Nothing against you or the joke in particular, but it's really annoying the whole nation gets lumped as wanting Brexit when the reality is there's a split right down the middle and frankly speaking, now that people understand the lies they were fed, the majority seemingly don't even want Brexit anymore. From a personal experience, since the Brexit vote I've noticed significant difficulties for minorities in the country and I've been having to deal with more racism (being British Asian) where ignorant idiots want me out of the country despite being born here and having been a model citizen all my life. Again, nothing aimed at you, but this is a sensitive subject and honestly a lot of decent people have been badly damaged by it. RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - Stitch - 07-12-2018 I think France will win it, but I really hope its Croatia. Would be an amazing story. Mrki, where art thou?
RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - am I Milan enough? - 07-14-2018 Wow England is so ordinary... hoping Sterling can dribble trough and Kane to score. RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - am I Milan enough? - 07-15-2018 VAR is so debatable. RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - reza - 07-15-2018 VAR on paper is for clear and obvious mistakes, in this WC they have intervened any time they wanted. RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - am I Milan enough? - 07-15-2018 Hands were not moving towards the ball, rules changed recently? 9 out of 10 after VAR was penalty. Nonsense RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - AC_Troy - 07-15-2018 Fuck France RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - SkyEdge - 07-15-2018 There was a french player infront of him.. how could he have possibly be intending to use his hands..? Even from the replay u could see the ball looked like it would make contact with the french player first.. but because it did not, it reached perisic and his hands got in the way.. he was already jumping ffs.. no way that could have been intentional.. the argentine ref was just like the argentine coach.. fa.. and team.. a total joke at this world cup RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - am I Milan enough? - 07-15-2018 Griezman dives leading to 1st goal, might as well use VAR for that. RE: World Cup 2018 Russia - nefremo - 07-15-2018 Everyone is talking about the penalty. I sympathize with both sides on that. You can really make valid arguments for both sides. It's hard to think that it was an intentional handball and the whole "arm in a natural position" argument is less valid as Mandzukic was jumping up so you could say when in mid-jump, that's a pretty natural position for an arm to be in. On the other side, it sure as hell looked like he moved his hand towards the ball in the last second. Don't think it was done consciously but rather instinctively...but does that really come into the argument (consciously or by instinct?)? Last thing to think about is the situation where the ball was heading. The only player there was Vida and in all likelyhood he would have cleared. So then, what did the handball really stop? A goal chance for France or or a chance for a clearance for Croatia? I understand you can't really say Vida would have cleared as now you are getting into hypothetical thinking and you can say "he could have misskicked the clearance", etc. My whole point is that arguments can be made for both sides on the pk. The BIGGER talking point should be the 1st goal. That was NOT a foul on Griezman. It was a dive. He kicked his legs out and created his own contact. So why didn't VAR step in and tell the ref? It could have even been a yellow for simulation. Instead, it turned into a goal scoring opportunity for France and the first goal was scored. Mistakes will be made....but why not use VAR there? All it should have been was a communication to the ref to let him know. "Reverse the call, there was no contact". DONE! game restarts and no time lost. I don't get it. |
