The pregnant silence around our real target and the growing speculation in admittedly peripheral media outlets have raised my expectations. I think our interest is real, and our offer will be substantial. I know some here think that those of us waiting for the "Fabregas e' del Milan" headline in late July or August are deluded, but I have hope. The funds we are gathering from players' sales, and the funds we may gather from the departure of Cassano could be used to launch a 35 million euros+ bid.

Thiago Silva was in the news again today, professing his love for our shirt. I hope this doesn't turn into a Kaka saga, but I think it already has. Unfortunately, players who pledge fealty are never to be believed these days. Neither are, of course, officials. Galliani will keep TS as long as Berlu wants.

Paolo Berlusconi, the brother of Silvio, also recently said that if a colossal offer came in for TS it would make sense to sell him to buy many Thiago Silvas. Of course, it's absurd to think anyone but the best could do instead of T. Silva. Paolo hasn't learned that he comes from the Berlusconi family, but only one member of that family is the most successful. Further, what he says doesn't have much weight, but it shows an awareness of the fiscal, and not solely the sentimental. Sadly, I think TS will be in La Liga by 2013.

The transfer market is strange now. In particular, Barcelona and Real Madrid have made it impossible to compete. FFP will change the landscape to the detriment of Serie A sides (for reasons you already know). FFP rules also come at a time when Serie A needs to compete in Europe. The league already lost its 3rd spot, and it needs to reclaim it.

A big signing is needed now before we bear the full brunt of FFP.

Good post Hasan , as usual.
Yeah I'm thinking about Cesc more and more the last few day's and It isn't impossible.
Cesc is better than hamsik FACT!!.
So I'd prefer him , and until Aug I'll hold out hope.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 06-23-2011

I think Vidal will be a good signing for the midfield.. Let's not forget we need depth in the midfield most importantly and I think he can provide us with that. For 10mln euros, it's a steal.. Boriellos sale covers him, if we had Hamsik and Ganso that would be the perfect mercato

I actually thought that too. It would be cool to know where all of you are from. I know we have the option of identifying our location on our profiles, but no one fills that out (I'm guilty myself).

I'm from New York City.

BTW Siregar - nice little article for you on football-italia about how Mister X is Cesc. Okmilan

I hope if someone does meet Osuji, he doesn't say hallo and say "Hey Siregar!!! You are in Italy too!". Big Grin

I am from Indonesia btw (North Sumatera).

Well, about Fabregas, my favorite player to come to Milan is Ganso. I just like watching him play-making the game. Big Grin
Thanks russo-neri to let me know. I'll read that.

I get influenced by Moggi's statement saying like that Milan should be clever in their searching of quality midfielder. He said that Fagregas is the quality for Milan, not Hamsik (or something like that, I forget something easily you all know Big Grin. The point is he recommended Fabregas not Hamsik since Hamsik wouldn't give so much impact to Milan like Fabregas would). That's why I keep dreaming Fabregas. Big Grin

Boateng is EU player. He is German (his brother plays for Germany).

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 06-23-2011

If we sign fabregas ill be overjoyed.. I think we'll make one big signing and probably a smaller signing for the midfield like vidal or witsel, someone like that..

Ok guys now its for u to pinch urselves and wake up to reality..there won't be Fabregas coming...Ganso most likely and if we are lucky we'll get Hamsik too. Usually when we are linked with players, we rule them out due to lack of financial power, this time ii know we have the capability to buy him, however I am not sure we have the players desire to join us. This is a different matter..however Barca have said that Cesc might be too expensive...

I say the less possible we make it seem, the more Galliani will try for it...so for superstition sake - let's just say Cesc is impossible and unattainable...who's with me?

I've just heard the news. Juve are rich. Big Grin

How will they spend it Big Grin

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 06-24-2011

Honestly, I really don't think Cesc is coming as Arsenal is asking for 40mil. And if the price drop to around 30mil, Barcelona will just jump in and win Cesc.

The more I think about it, Hernanes might be the one.

As for selling Silva, well if a club offers 50mil for him, that's a hard offer to refuse.

In today's climate, I don't think selling any player is wrong as long as the team uses te money to get better players unlike what Milan did with Sheva and Kaka.

Honestly, Milan pride itself as being a big club..... Yet Juve is out spending Milan over the past few years without CL football while funding it's own stadium. Hows that for great financial management.
