I don't see anything where Merkel is going to Genoa.Source ?.
Also I don't think he should go , if we are looking to build a team for the future with young player's and home grown player's then guy's like Merkel ,Strasser , Berretta , must stay. And adding young player's with good potential mixed in with one or 2 great signings a year is the way to go.
It's more or less Barca does and didnt happen overnight for them , so snap up young players that are good and could be great and hold onto your'e own homegrown player's that show promise.

Im hoping we have all our new signings by pre season training so they can fit into our team and gel , for the start of the season.

I think the deal for Merkel will be the same as for Strasser ... Co-owned, but staying in Milan. He's just used there to ease the negotiations for El Sharaawy.

About our signings, Galliani stated that until August, only one player will come, and "Mister X" should be signed at the end of August ...

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 06-15-2011

I was disappointed that Merkel goes to Genoa on co-ownershipd deal and think: "Wtf man, he is our best talented player until now, no way we make co-ownership deal where he could play with first team in some games means he could play as starter or squad rotation in smaller club. Then I am glad that we could get half of that Egyptian-Italian player (hard to write his name). It's win-win solution for both of us, Milan and Genoa.

Merkel is going to be in Genoa next season not Milan, he will be there with Beretta. Merkel will be in Genoa as he turned down Novara.

I only see it on Goal.com.
It's stupid as it leaves us with only Seedorf in mid who has any creativity.Unless we sign a few player's .
If AC Milan want ElSharawwy they should buy him.Not try trades , Merkel has load's of potential and it will be retarded to give half of him away and have the player not at our club.
If in the next couple of seasons he proves to be really good then we'll end up paying stupid money for him to get the 50% back. It's not the sign of a team wants to build for the future...Hey lets get a talented 18 year old okay buy we'll have to give away a talented 19 year old to try and do it.RETARDED

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - reza - 06-15-2011

More co-ownerships? I am still against this silly idea...

if we were to try and buy El Shaarawy now Genoa would want stupid money for him far more than we will pay in having a co-ownership deal, we can pay €15 million for him now and and realise he isn't as good as we thought or we can pay the 6 mil now see how he goes on at Genoa and if he thrives in Serie A buy the other half of him for 7 million for example overall we have spent 13 million and had a good assesment of the player, look at the deal Galliani did with Genoa earlier - KPB,amelia, Paloschi back to milan and Papa back to Genoa, he knows what he is doing, just give it time afterall the co-ownership for Borri made him.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 06-15-2011

Co ownership deals are both good and bad. Thing I don't understand is that if Milan is going to sign someone like Witchel for 15 mil, why don't they just keep Merkel for a year and spend 20 mil on someone like Hernanes or VDV.
