others, plus i think arsenal would prefer sell to us than manU.

I think the idea here is to get another attacker in place of Cassano. For example, someone like Hamsik who can slot in as a second striker like Kaka when needed.

While I am 100% confident Hamsik is nowhere near Kaka's level....
... I even have doubts if he can be better than Cassano. Wink

but that's just my opinion Sagrin

I think u really can't say players are too expensive these days. since that's the market. Nobody is forcing the team to sign a 40 mil player who should really be around 20 mil. That's the nature of the transfer market now, u either live with it or move on and sign over 100 youngsters per year and hope that one of them will turn into a great player.
Sadly this is Milan, and Milan is a big club, so unless they stop acting and talking like a big club, they must sign expensive players to stay competitive.
The other thing is, maybe Hamsik is 25 mil plus Cassano, that close to 40 mil in value. If he manages to stay and play effectively in Milan for 8 yrs, that's only 5mil per year. If you ask me, I rather Milan sign someone like Hamsik for the amount now instead of trying to sign bargains at 8 mil evey other year due to them being crap and can't improve the squad.

It's interesting what you say. Obviously the teams don't have money to do that but I've wondered these things myself. Why not sign Ganso, Neymar, Danilo, Lamela, Jucilei, or others. At least (1) if not (2) will be world class and can pay for ALL of the signings + more. I understand the FICG rule, but I'm saying (1) potential WC player every mercato or every other.

I know this is not practical but one has to imagine. Point is, as someone insisted before, we're not willing to take a chance signing Fabregas, Hamsik, Ganso, Neymar, or anyone else???? If Galliani doesn't, we will all be very very disappointed. We need at least (1) if not (2) midfielders, one being World Class, and we would all like to see one of them younger than 24. Hopefully it'll all work out.

Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri set for Manchester City

Manchester City flexed their financial muscle on Thursday evening, pinching Gael Clichy from beneath the noses of Liverpool and hatching a plot to wreck Manchester United’s pursuit of Samir Nasri.

City have agreed a £7million, four-year deal for Arsenal left back Clichy but boss Roberto Mancini could return to the Emirates for Nasri, who has less than a year left on his contract, if he fails to net No 1 target Alexis Sanchez from Udinese.

And Passini Devilcool

He played (very) bad when I watched his games. I don't rate this guy at all. Albertazzi, who has not showed any significant improvement compared to previous years, still much better than him. Ely too, but I suppose that Pasini played ahead of Ely due to Pasini's older age. Our defense in Primavera has been crap and I think Pasini is the worst player in the defense. I hope I am wrong and he could turn to be a great defender which I do doubt.

But they miss a lot, Jay! At least regarding Brazilian market...

In the near past I was praising them here, but after thinking about the names they bought, the amount of terrible transfers mistakes they did here is astonishing.

The amount of money they spent here(with so so players) makes me think theres something filthy about those transfers...

The reason why we better let cassno go.

1, cassno is a dressroom timebomb.
2, cassno is slow and always in questionable conditioning.he is slower than our beloved slowdorf.
3, robinio can offer what cassno offers.
4, cassno is more like a facilitator,he is the 4th option in our attack. but we need a game changer to seriously challenge CL.
