I just read that Balotelli took a 50% pay cut to join Liverpool. Could that even be possible?

You know what is really interesting about the Raiola interview, he was saying Mario isn't a leader. He had trouble taking that leadership position and ultimately needs to go to Liverpool so the pressure can be taken off of him. I can't imagine why any milanista would want him here if that's the case. Ultimately, that is what this team is lacking and to have basically all that money tied up in one player who can't lead isn't beneficial for this team.
I'm sorry to see him go but I think this is the best thing for our youth project to be honest. More pressure on DCS, ELS and maybe even Niang, Cristante or Saponara to step up and see what they can do. Whether we get someone else or not, I am interested in seeing the young guys finally in action!

I think it is pretty much confirmed now, he took a pay cut but easy bonuses to make it go back up quickly

How easy? Bonus tied to social media exposure? If so, easy yes for Balotelli.

Since Shevchenko, how many attackers have we used? All of them seem to have a short career with Milan, one reason or another. The only one that can hold his head up is Ibrahimovic. No one else has lived up to their potential, from Gilardino to Pato to Balotelli.
