Without him, Inter are nothing. Sneijder & Maicon also want to leave a sinking ship. Yes and no. I don't think the Brazil or Argentina media can control the Int'l media in hyping their youngsters. I think it has more to do with youtube and the teams these players are playing in. For example an U21 Czech hotshot might not be playing in the top teams in their respective league where as someone from Brazil is different. IE Neymar and Ganso at Santos. Then you have youtube which is making Baresi into the top scoring CB of all time, but what people don't know is that all the goals Baresi scored in the youtube clip were pretty much all his goals in his long career. Then when you talk about why are clubs in Brazil and Argentina is selling their players at such high prices. That is something thanks to England and their media about their youngsters. I mean, if I am a club owner and read that Phil Jones is just sold for 20mil, I don't think I will sell the next Silva for anything less than that. Just business sense, nothing more. Dude, not once in my post did i question Galliani or El Shaarawy or his purchase, I was just replying someone about hyping youth players. I am not sure about that Braida Vs Galli thing, since I really don't know the whole story behind any of those transfers. To me, I think El Shaarawy from what I seen at least has something that Milan lacks and that's speed up front as well as finding space to cut in behind strikers. I think he will fits well playing next to Ibra and Pato up front. I can see that with he will benefit a lot due to his movement and speed playing next to Ibra. While Milan will be deadly on the counter with Pato and him upfront. Almost as frustrating as missing on hernanes last year, except we used the nonEU spot on Robinho (so atleast we got a great player in one aspect... in pastore's we got sheva instead.. ugh) I'm frustrated, too, but I don't think we could buy Pastore with just 8M. His old club could think his price must be the same as Pato's. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - tim_milan - 06-17-2011 If El Shaarway had to play at Genoa the next season why did we have to spend 6 million (including Merkel s half). I think he shud play with Milan even if as a bench player which will help us evaluate if he fits in our system. Hamsik - Mr. Allegri s top priority as per Milannews. http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=54879 RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - bijon - 06-17-2011 my dream would be to get modric and hamsik. Modric would be the perfect replacement for pirlo, even better. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 06-17-2011 Modric is no way better than Pirlo. He is younger than Pirlo I do agree. About Pastore, Jovetic, etc, they were all promising players. No one can now what they will be. Fans only told about the success ones, where the fail ones (many also were hyped but we don't know where they are playing today) are not mentioned here. In the last years we were not really interested in signing talents who are not really super talents, like Pastore, Jovetic, etc. Only in recent years we started to like signing youngsters. I'm pretty sure the agreement is El Shaarawy stays with Milan, Merkel to Genoa. What's interesting is Preziosi said the operation is a 25m one for Milan to get El Shaarawy. Not sure if this is true, or if he's just trying to appease the Genoa fans (they are pretty angry about the transfer). (06-17-2011, 09:21 AM)Siregar Wrote: Modric is no way better than Pirlo. He has excellent vision, he is a two footed player, perfectly able with both feet. His passing is impecable. His vision and ability to pick a pass is impressive. He is techncally better than Pirlo, a better dribbler, more agile and more reactive(quicker reactions). His stamina is also superior to Pirlos. Right now as it stands, he is better than Pirlo. ![]() (06-16-2011, 01:57 PM)russo-neri Wrote: Is the sinking ship Inter? Or Serie A? two bad moves by moratti. the first was to get benitez to kill the horse(inter) then leonardo to beat the dead horse ![]() it will now take a really good coach to rebuild that team, most of their players are past it and the rest are unmotivated. If Eto and Sneider go, they are screwed. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - The Kaiser - 06-17-2011 Rather than splashing an obscene amount of money trying to secure the services of the likes of Fabergas, Pastore and Hamsik (any of whom will cost no less than 30 million) I'd be more than happy if we just acquired both Honda and Ganso for a combined fee of no more than 35-40 million. It's a shame that we haven't focused on Honda for the LM position as he has all the attributes that Allegri is seeking (physical, speed, work rate, technical skills) and he will come relatively cheaply. That way we will have an amazingly fast and solid line-up that looks like this: ------KPB-----------MvB----------Honda-------- ---------------------Ganso----------------------- ---------------Pato---------Ibra------------------ With this formation, we will have the mercurial skills of Ganso to create openings for our forwards, the beastly defensive skills of MvB, which coupled with his impressive ball distribution will allow our fast LM & RM (and aided by our even faster fullbacks Abate and Taiwo) to terrorize our opposition in attack, and track back quickly when defending. This for me would be the best possible outcome of the summer transfer season. Also, with the likes of Seedorf, Ambro, Gattuso, Flamini, Emanuelson and Al Shaarawy as cover for our midfield, and Robinho and Cassano for our strikers, we will have GREAT squad depth. If anything, we have way too many pure DMs (MvB, Gattuso, Ambro and Flamini). That's why I would've been quite content with parting ways with Gattuso, alas, now that he's sticking around I suggest that we sell Flamini and try to develop Strasser for the future. There, 2 cents given!! I guess I'll continue perusing this forum but I won't be making that many posts because this is just teasing of the highest order, kind of like going to a strip club when you are broke (look what you can have for 20 quid, oh you don't have that, well that fancy gentleman over there will do, have a nice evening )(06-17-2011, 09:46 AM)bijon Wrote:(06-17-2011, 09:21 AM)Siregar Wrote: Modric is no way better than Pirlo. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 06-17-2011 Genoa president declared that Merkel's half costed them 5 m euros, cuz Milan valued him at 10 m euros. He also said that Merkel is young but ready for Serie A...Then he said that El Shaarawy costed us 25 m euros... |
