RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 04-19-2015 It's being reported a deal with Bee will be finalised in a week. I'll post more if I can later. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - reza - 04-20-2015 Fingers crossed for something good. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - reza - 04-20-2015 As Dev alluded to above It’s reported Thai investor Bee Taechaubol will buy into Milan on April 26 to eventually secure 65 per cent. Initially this will only be for 20 per cent, but it includes a clause pledging to buy another 40 per cent within the next 12 months. I don't know... How much is this guy's net worth? What are his long term plans for this club other than bringing back Paolo Maldini? RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 04-20-2015 As Reza said, Sky Sports seem certain Bee is in the lead at this point and Gazzetta reports the same this morning: http://www.milannews.it/rassegna-stampa/gazzetta-mrbee-sara-il-italia-il-26-aprile-sara-ricevuto-ad-arcore-da-berlusconi-174070 Here's the Sky Sports comment: http://www.milannews.it/calciomercato-milan/alciato-a-sky-mr-bee-arrivera-a-milano-il-26-aprile-chiudera-la-trattativa-di-acquisto-del-milan-174033 Here's a translation: http://www.football-italia.net/65407/mr-bee-milan-takeover-set Tuttosport also says the same, but says the Chinese consortium still have a strong chance to win the deal: http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/tuttosport-cessione-milan-mrbee-sbarchera-in-italia-a-fine-mese-ma-anche-la-cordata-cinese-e-pronta-al-rilancio-174062 I found this very interesting from Corriere Della Sera before the derby yesterday: http://www.milannews.it/news/corsera-il-messaggio-di-mrbee-prima-del-derby-guardero-la-partita-in-diretta-forza-milan-174072 Bee is quoted as saying Quote:A warm greeting to the President, the whole Berlusconi family and the leaders of the club, but especially a big cheer for Milan. From Bangkok I'll watch the game live, and I will be the most dedicated fan there is. Forza Milan! lol, wonder if the game yesterday gave him second thoughts about buying the club ![]() (04-20-2015, 08:53 AM)Arildonardo Wrote: Which means he doesn't have the money now, but hopes to have them within 12 months? I don't know... How much is this guy's net worth? What are his long term plans for this club other than bringing back Paolo Maldini? Bee doesn't have the net worth to buy Milan on his own (I think he's worth a little less than a billion), but he's the representative of a consortium thought to be made up of investors from Thailand and Singapore (maybe other parts of Asia too) and possibly Doyen Sports. Whether him or the Chinese group, the thought is that they would buy a minority share of Milan first, before investing to become a majority shareholder later. On his plans, the only one that seems certain is Maldini would return. There are a lot of rumours that Galliani would essentially be out, Barbara and the other management would be assessed (Barbara would probably be set to keep her job). Bee also apparently wants Montella or Conte (based on conversations with Maldini) as coach. Although nothing has been confirmed, Maldini has apparently already spoken to Bee and possibly the investors, though no one has confirmed anything. Also, Bee wants Silvio to remain honorary president. Not to say it wasn't the case anyway, but whether Bee or the Chinese consortium, something is definitely going on, as Barbara when questioned about the sale the other day and said she couldn't answer the question due to a confidentiality agreement. Whether you like to believe or not, being mega rich in China is very dangerous, as one harmless move can result in being sued by the Govt. Thanks for feedback on this, it's interesting to understand. I suspect that given the support the government has given to developing football in the country, this feasibly shouldn't be a major issue for Milan, while the consortium structure, rather than having a single investor, also reduces risk. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 04-20-2015 Following on from the news last night, Bee Taechaubol pretty much announces he's buying the club: http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/cessione-milan-mrbee-annuncia-domenica-a-milano-per-chiudere-l-accordo-con-berlusconi-174106 Here's the English translation: http://www.football-italia.net/65417/mr-bee-ill-buy-milan-sunday RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - devoted_dm - 04-20-2015 (04-20-2015, 01:06 PM)ACMILAN1983 Wrote: Following on from the news last night, Bee Taechaubol pretty much announces he's buying the club: Fingers crossed that Berlusconi has actually made a good decision this time. The Chinese sounded very ambitious, while this whole Bee thing seems a bit strange, especially since he's never bee able to explain where he's getting the money from. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - xudong - 04-20-2015 Can't believe it is happening so soon? In a week? I guess we will know in a week then! :d Fingers crossed.
RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - ACMILAN1983 - 04-20-2015 devoted, I'm not too surprised, most deals of this type are kept heavily under wraps. I'm actually surprised there's as much leaked as there has been. It'll also be a slow process imo, I don't expect radical changes on the pitch next season. RE: Venting, sell the club, etc. thread - Jay Crisp - 04-20-2015 Bee is a broker for a Singoporean consortium (apparently) it all sounds odd , and could well turn out to be nothing by nothing i mean no real change no big investment etc... not saying thats what will happen but as always ill believe we'll see change when it actually starts to occur. |
